If you’ve spent years feeling different, overwhelmed, exhausted from masking, or wondering why life feels harder than it seems for others, you’re not alone. I specialize in adult ADHD and autism evaluations for neurodivergent adults (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD), especially those identified later in life. My affirming, collaborative evaluation process helps you better understand lifelong patterns related to executive functioning, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, burnout, and relationships. I also provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults seeking support, clarity, and self-understanding. Visit ashiftinfocus for more. We don’t need fixing- even if it feels like that. Therapy is a space to explore both the struggles and the beauty of being neurodivergent, with self-compassion, nervous system support, and real-world strategies. I also offer separate adult ADHD and autism evaluation services for those seeking diagnostic clarity. If life feels harder than it should, you’re not alone & you’re not broken. Many ND adults seek support after years of pushing through, masking and wondering why nothing ever quite fits. Support can help you understand yourself differently and move forward with less shame and more ease.

College is an exciting time though it can be an overwhelming one as well. College comes with its own unique set of challenges - increased workload, the need for greater time management, increased independence, and trying to find a good work-life balance, to name a few. College life can bring on new anxiety or exacerbate pre-existing anxiety, and managing this and coping in healthy and effective ways can prove difficult at times. Anxiety and stress can also trigger new or worsen pre-existing Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), like excoriation disorder (skin picking) and trichotillomania (hair pulling). If you are a female student struggling with anxiety and need help managing it, and/or are having a difficult time with BFRBs, I would love to work with you. Together we will work on identifying stressors/triggers as well as strategies and skills you can use to better manage your anxiety and/or your BFRB. I look forward to meeting you!

I enjoy helping to support people as they navigate through the many different waves of life. I help to create a warm, non judgmental, and supportive environment where clients are free to talk about their stories. I draw from a number of different treatment modalities, but most importantly, meet the client where they are at. While each individual's experience is unique, I regularly work with clients around topics related to anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, relationship concerns, sexuality, ADHD, life's transitions, familial conflict and many more. In this busy world, it can be difficult to make time to focus on your needs. Therapy provides a space to do so and share your story in a safe and non judgmental environment. Sessions are a time to practice self care, utilize your strengths, and develop tools that help you gain a better understanding of you. I would love to have the chance to work with you and hear your story. Currently, sessions are teletherapy based allowing you more flexibility to be in a familiar setting and join from any mobile or desktop device. I would love to help you with the process of learning more about you and develop the tools to navigate the many waves of life.

College can come with a lot of pressure - school, relationships, family expectations, and trying to figure out who you are becoming. Many of the college students and young adults I work with feel anxious, burnt out, stuck in overthinking, disconnected from themselves, or are navigating the impact of past trauma while doing their best to manage daily responsibilities. Hi, my name is Jasmin Mantilla Carrillo and I am a Master of Social Work clinical intern at Intrinsic Bloom Therapy. I enjoy working with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, stress, and trauma. In our work together, we can explore what is coming up for you right now while building practical tools to help you manage stress, regulate emotions, and feel more grounded in your day to day life. Person Centered Therapy provides individual, family, and couples therapy to treat a multitude of mental health conditions. I particularly enjoy working with college students and young adults to guide them through career and life transitions as well as helping them to overcome limiting beliefs so they can thrive. I have over 27 years of experience in helping clients overcome anxiety, depression, anger, trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, stress, self-esteem, gender identity, phobias, and other issues which once prevented them from accomplishing their goals and making the important changes they wanted in life. Clients can expect “person centered” therapy which means the focus is on each person’s own unique insights and experiences. This empowers our clients to take a lead role in their therapy which offers them autonomy, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and help to reach their full potential to live a fulfilling life. We offer a safe and supportive environment so clients not only receive encouragement, but also feel comfortable being fully involved in sharing their thoughts and experiences. Such a supportive approach encourages clients to explore their own insights, find solutions, and take a very active role in their therapy. This method also promotes self-awareness, personal growth, autonomy and empowerment plus helps to develop healthy and effective coping strategies to improve emotional well-being and functioning across all areas.
