Kat Grau Psychotherapy
Welcome! You are taking a brave first step by seeking therapy. It is natural to want to avoid what is difficult and scary. Unfortunately, this avoidance often reinforces fear and slows healing. My goal is to support you in facing what feels overwhelming at a pace that is safe and sustainable.
For the past five years, I have worked primarily with survivors of sexual and relationship abuse, individuals coping with loss, and individuals navigating difficult life transitions. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space that is safe, warm, and trauma-informed. I utilize a relational-approach informed by evidence-based practice.
Some people enter therapy with well-defined goals, while others begin therapy simply with the desire to change. I strive to help you define your individual therapeutic goals and to support you towards these goals at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Research has shown that more important to any modality utilized by your therapist is your connection and trust in them. I believe that therapy works best when it is grounded in a genuine and collaborative relationship. I look forward to speaking with you further!
