We will work together to define your dreams, hopes, and desires and establish a plan to help you achieve your goals. You will come to live a life of freedom and empowerment. Many come seeking guidance when struggling with grief, sadness, loss, parenting issues, eating disorders, relationships, coming out and transitioning, ACOA issues, career and job transition, and many other issues. I also provide surgical consultations and letters for gender affirming surgeries.
We all encounter difficult stressors, setbacks and experiences that sometimes cause us pain. We may be challenged by our relationships, previous trauma, difficult transitions, depression or anxiety. We can make the choice to work through these events and grow even when things are hard and confusing. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to explore your struggles, and give you objective feedback and guidance to help you improve your life. Whether you'd like to improve your mood, strengthen relationships or need support coping with a difficult circumstance I can help. Clinically, clients and I collaborate to reinforce adaptive behaviors, and understand your unique strengths so that you may live a meaningful and satisfying life. In therapy, we focus on both problem-solving difficult situations, as well as developing an understanding of long-term patterns that contribute to your distress.
I am currently accepting new clients! If you are looking for support during this time of your life, you have come to the right place. Everyone's journey is different and progress is a winding road. All I ask from my clients is that they come willing to improve their relationship with themselves, and I am here to walk alongside them for the rest. Working with me is a journey of reflection and skill-building. My clients are a diverse bunch of adults, who may be here to work through depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Before we begin working together, I offer a free 30-minute consultation to ensure we are the right fit for your needs and goals.
Navigating life changes, especially when things don’t go as planned, can be overwhelming and traumatic. I specialize in working with adults who are going through significant life events and coping with the anxiety, loneliness, and self-doubt that can come along with them. Through a relational and strengths-based lens, I help my clients work through challenging or traumatic moments from their past that are holding them back from fully embracing the present. College students experience a unique type of stress - from adjusting to a new environment, to figuring out who you are, and balancing relationships with people at school and at home. If you find yourself over-thinking, worrying non-stop, or feeling uninterested in things you used to enjoy, therapy can help. With a fresh perspective, you'll gain strength and coping mechanisms to overcome what's preventing you from living a life you love. My hope is that my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. You are the expert in your own experiences, and it’s my job to walk alongside you as a compassionate witness. Together, we’ll collaborate to identify goals that are aligned with your core values, and implement a plan to help you nurture your authentic self.

The years surrounding college --young adulthood--is a time filled with amazing exploration as well as stress, sadness, and a lot of unknowns. We really begin to learn not just about who we have been to others, but about who we can become. Working with a therapist can offer a way to explore some of these feelings and experiences with someone who has first hand understanding of being a youg adult (we all were at one time!), who wants to get to know who you are becoming and help you find a way to get there with a sense of power and voice. Life can be awesome but it can also be scary and hard sometimes and no-one has to do this alone!
We know it can be tough making the first step to find support. Our practice specializes in working with LGBTQ folks, including those in non-monogamous relationships and people living with HIV/AIDS. We work collaboratively with our clients on identifying changes they want to see in their lives and taking steps towards those changes. Do you find you struggle with self confidence? Do you often feel dysphoric about your gender? Our team can help.

I offer IFS and EMDR therapy to empathetic, high-achieving women who struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, emotionally immature relationships, and cycles of trauma. My clients often find me when they can no longer manage the burden alone. They feel stuck in hurtful relationships, they lack trust in themselves, and they feel shame even when they know it’s not their fault. You deserve peace. My goal is to help you feel deeply connected to your values and intuition so you can break free from the cycles you’ve been stuck in and thrive as the most authentic version of yourself.

Welcome. My name is Kate, and I offer psychodynamically oriented, trauma-informed, compassionate, and affirming therapy to folks of all kinds. I work with people across the lifespan, many of whom identify as queer and/or neurodivergent and are trying to make sense of a world that can feel overwhelming. Some are living with long-term stress, trauma, anxiety, or depression, while others are seeking support with life transitions, relationships, or family dynamics. I also offer clinical supervision. Clients often value working with me when they feel ready to explore their inner world more deeply—to better understand the hopes and fears beneath relational and behavioral patterns that increase suffering. I also regularly offer skills-based techniques, drawing from DBT, to help with in-the-moment management of distress and emotional overwhelm. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to a successful experience. My hope is to provide every client with a safe, supportive space to explore, learn more about themselves, feel truly seen, heard and accepted, build new skills, grow, and reconnect with who they really are. I look forward to connecting with you.

I am a psychotherapist with more than 20 years of clinical, teaching and research experience. I work with individuals experiencing an array of circumstances and challenges. One of my specialties is counseling people with a focus on those in high-risk professions (e.g., law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, military) and their loved ones. I also work with a broad range of individuals employed in other “helping professions” (e.g., medical and mental healthcare providers, veterinary medicine professionals, educators, prosecutors, clergy) whose careers may have been negatively impacted by job and/or personal circumstances. I work with many other types of clients. My easy-going manner and collaborative style help clients develop effective strategies to enable you to better cope with, or to resolve challenges and issues, which adversely affect well-being and quality of life; depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, addiction, grief/loss, trauma, medical problems etc. The blending of my academic training, life experiences, accumulated clinical skills, and my “ability to be real with clients” combine to put my clients at ease and guide them in successfully navigating life’s challenges.
