I love working with college students. You are at an exciting pivot point in your life. Adjusting to college is both exciting and daunting. You may be dealing with social, cultural and academic stress as you adjust to a new environment. You may begin to look at your childhood and teen years from a new perspective. You may be thinking about the life you want to design for yourself moving forward, and the impact you want to make in the world. I have worked with student athletes and others juggling the demands of college life. In Colorado Springs, I work with students from Colorado College, UCCS, and Pikes Peak State College. I am happy to work with students from UC Boulder and Colorado School of Mines via Telehealth. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and thrive, and sort out what's distressing or confusing you, including academic stress, romantic relationships, family relationships, friendships, and your relationship with yourself. I offer ways to understand and manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity issues. I am client-centered and take a holistic biopsychosocial approach. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and I use evidence-based practices and the latest scientific research to help you achieve relief, clarity, and joy.

Hi there, if you've been struggling with difficult thoughts and feelings it's possible that they've felt like barriers to doing the things that are important to you. Therapy can help by first identifying what these barriers are, and making a plan for getting you back to activities that create meaning in your life. I provide individual psychotherapy in a warm, encouraging, and collaborative style. I use a blend of techniques that are backed by research to ensure you're getting the best care possible. If you're unsure about therapy please contact me for a free consultation call to see if we might be a good fit. From there if we decide to work together we can begin treatment by identifying what your struggle has been, and how we can get you back to living the life you want. I look forward to speaking with you soon!

Hello, I'm Mercy, a mother and a wife. Life is a continuous journey that has no end until we take our last breath! While we partake in this journey, it is well known that it can be challenging. However, one has the power to ease the pain associated with this journey through understanding when help is needed, seeking the help, and being open to accepting the support. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006 and my master’s degree in counseling in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs campus in 2012. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and Arizona. Over the course of my clinical career, I have worked and trained in residential treatment and community mental health centers including department of corrections and private practice. I consider myself a lifelong learner and crave learning new information. Due to my intensive training in Marriage and Family Therapy in graduate school, I have made this area my primary passion and focus. I have participated in extensive postgraduate training in addictions. However, I also greatly enjoy providing individual and group counseling for children and adults who are looking for support with more mild life stressors such as depression, anxiety, parenting education, health and wellness, and behavioral struggles. I specialize in family relationships, multicultural/diversity issues, grief/bereavement, depression, anxiety, anger management, and spirituality. I approach my work with a sense of humor, respect, humility, and honesty. I am honored to join my clients in their individual journeys towards wellness, leading to their brighter future. Drug & Alcohol Counselor
Boulder, CO

I work primarily in the areas of addiction, adoption, trauma, and spiritual needs. As an addiction counselor, I work primarily with young men and women struggling to overcome compulsive use of drugs, alcohol, pornography, and internet usage. This may range from life-destructive addiction to those just beginning to see that their use is bringing things they don't want. As an adoption counselor, I work to help adult adoptees confront the issues that may or may not be stemming from being given up for adoption. And as a trauma therapist, I work with the mind-body connection to help those calm their nervous system, and reclaim a clear mind. Finally, all of my work entails the use of mindfulness, and working with the body's response to the mind. This makes my approach very suitable for those beginning to connect to their own sense of spirituality.

Brooklyn, NY

Hi! My name is Alicia, and I want to meet you. Yes, you! College can be intense. You're away from home with the pressure to succeed and do well, but there's also dealing with roommates, parties, and being around people who resemble aliens. You know, they just don't get you and you've never encountered anyone quite like them before. On top of this, you may be the first in your family to go to college. You can't admit to them that it's hard. They had all their hopes and dreams riding on you. So where to go? Come to therapy! Yes, therapy. It may be your first time talking to someone, but I promise it helps to tell someone what you're thinking and what you're feeling. College doesn't have to be scary, and you don't have to go through it alone. We can figure it out together. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with many college students, especially those who identify as first-gen and/or veterans. Therapy with me is conversational. In sessions, you can speak freely. I'm not into judging. That would probably make me a lousy therapist. I offer thoughtful reflection and point out patterns in your behavior that may not be the most helpful, and then we problem-solve and strategize solutions to help get you feeling better. I can also teach you skills to help when your emotions feel overwhelming.

We are located on a 43-acre campus in beautiful Estes Park, CO where we try and utilize our backyard as much as possible. During the client’s stay in our residential care, they will benefit from 24-hour attention provided by highly skilled staff, ensuring comprehensive clinical, medical, and spiritual support. Individualized treatment is based on each client’s personal goals and preferences, level of motivation, co-occurring mental health, medical, and spiritual needs. The residential addiction treatment program consists of men’s and women’s tracks. These tracks conducted separately, with men and women living and receiving treatment in separate facilities. This allows us to address the underlying issues that affect each differently that contribute to the disease of addiction. Mornings focus on group-based cognitive behavioral therapy, leveraging the outdoors as often as possible. Daily hikes along our “12 Step” Trail are normal, while afternoons are set aside for educational offerings. Individually, clients meet weekly with a primary therapist and a case manager. Additional services are available as well, such as specialty groups for 12 Step, Trauma, and Co-Occurring Disorders. Clients diagnosed with mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, and other trauma-related responses, meet with appropriate staff. Clinical staff work with clients to teach healthy coping skills while the medical team provide medication management.

Boulder, CO

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, the complexities of life transitions and more. You might be struggling with unhelpful thought patterns, emotional overwhelm, or difficult dynamics with others—or maybe you're just feeling stuck and not sure why. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and build meaningful steps toward the life you want to live. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you reconnect with the strength that’s already within you. Real change begins in a space that feels safe, supportive, and real. That’s what I aim to create: a place where you can be fully seen, heard, and supported. I show up as a real person in the therapy room—with empathy, warmth, and curiosity. My approach is active, collaborative, and inclusive, grounded in values like self-compassion, empowerment, and nonjudgmental awareness. I strive to strike a balance between being supportive and gently challenging, so you feel encouraged to grow at your own pace. In our first session, we’ll take time to understand who you are, what you’re experiencing, and how your past has shaped your present. I take a holistic view, honoring your individuality, identity, and lived experiences. Together, we will design a treatment plan grounded in evidence-based practices that may include CBT, ACT, DBT or EMDR, empowering you with tangible tools to support your healing and create lasting change.
