Elyse Bassman
I offer a nonjudgmental space to explore your inner world and build relationship with all parts of yourself. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief, shame, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. I also enjoy supporting adult children of emotionally immature parents, college students, and highly sensitive people. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel deeply seen, understood, and accepted—and where you can gradually find your way back to yourself.
My approach integrates compassionate talk therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (parts work/inner child work) EMDR, psychoeducation, and practical coping and resourcing skills. I specialize in anxiety and trauma and tailor therapy to each client's unique needs. Together, we'll work to better understand your nervous system, process painful experiences, and cultivate a more secure, compassionate relationship with yourself.
Clients often describe my style as warm, gentle, and deeply validating. It is a genuine privilege to accompany people in this work. If you have questions or would like to schedule a consultation, I'd love to hear from you.
