Jennifer Chase Finch is dedicated to resolving trauma through somatic treatment modalities, meditation, contemplative and integrative sciences. She was a practicing licensed professional therapist for almost two decades prior to founding Be Here Now Mindfulness, LLC. In addition to her private practice, she offers online and in-person mindfulness trainings to individuals, health care practitioners and corporate settings. Her great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through trauma with a Capital “T” or a lower case “t,” so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe individuals and they can thrive and flourish in the world in the way they were intended. She earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Addictionology from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has extensive training in crisis counseling, addictions, attachment disorders, meditation and trauma-based therapy. In 2013, she began incorporating meditation, mindfulness, somatic meditation and compassion treatment modalities as her therapy of choice. She is a graduate of the CBCT (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training®) and is now a Certified CBCT instructor through Emory University's Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion Based Ethics. She is currently enrolled in a 3-year intensive Somatic Experiencing® (SE) certification program, and is a Level I SE Practitioner. The Somatic Experiencing method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.

I’m Jennifer and I’m excited you found my page. I love working with young adults to find their passion in life, remove blocks that are keeping them from being their true authentic selves, and learn to live a life they have always dreamed of. I practice therapy in Midtown, however, due to Covid, I currently am only offering therapy online. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified in Clinical Anxiety Treatment, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have 18 years of diverse experience as a School Social Worker in K-12, an Academic Coach in Higher Ed, and as a Therapist in my own Private Practice. I absolutely love what I do. I’ve worked with young adults starting college or somewhere within their college career seeking to achieve academic success, but suffering from anxiety, overwhelm, and perfectionism. I totally understand, college was supposed to be the best time of your life….but it got really challenging. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed with the pressures of living on your own, academic pressures, loneliness, or just feel weighed down by the feelings of anxiety...come talk to me. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build a healthy work-life-school-balance. I utilize a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, stress management, increasing self-worth, incorporation of meditation, mind/body connection, holistic healing, mood management, anxiety reduction, and self-empowerment. I believe in the power of the mind, body, and soul. I love being outdoors on mother earth and meditating daily. I am a vegetarian and love eating foods that nourish and heal my body from the inside out. Nobody ever said therapy was easy, however, I am a firm believer in “relationships”, so the connection with the right therapist is important. Call me!! Let's see if we are a great fit. Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 11 years of experience in outpatient mental health, crisis response, and program management. I specialize in providing individual, group, couples, and family counseling, integrating evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approaches. I have extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting comprehensive assessments, and coordinating care across community and clinical settings. Recognized for improving client outcomes and building strong partnerships, I am committed to expanding access to quality mental health services and supporting diverse populations with compassion and expertise. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions to learn about your concerns, history, and goals for therapy, and I’ll also give you space to share what feels most important to you. Together, we’ll begin to create a plan that feels manageable and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead. One of my greatest strengths is my integrative approach—I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness while tailoring each session to fit the unique needs of my clients. I’m skilled at creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood, while also helping them develop practical tools they can use in daily life. Clients often share that my balance of compassion, encouragement, and direct guidance helps them make meaningful progress and lasting change.
I see a whole host of issues in my practice, however I specialize in trauma--whether that is childhood sexual abuse, current sexual assault, chronic trauma that occurred throughout your life (i.e. neglect, chaotic upbringing, etc), or one time events (natural disaster, accidents, deaths). Trauma often leads to a host of other issues, that I also work well with in my practice. Some of the issues I see alongside trauma include anxiety and depression, life transitions, relational conflict, process addictions (such as eating disorders, sex or gaming addiction), substance abuse, or family of origin issues.
In my over ten years of experience, I have worked with a myriad of conditions. The most common issues that I see are anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, women’s issues, substance abuse, stress, self-esteem, and relationship problems. I am a compassionate, non-judgemental therapist. Typically, I use a mix of cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy techniques with clients. I believe that your brain is a muscle, and with enough work you can train your brain. Together we will explore the thoughts and behaviors that keep you feeling trapped. When you work on changing your thoughts and cognitions, your behavior can change. This in turn, can change your life. I strongly believe in continuing education and learning something new each day. Some of the specific areas that I have much expertise, education, and research in are: -Anxiety in college -Wellness and health counseling -Eating Disorders and Athletes -Stress overload in teens and young adults -Women’s Issues I love working with people who are not afraid to be challenged and those who are motivated to make a lasting change in their life. As far as age populations go, I can work with any age, but work best with those aged over 14 years old. I believe that each person has the power to have control in their life. My hope is for you to leave my office feeling inspired and empowered.

I meet you where you are in life, and I provide integrative therapy specific to your therapeutic needs. Whatever you bring into therapy- pain, trauma, and/or the need for daily life maintenance- I am here to walk with you and discover the necessary tools needed to move through it. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. During our sessions together, I will support you in exploring the many parts of you and how they came to be. I will work with you to identify the negative messages connected to these parts of you. We will form a relationship with these parts and create a safe place for all of you to be seen, heard, and understood. In this safe place, you will heal yourself. Developing my own internal resources has helped me to move through some very difficult times as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Using evidence based research, I provide care that values every part of you and respects where you came from. In those moments of pain and struggle and self-discovery, I will help you to choose yourself. I seek to create a safe and inclusive space for black-bodied individuals, first generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, survivors of trauma, sex workers, and clients who are struggling with relationship and intimacy issues. My approach to mental health care is rooted in anti-oppressive and decolonizing frameworks. The treatment modalities that I use have been found to be effective across many cultures, ages, genders, and experiences. I am here to support my clients in rediscovering themselves, strengthening their mind-body connection, and living the life they have always wanted.
