Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, upsetting intrusive thoughts, or past emotional wounds that continue to affect their relationships, confidence, and sense of safety. They are ready for relief, connection, and to feel more in control of their lives. I help clients by providing specialized treatments for anxiety conditions, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), perfectionism, and the deep echoes of trauma—from relational and intergenerational wounds to betrayal trauma. I believe therapy can help us grow, even through deep pain. My role is to help you approach yourself with curiosity and compassion while guiding you toward healing and meaningful change. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based mental health care. My professional approach is rooted in a holistic, patient-centered model that respects your individual needs, experiences, and cultural background. I believe every patient is different, which is why I curate individualized care plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination of these approaches. My goal is to promote healing, recovery, and overall well-being while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Thomas University and bring extensive knowledge and expertise in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating a wide range of mental health conditions. By combining clinical knowledge, patient advocacy, and the adaptability of telemedicine, I ensure that my practice continually evolves with the most up-to-date psychiatric nursing standards. The process begins with an initial consultation where we review your history, current symptoms, and overall wellness. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan together, adjusting as needed through ongoing communication. I invite you to book your appointment today so we can begin working toward lasting progress and meaningful change.

Currently accepting new clients for medication management -(August 2026)- I'm Dan, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I work with an array of individuals who are looking to gain control over their mental health and wellness from ages 6 to 64. LGBTQIA+ affirming. I have experience with many diagnoses and specialize in depression, anxiety, and ADHD among adolescents, college-age, and young adults— but I am glad to partner with anyone willing to strive for a happier, healthier future!
Some clients arrive feeling the weight of their anxiety. Others are in the middle of a transition—navigating changes in relationships, family dynamics, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or ongoing health condition. These transition moments can bring a level of uncertainty that’s hard to tolerate and often lead to second-guessing, especially when your body or health begins to feel unpredictable or outside of your control. I also work with individuals who experience intrusive thoughts or feel caught in patterns meant to prevent something bad from happening. These thoughts can feel unsettling or even at odds with who you are—making them confusing, distressing, and difficult to talk about. For some, these experiences are connected to obsessive-compulsive patterns (often referred to as OCD), even if that’s not a term you’ve used for yourself before. There are effective, evidence-based ways to work with OCD patterns, and we can talk through what that might look like for you. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. You should want to talk to your therapist, and from the very beginning, I focus on creating a space where you can talk openly about what’s actually on your mind. The relationship between therapist and client matters deeply. Meaningful change tends to happen when people feel understood, respected, and able to show up honestly— even when what they’re bringing to session feels messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and no single approach works for every person or every situation. I draw from a range of approaches and tailor the work to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. Depending on what feels most helpful, this might include building a clearer understanding of the patterns you’re caught in, exploring where those patterns come from, or finding new ways to respond to them. Across all of this, my focus is on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck so they begin to have less of a hold on you over time.

Guiding You to Understand the Foundation of Your Life Like physical health and fitness, each human being is living at a level of mental health and fitness. The level of mental health a person is able to live in regardless demographics including age is unlimited. The greater the level of mental health cultivated inside, the more natural it is to experience resilience, presence, connection, clarity, love, peace, respect, trust, inside regardless the live event. Nature designed our operating system inside: "We are built to heal, love, respect, connect, resolve, be prosperous in right ways, optimal ways...when we cultivate next levels of mental health...self-awareness...psychological fitness inside." Cultivating greater levels of mental health inside becomes choosing, understanding, responding from, for example, innate wisdom in live time, an ultimate, yet essential psychological capability inside. It has often been dismissed, ignored or dormant due to a lower level of psychological awareness inside: that it exists inside, what it is, how to access it and why to access it. It is also upgrading essential awareness inside with navigating: relationships, biological health challenges, sudden unexpected and expected life transitions such as death of a loved one, divorce or marriage, moods, finances and career challenges. Finally, it is healing the source of trauma inside and upgrading awareness with work performance, academic performance, mistakes and set-backs. I also have a great deal of knowledge about the Mind-Body connection pertaining to mental health based on leading-edge facts. Currently, mental health services are provided through Telehealth. When participating in Telehealth services, please have a physical space which allows for privacy consistently throughout an appointment. Please visit mindthoughtconsciousness.com. Read pages, watch videos and listen to your gut to discern whether this counseling approach is the right approach for your mental health counseling. Wishing you the best with completing next steps to cultivate and experience greater levels of mental health inside.
Whether you’re seeking a therapist for the first time or looking for a new connection, choosing the right provider can be an intimidating process. Often times the most important factor in therapy is how you feel talking to and sitting with the psychotherapist you select. I treat a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. I am a trauma specialist, and I have a particular focus in attachment trauma, narcissistic abuse, estrangement, toxic family stress, codependency, disordered eating, and complex ptsd. I practice from a relational framework, which is able to uniquely address the nature of these harms and the deeply felt needs of many clients. Working with me will look very different from a cookie cutter therapy response. Instead, you’ll find sitting with me includes personal reflection, humor, emotion and science based care. I am located in Medford off High St and nearby the library. Convenient to Winchester, Arlington, Somerville and Cambridge.
I’m passionate about helping individuals create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Utah, I’m currently completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons University. I work under the guidance of Sarah Murphy, an experienced counselor, to provide compassionate and effective support to my clients. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing Depression, Anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I also have a strong interest in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and challenges. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process, and my goal is to help you develop the tools you need to navigate life’s difficulties, improve your mental well-being, and build a life that feels true to you. If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey toward healing and growth, I would love to work with you!

Hi, my name is Jenny Rivillas-O'Neill. I am a firm believer in a multidimensional approach to care in order to achieve sustained wellness. My framework incorporates the understanding that we may all experience periods where life management skills alone are insufficient, and thoughtful medication supplementation can be therapeutic in achieving balance and wellness. Through direct care experience, my knowledge, motivation, and passion for assisting people seeking wellness have grown exponentially. My experience includes PMHNP Residency training in the VA Boston Healthcare System, Inpatient Nursing Director at BIDMC, and currently in the last year of a Doctoral program at Yale concentrating on adverse childhood and community experiences and finding pathways toward healing.
Suffering is a part of being human—whether it's grief, trauma, stress, or the quiet ache of loneliness. While we can’t always avoid pain, we can choose not to face it alone. I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work through life’s challenges together. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, where I completed the Child & Family Mental Health and Wellness Concentration. As someone who was raised in a different culture and now practices in the U.S. as an international therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy that values and integrates diverse worldviews. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from age 5 to 80—and my areas of focus include ADHD, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. I’m here to walk beside you—at your pace, on your terms.
