We offer mental health services and support using Relational Cultural Therapy. "Relational-Cultural work is not about changing people to fit into dysfunctional cultural conditions, but empowering them to heal in connection, and in turn, to heal others in connection. A part of growth in connection often spills into participating in social change, through creating alliances or communities that are built around relational values." –Judith V. Jordan, Relational-Cultural Therapy. Our practice is gender affirming, intersectional, anti-racist, and diverse.

It doesn’t have to feel like this, and I can help you feel better through therapy. Good therapy can help us feel less like a failure and find more success in life. Changing the way we think can change the way we feel and dealing with trauma can help it feel less awful. Therapy can help us be a better partner, friend, or parent. Whether you’re reading this for yourself, for your family, or as a couple we can help you make things better. You'll feel safe and connected while you process the past so life becomes easier and more enjoyable. I'm so glad you're here! A little about me: I’ve been working in the mental health field since earning my Masters of Science in Social Work degree with a specialization in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from the University of Louisville in 2011. Over the years, I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting adults through challenges with mental health and substance use. Those experiences have given me the privilege of walking alongside people in some of the hardest and most transformative moments of their lives. I especially enjoy working with adults navigating life transitions, whether that’s beginning college, relationship challenges, big life changes like marriage or divorce, experiencing grief or loss, changing careers, experiencing family stress, or facing other big shifts. I have a special passion for supporting people with personality disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, and substance use challenges. I also offer a safe place for LGBTQ+ individuals. My background in crisis work means I’m comfortable meeting you exactly where you are, even if life feels overwhelming right now. My style is conversational, open, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy is a partnership. I’ll bring tools, strategies, and perspective, and you’ll bring your lived experience and goals. Together, we’ll work on building coping skills, practicing mindfulness, learning emotional regulation, and finding new ways of seeing and responding to life’s challenges. You've taken the first step. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to partner with you to create a plan that feels doable and supportive, so you can move toward the balance, healing, and growth you deserve. I appreciate the courage it takes to reach out for help, as living a balanced life requires intentionality and action. I would love to help you move forward from here!

I am a solution focused therapist with 6 years of experience working with individuals and families to help them reach their goals. I get to know my clients and incorporate meaningful activities into our therapeutic sessions to help them work through the issues that are causing them disruption in their lives. I know that life can be difficult due to many different issues. Whatever the issue is, I am happy to work with clients to help them figure out how to overcome it. My primary objective is to help clients remove barriers to personal success and take steps toward autonomy through the promotion of mental health. I am able to provide this service in both English and Spanish. In addition to being a bilingual mental health therapist, I am a seasoned educator with 13 years of classroom teaching experience. Over the years, I have gained beneficial experience that has helped form my counseling philosophy that we all have room to grow. Lao Tzu said it best when he coined the phrase, "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." We are all on a journey in this life and start at different places along the path. It doesn't matter where any one of us starts, it just matters that we take that first step and keep on going.
I am a seasoned clinical psychologist who is passionate about helping others be happier and live a better life . I work with individuals and couples at my practice in downtown Evansville. I have been in private practice for over 5 years after earning my PsyD from Yeshiva University in New York City. I incorporate a variety of techniques depending on my client's individual needs. These include DBT skills, mindfulness based interventions, and trauma informed treatment. I am committed to working with culturally diverse people from every walk of life and strive to create an open and affirmative space for all. I particularly enjoy working with young adults, adults, and youths. We each come to therapy searching for things to change, understanding, and symptoms relief. During our initial session, you can expect me to take time to get to know you, and provide feedback that you can apply to yourself and others in everyday interactions. We will look at your thoughts, feelings, and reactions that arise in therapy in order to work directly in the present moment. Whether you're looking extra support during a challenging situation, or you simply want to change direction in your life, I look forward to us establishing a collaborative relationship, It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Therefore, beyond the work you do in therapy sessions, your therapist may suggest some things you can do outside of therapy to support your process - such as reading a pertinent book, journaling on specific topics, noting particular behaviors or taking action on your goals. People seeking psychotherapy are ready to make positive changes in their lives, are open to new perspectives and take responsibility for their lives. Do you take insurance, and how does that work?
