Contending with life's daily pressures can often make it difficult to feel confident in your ability to thrive - and not just barely survive. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, or other concerns, therapy is a safe space where you can engage your existing coping skills and support systems while also discovering and implementing additional strategies and resources. I genuinely believe we have the resilience necessary to make meaningful, lasting changes in our lives. I employ an integrated, systemic approach to therapy and bring humility and cultural sensitivity to every interaction. I have specific experience and interest in working with pregnant and postpartum clients, and I incorporate important concepts such as coping with life transitions, communication, and boundary-setting in my work with every client. I offer supportive, affirming therapy empowering clients to achieve satisfaction in making the changes they seek. I also bring respect and compassion to the therapeutic alliance; my active and empathic listening helps clients feel validated/understood. My goal is to be your ally as we explore your innate strengths and foster your sense of self-affirmation.
As a mental health counselor of Asian descent with over a decade of experience working with clients from various ethnic backgrounds, I specialize in empowering individuals and families facing challenges related to cultural adjustment, substance abuse, and mental and behavioral health issues within the immigrant community. My therapeutic approach is grounded in existential and humanistic principles, with a focus on helping individuals find their place and purpose within the community.
As an experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor, it is my goal to provide a safe, comfortable, open-minded environment in which you feel free to express yourself and to reframe and integrate your life experiences in ways that encourage well-being, self-worth, healing, and hope. Whatever it is that you may be dealing with, you don't have to do it alone. Let's get together and figure it out. Our sessions can be a place for you to say anything without fear of judgment, decide what is no longer working in your life, come up with a plan, and take care of yourself first for a change, all from the comfort of your home, via video or call.
With over a decade of experience, Dipesh Patel helps adults navigate anxious thoughts, career curveballs, confidence slumps, parenting puzzles, infertility/family building stress, dating detours, and LGBTQ+ concerns. He believes therapy should create momentum—measurable progress, clearer thinking, and lasting change that resonates beyond the session. His mantra is that therapy, good therapy, should create some sort of movement. Whether it’s helping you create actual, tangible change in your life or helping move along an internal conversation that you can’t seem to make progress in.
Life can be a lot! There are times when people may feel hopeless, isolated, or like they have no choice but to struggle alone. As a queer person, I know the importance of connection and community. My goal is to offer a space where you can feel safe in vulnerability and supported in facing challenges. I work primarily with adults and college-aged individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in emotion-focused, relational work. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to find the best fit for your unique needs, believing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Being ready to start therapy doesn’t mean you have to feel ready to dive in head-first. Sometimes, the first challenge is simply taking that first step. If you want to do that, I will meet you at your pace with honesty, care, and respect as we work together toward understanding and change.
It has truly been an honor and privilege to assist clients that have been troubled by anxiety, depression, alcohol/drug use, addictions, and numerous other issues. Getting started with therapy takes great courage so my goal initially is to create a warm and safe environment, ideally where you'll feel comfortable unburdening yourself of anything that troubles you. My experience, skills, and innate nature have helped allow me to view and understand my clients' lives in unique ways that others often miss. Based on past experience, I'm confident that together we'll be able to find opportunities for creative solutions to even challenging problems. Effective therapists should also possess the qualities you'll also look for in a trusted friend. I'm warm and caring, and especially (and honestly) positive about you and your future. And like a good friend, I'll skillfully encourage you to flex/stretch your emotional "muscles" when that is in your best interest. Your goal might be for you to experience the calm sense of satisfaction that occurs when you know your life is on track for greater happiness and fulfillment. Together we'll find solutions where others often only see problems. Let's create your future story together. How may I help you?

I'm a Boston-based therapist who works with young adults and adolescents. I specialize in treating trauma and all the stuff that comes with it- bad moods, anxiety, explosive anger, poor self-esteem, sadness- you name it. I teach people skills to help them feel better in the moment while guiding them on a path of long-term healing. I'm certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and also trained with the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. I meet with people both in-person and virtually, and I speak English and Spanish. My approach to therapy is guided by what my clients are looking for and needing most. Therapy can- and should- be tailored to your styles of communication and expression. Maybe this means you'd like a lot of structure in your sessions- using worksheets to track and review anxious thought patterns. It could mean that you'd prefer open-ended sessions to explore deeper themes that've started popping up in your life. Or perhaps you're looking for a safe space to talk about something bad that's happened. I build a safe and productive space for us to work within, whatever the case may be.

Maybe it’s hard to name exactly what’s wrong. You may be functioning on the outside while feeling exhausted inside, unsure how to share any of this with the people and systems around you. I share and want to honor these experiences of moving between cultures and languages, carrying expectations, and navigating BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities. Together, I will work with you to co-create a space where you feel heard and seen, with room to better understand who you are and move toward what you want. My hope is to gently empower you with insights and momentum that extend into your life beyond therapy. As a queer Asian therapist with experience as an international student, I bring understanding of navigating identity, belonging, and multiple worlds into my work. My approach is trauma-informed, relational-cultural, and humanistic, with space for creative exploration of your experiences and relationships. I also integrate CBT and somatic tools when helpful. You don’t have to carry everything alone. If you’re looking for a fellow traveler who can hold your full story, sit with life challenges, and stay alongside you through uncertainty and change, I’m here to walk with you.

I am experienced in working with adults that are dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationship issues, and life transitional stress. I believe that everyone has the strength to dig deeper into their psyche and understand themselves better. I recognize how different environmental factors can induce feelings of loneliness, and I can help provide a space that feels open, non-judgmental, and safe for all kinds of expression. My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I integrate various behavioral and mindfulness based interventions in my practice, tailoring my style to best meet my clients’ needs. Through humor and introspective conversations, I believe in building a genuine connection that propels healing and growth. As an immigrant and a woman of color, I recognize that mental health stigma can limit asking for help. I ensure a culturally competent lens and hope we can work together on this journey of finding that inner strength and wisdom.
