Many of the people I work with identify as high-achievers who have “taken all the right steps”, yet are still feeling anxious or uncertain. On paper, they are doing great and seem to have it all together, but inside they’re struggling with feelings of imposter syndrome or like they don’t know if they’re on the right path. I'm here to help you gain the tools and skills necessary to thrive in the face of challenges. Together, we will identify your goals and work collaboratively with an individualized and strengths-based approach. Shannon Albarelli, Psy.D is a clinical psychologist and certified mindfulness and meditation instructor who helps individuals and organizations move through their greatest challenges to achieve calm, focus and well-being. Dr. Bridget Nestor (she/her) is a supportive and encouraging psychologist who works collaboratively with her clients to identify goals and make steps toward change. She aims to meet clients where they are at, understand the nuance of their individual experiences, and build off their strengths to help them achieve their goals. Drawing on the tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dr. Nestor takes an evidence-based, client-centered approach to therapy to foster coping skills and promote individual flourishing. Dr. Nestor provides individual therapy for older adolescents and young adults with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, executive dysfunction, social difficulties, stress, chronic pain, grief, and challenges related to life transitions. She is also trained in neuropsychological evaluations to assess attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other executive functioning difficulties.

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 12 years of experience. Particular interests of mine include working with anxiety and mood disorders. I provide a thoughtful evaluation of your condition and on-going medication management. We will work together to find the lowest dose of effective medications that will reduce your suffering and minimize side effects. I accept BCBS and Optum insurance products and am doing exclusively telehealth appointments at this time.

I collaborate with adults as they heal from trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, other mood issues, or any number of matters leaving them feeling somehow ineffective. As a clinician for over nineteen years, I will join with you to identify and transform painful obstacles, arising from past and/or present challenges, which hinder you from making healthy changes. Drawing especially from Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we will journey together to access your core nature, the Self, more spontaneously. This leads to clarity and calm over internal and external challenges you face, resulting in heightened creativity and effectiveness with problem solving, relationship building, and goal attainment. I believe you possess all necessary strengths and pathways to answers for improving your life, but may be having difficulty accessing them at present. I welcome individuals who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, including those questioning or seeking help adjusting to leading more open, fulfilled lives with however they identify themselves. The IFS model utilizes a non-pathologizing, mind-body focus. Drawing from the natural strengths existing within each of us, IFS and EMDR guide a person into taking the lead in one's own healing process, no matter how traumatic a background one may have lived through. On 5/4/14, I completed the Level 2 IFS training. On 3/12/17, I completed the basic EMDR training. I accept these insurances: BCBS and Medicare.
As a licensed psychologist, I have over 20 years of experience counseling undergraduate, graduate students and adults. Generally, the clients who come to see me are overwhelmed, depressed or anxious. My psychologist licenses include Florida and Massachusetts. My education, training and experience includes working with diverse cultures, races, sexualities and traditional/non-traditional religions. Short term treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, is usually recommended. There are other options, including psychodynamic therapy (long term). There is a RTS stop in front of the office. My practice is located near Ward's supermarket and behind Chipotle on 13th St/Rt 441. I am a provider for some Massachusetts private insurances. If you have an insurance that I do not accept, then there are alternatives, for example a sliding scale option. On a more personal side, I am open minded with a sense of humor and a predisposition towards quality care. My clients tend to share motivation, determination and they work collaboratively.

Shoreline Wellness Center places a focus on talk therapy (psychotherapy) to help patients better manage the stress they encounter in their daily life. Working with a therapist has many benefits, such as coping with feelings, facing and solving problems, or changing behavioral patterns that are leading to some of your symptoms. In therapy, we don’t just talk about problems. The main goal is to develop a reasonable and doable solution. Sometimes you may have “homework” to complete for your therapist. This may include something like tracking your moods throughout the day, journaling about your thoughts, going out of your way to be social, or joining in activities that caused you to feel anxious in the past. Your therapist may even suggest for you to try to look at things differently or to learn new skills to use in your everyday life. Therapy focuses on current and past thoughts, feelings, and issues. Both are important, as they may very well be connected in some way. Discussing your challenges and having an open dialogue is the key to finding the solution to help your present and prepare for your future.
