Virtual Therapy for students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, international students, third-culture kids, and anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t fully belong. On the outside, you might look like you’ve got it together. Inside, it feels different: - Racing thoughts that won’t stop - Tension in your body and exhaustion you can’t shake - Sleep struggles—restless nights or oversleeping to escape - Eating out of sync—skipping meals, stress eating, or feeling disconnected from hunger cues - Mood swings, irritability, or emotional flatness - School, friendships, romantic relationships, and even self-care feel overwhelming - Isolating when you actually crave connection ✨ This isn’t just “stress.” Often, it’s unprocessed trauma—from childhood, cultural pressure, identity struggles, or painful past experiences—that quietly fuels anxiety, depression, and feeling stuck. My approach: - Not quick fixes or endless coping skills - Trauma-informed and holistic therapy - Tools like Brainspotting + somatic therapy to help your nervous system heal, not just your thoughts - A space to uncover the root of what’s keeping you stuck and move toward lasting change What you can expect: - Feeling more grounded, present, and connected—to yourself, your community, and your future - Support from someone who gets it: as an Asian clinician and former international student, I understand the challenges of navigating multiple cultures and expectations - A space where you don’t have to over-explain—you can show up fully, take up space, and finally feel seen

Life is all about relationships, whether it's with yourself, your partner(s), co-workers, family, or friends. Every interaction matters. How you react, communicate, and understand yourself, shapes the way you experience the world. No one really teaches us how to thrive in relationships. I offer a space where you can break out of old patterns, gain clarity, and make meaningful progress in your life and relationships. I work with individuals and couples who are motivated to do the work and embrace change. If you are ready to invest in yourself, I am currently accepting new clients via telehealth.

Whatever it is that has brought you here, welcome! I work with folks facing a range of issues, with a specialty in trauma, anxiety, family conflict, LGBTQIA+ identity, and relationship issues. If you experience stress from caring for/about others and our environment, I am ready to support you. I am a climate-aware therapist, meaning I recognize climate grief and eco-anxiety as legitimate responses to a global crisis and important areas of attention in therapy to help you better navigate our changing world. In therapy, I attend to ways in which the ideas, actions and policies in our communities, cultures and families can be sources of both pain and resilience. I am committed to providing queer- and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and I believe in the collaborative exploration of all intersections of identity that feel important to you. My experience informs my work. My career in international humanitarian aid and gender-based violence lends a unique perspective to trauma-informed care. Trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I bring neuroscience and the mind-body connection into therapy. Our work will explore how the body holds past experiences and how it can help you heal. I also support people in therapeutically integrating psychedelic experiences. I look forward to getting started!

My degree is from Northeastern University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became Licensed in 1996. Most recently, I was the Director of Psychology for Wrentham Developmental Center and an Area Psychologist for the Department of Developmental Services. Previously, I had my own private practice where I facilitated numerous social groups, provided individual and family therapy, and served as a Consultant to Cranston ARC, and Bristol Community College. In joining Needham Psychotherapy Associates, I am returning to my passion for clinical work. My approach would be considered eclectic, involving systems work, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, and psychodynamic or insight-oriented work. In my view, the modality of therapy is often determined by the issues that one presents with as well as the style and comfort level of both the therapist and the client. It is important to me that the process of therapy is collaborative, sometimes humorous, and that clients are empowered to make choices in the course of their treatment. Simultaneously, I think there are times when clients need to be challenged to make further growth and progress. I love stories and the stories of people’s lives. In therapy, my style would involve asking a lot of open-ended questions to learn more about your story and your journey. Therapy should involve clients feeling, safe, challenged, and learning strategies and approaches to handle your problems more effectively. In the end, ideally clients will feel better about themselves and their world. Most definitely, I believe that there are times that clients should laugh in therapy, as humor and laughing are an important part of healing. I love working with young adults and the new ways they have of looking at the world as well as helping them navigate their present challenges and future transitions.

During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.

In my work I am dedicated to supporting clients who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and mood regulation. I see therapy as an opportunity to identify goals and problem-solve the roadblocks that have stalled obtaining them. I believe that treatment is a partnership between client and therapist. Whether it’s identifying negative thinking patterns with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or incorporating mindfulness, radical acceptance, and distress tolerance with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); the supports I offer are based on your needs and goals.

Welcome to my profile, I’m so glad that you are considering therapy! Finding the right therapist and starting sessions can be intimidating, but you are on the right path. Thank you for considering me to be a part of your healing journey. I am a warm, affirming, and non-judgemental therapist and enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. My previous clients have reported liking my style of being down-to-earth, using humor in session, open to feedback and not acting like the “expert” on your experience. Therapy is a collaborative process that starts with your goals and expectations. I am here to support you and work together on your goals at a pace that feels helpful for you. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life changes, relationship challenges, childhood trauma, and perfectionism. I believe that therapy should be a space where you don't have to perform, explain, or minimize your feelings, no matter your reason for reaching out. As a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I welcome clients with diverse identities and concerns, and strive to create a safe, compassionate environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma/complex PTSD, including survivors of assault/abuse. I also support clients navigating life transitions, identity-related challenges, relationship concerns, emotional dysregulation, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and academic/workplace challenges. Since there's no one-size-fits-all in healing, our work together will be tailored to your unique needs and a pace that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable for you. This can include processing difficult experiences, building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and fostering self-compassion, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. As a Harvard-trained researcher, my therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care, integrating cognitive behavioral, dialectical, somatic, psychodynamic, and narrative interventions to help you create lasting, meaningful change. I look forward to supporting you in your journey towards a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic.
