Hello! My passion is working with university students to live their best lives with healthy minds, bodies, and spirits. I have tailored my career, since residency, to working with this wonderfully diverse population while at the University of Illinois, followed by a move to Boulder, CO, then settling down in Fort Collins, and working at the Colorado State University Health Network for several years. I’m now in private practice down the road from CSU and across from the vet school. And I am licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming (with office space in Fort Collins, CO and Laramie, WY) I trained at the University of Illinois for both medical school (2005) and residency (2009) in psychiatry. I offer both psychotherapy and medication management. While I have expertise in many mental illnesses, I have a strong interest in ADHD, sleep disorders, women’s health issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to thrive! Feel free to send me an email!
As a therapist, I am all about helping you taking the wheel. I'm here to guide you through uncharted waters, but you're the captain of your own ship. Together, we'll navigate the highs and lows, working towards insight and growth. My approach is direct and transparent while being rooted in empathy and understanding, ensuring that you feel heard, valued, and respected every step of the way. You can expect a blend of approaches tailored to your specific needs. Whether it's delving into the past with a psychodynamic lens, challenging current patterns with cognitive behavioral techniques, or providing a listening ear with a person-centered touch, our sessions are all about what works best for you. Above all, I want you to feel empowered to explore, to question, and to grow. This journey is yours, and I'm here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and a little bit of encouragement when you need it most. So, if you're ready to embark on this journey of self-discovery and healing, I'm here and ready to travel with you every step of the way. Let's take that first step together.
I believe that what many of us desire most is a richness of connection - to ourselves, the ones we love, and the natural world around us. In my own experience, therapy offered a path forward, helping me cultivate a secure attachment within myself during a time that felt totally chaotic. Healing took place through being in the presence of a warm and compassionate guide, who could shine a light for me on possibility when I felt stuck in my same patterns. Many of my clients are seeking this: a guided opportunity to embrace their Whole Self so that they can find more presence, meaning and joy in their relationships and in their lives. My approach is collaborative and personalized, drawing upon my training in Gestalt Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based modalities. I also enjoy working with the Enneagram, which can serve as a powerful tool for spiritual and relational development. I believe that self inquiry and transformation is a patient process that requires courage, tenderness, honesty, and oftentimes a sense of humor. What I offer is more than a 60 minute session, but an invitation to step into a new way of being inside and outside of our time together. Want to chat more? I offer 20-minute complimentary consultation calls.

Hello! I've spent my entire career (30+ years) working with undergraduate and graduate university students, both in the United States and abroad. I've worked in several University Counseling Centers and also serve as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals, including those from diverse backgrounds, who are grappling with many different issues: transition to college, relationship struggles, family issues, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, identity, sexual orientation, grief/loss, and existential challenges. I've worked with student-athletes, international students, people of color, LGBTQIA individuals, study-abroad students, members of Greek Life, and graduate/doctoral students. I am a down-to-earth, insightful, non-judgmental, REAL, sometimes funny, and consistently compassionate therapist. I love working with college students! I've been told by many clients that I'm easy to talk to. I will listen, support you, provide honest feedback, and help you to navigate your challenges effectively so you can be your best self as you pursue your educational and life goals. I am based in Boulder, Colorado can meet with you virtually or in-person at my office on Broadway. I look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome! Whether you are beginning your therapeutic journey for the first time or returning to continue your progress, I am so glad you’re here. Starting therapy is a significant step towards self-discovery and healing, and I commend you for taking it! I have a profound commitment to assisting individuals, especially young adults, who are dealing with trauma and anxiety. These experiences can be challenging and often overwhelming, affecting various aspects of life. My specialization in trauma therapy provides you with a safe, supportive space to explore and heal from past experiences. Similarly, my experience in anxiety management can support you in understanding and overcoming the symptoms that may be impacting your daily life. I have worked in Community Mental Health for over three years where meeting with clients in some of their darkest times has influenced me to take specified approaches to therapy. I work alongside you, guiding and supporting your journey with an approach tailored to your needs, and your feedback is invaluable for productive sessions.
I specialize in treating women who are experiencing relationship issues (including relationship to self!), life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, and existential crises. I enjoy working with people in crucial early adulthood as they are working to navigate new worlds, further identify selfhood, and chart a life path.
Who I work with: - People who are fired up and ready to do this - “Refugees” from conventional eating disorder treatment who are ready to finally get to the root of the issue - Folks with some sass, fire, and rebelliousness (with a soft and sensitive core) - Quirky go-getters, nerds and misfits, and outsiders with undercover witchy tendencies - People who want better relationships, emotional resiliency skills, and a healthier relationship with food and their body - People who’ve tried talk therapy and have an inkling there’s something more: a deeper, more soulful connection to themselves and all their inner parts. *I welcome folks of all identities and sizes How I work: Is it frustrating for you when people tell you to “just let it go” or “be kinder to yourself”? As if there were some switch you could flip…if you just weren’t so stubborn / clueless / goofy. First up: there is no such switch. (If there were, someone would have patented it by now). Second up: suggestions like this, no matter how well-intentioned, almost never work. They can also leave us feeling frustrated and like failures. Self-compassion and emotional healing are trickier than most people (or cutesy magnets) would have you believe. Myth: Just talk through why you feel this way and you problem will vanish. Truth: Real healing takes more than head-knowing. It’s a whole-bodied affair. This is why typical talk therapy - where you come in, sit on a couch, share how you feel - often falls short. You leave feeling like "ok, I feel a little better, but now what?" So I work a little differently. Still talk, still insight, but more connection to body, intuition, and emotions. We get beyond the "why" and get to the actual "how" of real change. You can read more about my approach at www.stephaniesmallhealth.com. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and nutritionist. I received my BA from Yale University, my MSW from Smith College for Social work, and certificates in Holistic Nutrition Education and Mental Health Nutrition from Bauman College and the Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition. I ran the nutrition program at a substance abuse recovery center in Denver for two years and have trained in trauma therapy, internal parts work, somatic therapies, and more. I currently maintain a private practice online and in Boulder and Denver, CO, write for national and local publications, consult for mental health agencies and substance abuse recovery centers, and speak at live events.
Hi there! I’m Erin Hernandez and I am a licensed psychotherapist (LPC). I believe that our bodies are a vehicle for our spirit. It is our human right to feel safe, loved and seen as who we really are. When we feel these three things we are able to fully inhabit our vehicle (our body) and use it for transformation. I am not currently accepting insurance. Please check here or my website for session rates. I offer free 15 minute phone or zoom consultations and you can schedule that through my website. When scheduling your consultation, please email or text me if you prefer your consultation to happen over zoom.
Do you have that sinking sensation that you are not in control of your own life? Your decisions are governed by hidden desires, urges, fears, and conditioning - the unconscious. If unexamined it has the terrible power to ruin you, but, if harnessed, it can be a source of incredible power, motivation, and creativity. Now is the time to take your first step towards freedom. Pick up the torch of awareness and walk, head held high, into the darkness of your unconscious mind!
The Raimy Psychology Clinic at the University of Colorado was founded in 1960 and has been providing affordable psychological treatment for over 40 years to adults in the Boulder County area, including University of Colorado students, faculty and staff. The Department of Psychology at the University of Colorado maintains the Raimy Clinic as a training site for graduate students in the Clinical Psychology PhD program. Graduate student therapists provide therapeutic services and are supervised by licensed psychologists and other experienced mental health professionals. The primary goal of the Clinic is to provide an introduction to clinical training for clinical psychology graduate students. The secondary goal of the Clinic is the provision of quality psychological services to the community at large. An additional goal of the Clinic is the integration of research and clinical training. Because of the training function of the Clinic, we offer psychological services at substantially reduced fees, assessed on the basis of a sliding scale, with low flat rates for full-time CU Boulder students, faculty, or staff. We are a fee for service clinic and do not accept insurance. Credit card payments are made through a secure online system. Contact the intake coordinator for more information about our services and rates. We are committed to providing services to those who are currently underserved, including economically-disadvantaged, ethnic and sexual minorities, as well as families. Welcome! I know from my own experiences as well as the many clients I have worked with over the years that therapy is an important pathway towards growth and healing. We will create a space where you can be open, expressive, learn new ways of seeing yourself and the world, new ways to cope with the challenges of life, and create new paths to relationship. We work together to bring wholeness, connection and a rediscovery of your strength and purpose. I am sensitive to the parts of our selves that make us unique, which includes different expressions of gender, sexuality, culture, socio-economic status, ethnicity, race, political ideology, religion, LGTBQIA2S+ identity, and intersectionality. I use mindfulness, my own therapy and consultation to help me address bias that might come up in my work. I partner with clients with an orientation towards social justice, honoring difference and our own deep knowledge of ourselves and our needs.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a strong foundation in trauma-focused work, but my practice is much more expansive. Anxiety, sadness, loneliness, low self-esteem, self-doubt, distress, difficulty sleeping and discomfort in our bodies are indicators that we need support. I am passionate about helping clients navigate difficult transitions, using these challenges as catalysts for healing and growth. With over 25 years of experience in various therapeutic modalities, I provide client-centered and trauma-responsive therapy grounded in compassion and empathy. It is a privilege to guide clients in processing and integrating past and present experiences. I employ Internal Family Systems (IFS) "parts work" (an approach that helps us understand and heal from past experiences by identifying and addressing different parts of our psyche), attachment theory, EMDR and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT).
