Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
I am a dual licensed therapist close to CSU and UW in Laramie, WY. My background in Animal Assisted Social Work and being a military veteran give me unique experiences to serve student veteran clients and clients that are in need of assistance moving to the next step of adulthood.
Figuring out what we're thinking and feeling is an important task that can help us figure out how to go after what we really value. I help college students, especially men, identify their thoughts and feelings so they can pursue what they value and communicate more effectively with the important people in their life. I have almost 10 years of experience working with people to figure out what's important and pursue it in a way that builds confidence and improves well-being.
Unhelpful patterns and disconnection in relationships can keep partners unseen, frustrated, exhausted, and alone. It might be frequent fights, or conflict that escalates, or a desire for a deeper connection. I help couples with presentations ranging from premarital checkups to moving past affairs and high conflict. You can get to a clearer level of understanding and break out of your typical pattern. In nourishing a relationship, we build a safe haven of comfort and joy which gives the strength to face life challenges. This powerful force, called love, is the most important thing in this life. As a scientist-practitioner (24 research publications), I am devoted to effective, scientifically proven methods that forever change lives and relationships. I have advanced training in the most effective couples therapy methods (Emotion-Focused and Gottman Method). I can’t tell you how much I love seeing real change for the couples that I work with! I will guide you in having conversations that will move you and your partner toward a more secure relationship with greater joy. You don’t have to live another day with a sense of wanting more and wondering how to move toward the relationship you are yearning for. I hope you do reach out here or at www.TashaSeiterTherapy.com. I would love to help.
Grounded, Compassionate and Practical Therapy I work with people navigating change, loss, grief, relationship changes, identity shifts, and the quiet moments when life no longer fits the way it used to. These are tender, often disorienting seasons, and you don’t have to move through them alone.
I'm an LGBTQIA+, anxiety, and trauma therapist, working with students across Colorado. Do you feel weighed down by anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, or the lasting impact of religious harm? Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ adults or survivors of religious trauma who carry exhaustion, dread, and fear from living in systems that questioned, silenced, or shamed who they are. Clients also come to me with anxiety, which often shows up as hypervigilance, burnout, or the ache of feeling like you're not enough. You may long for healing and the freedom to be fully yourself. You are not alone, healing is possible, and your story matters. I provide affirming, trauma-informed therapy rooted in narrative, somatic, and liberation-focused practices. Together we’ll untangle harmful messages that have shaped you, teach your body to feel safe, calm your nervous system, and re-author the stories holding you back. You'll reclaim your identity while moving toward a more authentic and empowered life. As a queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-oppressive therapist, I offer care that is tender, respectful, and at the right pace for you. Whether you’re healing from trauma, recovering from a harmful spiritual background, or seeking growth beyond anxiety or hard life transitions, I'll walk with you in it. I am a counselor and wellness coach in the physical and mental wellness space. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic theories and use a person-centered approach, tailoring interventions to align with each client’s unique needs. I believe the relationship between counselor and client is the cornerstone to therapeutic work. My priority is to create a space that encourages authenticity and facilitates healing and positive change. I specialize in Person Centered Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am passionate about individualized health and wellness that supports living life to the fullest.
I believe that meaningful change begins with acceptance, self-compassion, and a safe space to explore life's challenges. My therapeutic approach is centered on helping clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves while recognizing and building upon their inherent strengths and resilience. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to move toward their goals at their own pace. Together, we work to identify patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools that foster healing, growth, and lasting change. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet each client's unique needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive and behavioral approaches, mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and strengthen adaptive beliefs. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or seeking greater self-understanding, I am committed to supporting you with compassion, collaboration, and respect throughout your therapeutic journey.

Drawing from 10+ years of clinical experience, I use a solution-focused approach to teach skills to overcome worry, depression, anger, stress, guilt, low self-esteem, sleep issues, relationship struggles, and parenting challenges. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed to diagnose and treat mental illness. I especially enjoy working with college students struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD and ADHD. I prescribe medications, recommend natural treatments, and behavioral approaches for a patient-centered approach to help students achieve their goals for wellness and recovery. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health at Vanderbilt University. As an NP, I have experience working at a major academic center working with patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
I founded Keshet Counseling to support individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. My work is especially meaningful to those navigating the complexities of chronic illness, such as Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, MCAS, and other invisible disabilities, as well as those facing antisemitism or discrimination for not aligning with political or institutional expectations. I also work closely with teens and adults dealing with antisemitism, narcissistic abuse, multicultural identity issues, codependency, love addiction, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is rooted in body centered somatic psychology using mindfulness. We’ll explore unconscious beliefs and patterns shaping your experience by noticing whats happening for you in this moment. I hold a humanistic view of healing: I believe you are already whole, worthy, and deeply capable of transformation. My role is to help reconnect you to your own inner knowing, and I view our relationship as a collaborative space where your voice and wisdom lead the way. I don’t believe there’s something wrong with you, rather, what happened to you.
I help self-aware overthinkers break free from old patterns and learn to trust themselves more deeply. My clients are often insightful, motivated, and may have been in therapy before, but still find themselves stuck in cycles of overwhelm, self-doubt, people-pleasing, and overthinking. Through our work, you'll learn to trust your own voice, show up authentically in your relationships, and finally feel at home — koselig — in your own skin. Many of my clients grew up in homes where their physical needs were met, but their emotional experiences were minimized, dismissed, or misunderstood. As a result, they learned that their feelings were "too much" and became disconnected from their own emotional world. As adults, they often struggle with anxiety, rumination, self-trust, and maintaining healthy, authentic relationships. They may appear capable and self-aware on the outside while feeling disconnected from themselves on the inside. I believe many of the patterns that once helped you survive are now keeping you from fully being yourself. Rather than judging or fighting those patterns, we'll approach them with curiosity and compassion, helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been buried beneath fear, doubt, and old expectations. You don't need to keep abandoning yourself to belong. I'd love to journey alongside you as you come home to who you've been all along— and feel confident, connected, and koselig in your own skin.
How are you doing right now? And what do you need? Maybe you know exactly; maybe you need some help to figure that out as you adjust to college life or deal with other stressors you might be experiencing right now. Either way, I really want to acknowledge your courage in seeking support. I offer a compassionate space to work through anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, grief, trauma, and relationship issues, to transition through stages of life, or to make meaning out of tough things you have been through along the way. Services are available to anyone in Colorado. And, as a longtime climber and backcountry splitboarder, I also offer empathetic support for the unique needs of the mountain sports, outdoor recreation, and SAR communities. In our sessions, my role will be to help you identify and soothe underlying emotional wounding beneath problematic coping mechanisms that can form due to painful experiences, relationship difficulties, or other trauma. For relationships, I serve as a guide to help partners build trust and understanding by learning how to feel more secure with one another. Depending on your needs, we can use elements of traditional talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, nature-based methods, CBT, and more. I offer a balance of supportive listening, gentle challenging, and tools for managing difficult feelings. And, throughout our work together, I will always invite you to collaborate on goals, methods we use, and next steps. TO SCHEDULE A FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION... If it seems like I could be a fit for you, send me an email or leave me a voicemail with your name, number, a little bit about the support you might be seeking, and some times you might be available. And, I'll get back to you to set up a time to chat soon.

Welcome To Our Group Practice A message from the Founder and Clinical Director: I want you to know how excited I am to meet you. I light up when I think about ways I can support you and be a part of ushering human beings into a new world. I feel hopeful when I see the work of Brene Brown, HeatherAsh Amara, Tara Brach and many others like them who are doing work on a large scale to help us move out of the old paradigm of living from the head- comparison, acquisition, power at all costs, being the smartest person in the room, and fierce independence. We are evolving into heart-centered living- which is practicing empathy, compassion, acceptance, cooperation, openness, interdependence and curiosity. This is how I want to live, do you? I believe it is possible and heart-centered living starts with healing past wounds and freeing up our energy to take responsibility for our lives. I was a kid who had a lot of energy. I loved doing cartwheels in the grass, voraciously reading every single one of the books in the Babysitters Club series and climbing the weeping willow trees that grew near my house. I've always loved exploring, learning, and moving my body. Now, I use that energy to climb rock walls, hike mountains, and enthusiastically lead therapists in our thriving private practice while facilitating a kick-ass women's empowerment program. I get energized when I feel into how much healing we get to do together. I have discovered my gifts of curiosity, intuition, and a natural tendency to care about and hold compassionate space for others. I channel this into my work with individual clients, workshops that I facilitate, and the mentorship and training that I offer to the therapists who work with me at Insight. I want you to feel excitement about your life and journey towards bringing your gifts forth. We can help you discover who you are under the layers of self-protection, survival mode, and numbing the overwhelm. The first steps toward this is saying yes to yourself, beginning your healing, and trusting the process. Our group practice offers so many avenues for growth. We have specialties in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, group work and workshops, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Existential Therapy, and more. Explore our website to see what speaks to you and reach out to our Client Care Coordinator. She can determine who and what will be the best fit for your goals. If you feel a YES rising in you, if you want to live more from your HEART and SOUL- then give us a call and schedule your first appointment or join our next workshop. You are worth it. You matter. Take the leap! With Love, Respect, and Hope, Bethany

College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to new responsibilities and life transitions, you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with female college students and young adults who want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and feel more confident managing life's challenges.
