- Pre-Licensed Professionals
Hi, I’m Sara (she/her). My approach to therapy is warm, honest, curious, non-judgmental, and above all, relational. My primary focus is
on co-creating an authentic therapeutic relationship where you experience the safety, empathy, and trust which make room for
experimenting with new ways of thinking and being. I believe there is no one “right” way to engage in therapy, just as there is no one
“right” way to live a life. Sometimes we need to deeply understand (and mourn) the past, sometimes we need practical tools for
navigating a challenging present, and sometimes we simply need space to be witnessed without having to hold it all together.
I am interested in working with clients across the lifespan and with a variety of presenting concerns. Our work might range from
open-ended “talk therapy” to more structured interventions depending on what works best for you. You certainly don’t need to come in
knowing exactly what you need out of therapy, either: we can figure it all out together!
My work is integrative, drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations including trauma- and complex trauma-informed,
attachment-informed, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral. I have clinical interest and prior experience in working with complex
trauma survivors as well as with adult women with lived experience in the commercial sex trade, including trafficking and exploitation.
In addition to counseling, I am a member of the Human Trafficking Research Hub at William James College, where I contribute to
research on the psychological consequences of sex trafficking. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a
Holistic Studies specialization from Lesley University and a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Wellesley College (Go Blue!).
Whether or not we end up working together, I hope the right help finds you, and that whatever you’re holding grows lighter to carry.
