Therapists for college students near 02155
My work is relationally based, and I additionally integrate the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both mind/body modalities. These approaches have been transformational for myself and many clients I have witnessed because they offer an orientation of radical openness and compassionate inquiry about all parts of your experience.

Hi there! My name is Julie (she/her), and I am a therapist with a clinical social work background. I work with folks who have a variety of concerns. Recently, I've had several college students who want to work through depression or anxiety while they figure out various paths they are struggling with. Together, we discuss various tools to help manage stressors and feelings.
Are you suffering with anxiety, stress, problems with a relationship, mood disorder, medical issues, or difficulties adjusting to life changes? I will work collaboratively with you, teaching new tools to help manage and decrease symptoms and improve your well being. Finding a therapist can take time as it is a very personal process. It is important to get a sense that we could work well together. I encourage you to contact me if you are interested in learning more about my practice. As former Director of Behavioral Medicine at Mass General North, Children's Hospital in Salem, MA, I have over 20 years working with problems such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress related problems (including GI distress and headaches), self-injurious behavior, and anxiety. I specialize in treating young adults with these issues. I am well trained in effective techniques (tools) from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness based therapies, dialectial behavior therapy (DBT), yoga therapy, and relaxation training to create a fluid treatment that is tailored to the individual(s). Hello! I am currently accepting new patients. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Colorado. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. This is a judgement free zone. There is no way you can TMI me! My primary role in our sessions is diagnosis, evaluation and medication management. The role I have in therapy is very small. Most clients are already in therapy or have been referred by therapists to me. All sessions are conducted by tele-medicine. **Offering flexible hours, evening appointments available, also some weekends. **
Hello! I have been fortunate to have worked with a diverse array of client populations throughout my career, but currently specialize in and am passionate about working with college students, young adults, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC women. My clinical areas of specialty and expertise include anxiety, depression, ADHD, family dynamics, social/relationship challenges, and academic and life transitions.
My early career in the NICU as a registered nurse shaped my understanding of trauma, stress, and the long-term psychological impact of medical and life events on patients and families. This led me to pursue specialized training in psychiatric mental health, with a focus on supporting women, trauma-related conditions, and mood and anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and complex mood disorders. Throughout my practice, I've developed a strong focus and success in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I'm also deeply passionate about women’s mental health, helping patients navigate unique life transitions, hormonal shifts, and the intersecting challenges that impact women's well-being. My approach is centered on empowering patients with practical tools and compassionate insights to foster resilience and meaningful growth. My therapeutic framework is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), allowing me to provide patients with concrete, evidence-based tools to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and executive dysfunction. In addition to CBT, I draw from a wide range of therapeutic modalities to ensure care is collaborative and dynamic. Recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique, I take an integrative and whole-body approach to care. By blending evidence-based modalities like CBT with other person-centered techniques, I'm able to tailor my therapeutic style to match each person's specific goals, strengths, and lifestyle. My hope for every patient is that you feel deeply heard, validated, and empowered in your care. In our sessions, you aren't just a diagnosis; you're a whole person. Together, we'll combine advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate, tailored approach to help you achieve lasting wellness and peace of mind. My hope for you is not just symptom management, but true flourishing. I'm most passionate about the transformative healing journey that begins when a patient feels fully heard and understood. My clinical approach is rooted in exploring a person's complete history and past traumas to understand the 'why' behind their current challenges. By getting to the root of these issues, I'm able to provide targeted care. I find it incredibly rewarding to guide patients through this comprehensive healing process, partnering with them to build a foundation for long-term peace and wellness.
