Working through these challenges is extremely important and attainable. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I approach the needs of my clients individually. I utilize my experience with different therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, strength based and mindfulness based stress reduction techniques. I am passionate about working with people to understand and overcome things such as anxiety, depression, coping with issues relating to the Covid pandemic, anger and mitigating substance use. Individual Telehealth appointments only! I received my master’s degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling specializing in Music Therapy in 2018. I enjoy my clinical work and value the courage it takes to engage in therapy. I am an outgoing, personable individual, and provide a creative, safe, and welcoming environment for my clients to meet the challenges in life in order to live their best lives. My clients are always eager to do the work in therapy, of course at varying degrees. Therapy is for those who want it and not necessarily those who "need" it. Frankly, I think everyone would benefit from being in therapy, but it would not be successful without any investment on their end. If one is not interested or motivated to change, then the tools and techniques I provide will not be able to help you. I can understand when it is difficult to complete tasks or follow up on recommendations that I will suggest, however, once you start the work you will see a difference. My clients often come to me feeling stuck, unsure of themselves, lacking confidence, and struggling to function in their everyday lives. If you are looking to learn more about yourself and how past and/or current issues are impacting you then I am your person! I am currently working at Fitzgerald Counseling Group and you can reach out to them via their website, phone number, or email, and request you are interested in working with me!

I became a therapist to bring my passion for helping others into a space where you can feel truly comfortable, supported, and understood. My goal is not just to create that feeling within our sessions, but to help you carry it into your life and relationships. When we work together, you’ll find me walking alongside you, offering guidance and support as we explore what empowers you and helps you feel more confident in who you are. I’m here to encourage you, celebrate your progress, and help you build a stronger, more authentic connection with yourself and the world around you.
Lighthouse Counseling and Sand Play Center
Lighthouse Counseling & Sand Play Training Center is an outpatient facility providing support through scheduled appointments only for families, children, couples, and individuals. We also offer workshops and groups for individuals seeking community and support. Sand Play therapy allows the person to tap into the psyche. Through the use of symbolic figures, a person is able to create in the sand tray stories which examine their wounds, the effects from those wounds, and the possibilities for resolution. The practitioner is then able to help a person to connect insights to feelings and begin the journey toward healing. Through Sand Play, the adult client is able to build the skills necessary to avoid the problematic patterns of the past. Children’s thoughts and feelings are given a voice through symbolic play, enabling them to resolve their issues in a language they understand. “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to maximize treatment effects. These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies. EMDR is an information processing therapy and uses an eight phase approach ….After EMDR processing, clients generally report that the emotional distress related to the memory has been eliminated, or greatly decreased and that they have gained important cognitive insights. Importantly, these emotional and cognitive changes usually result in spontaneous behavioral and personal change, which are further enhanced with standard EMDR procedures.” The development of the addictive personality is not an overnight event. Often times, an addicted person will have a history of trauma and grief. It is critical to have a comprehensive treatment plan with a therapist who specializes in addictions work in order to make a full recovery. We treat addictions to illegal drugs, alcohol and prescription medications as well as sexual addictions.
Nichole Farrington
I am a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate their challenges. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Worcester State University, where I also minored in Sociology and focused on mental health and women's studies. Following that, I earned a Master's in Forensic and Investigative Psychology from the University of Liverpool. From the very beginning of my career, I discovered my passion for working with families and children. I believe in creating warm and supportive environments where everyone feels safe and valued. This dedication inspired me to pursue a Master's in Social Work from Anna Maria College, allowing me to better serve the community that is close to my heart. I have had the privilege to work across various settings, including residential care, intensive in-home support, schools, and outpatient services, which has enriched my understanding of the diverse needs of families and children. In my sessions, I strive to foster a nurturing and compassionate space where clients can feel understood and empowered to pursue their goals. I use a strength-based approach, offering encouragement and support to help clients along their journey. I believe it is essential for clients to be at the heart of the treatment process, actively participating in setting their own goals. This ensures that their voices are not only heard but truly valued in every session. Together, we can embark on a transformative journey towards healing and personal growth. Clients can expect that they will be heard and respected in sessions, and that their goals and dreams are a priority. Through this process, they will be validated and supported in helping them reach their full potential.

Whitney Palma
Maybe you've spent so long being strong for everyone else that you've forgotten what it feels like to be understood. Whitney is a licensed therapist in Hanover who believes healing starts in a real relationship, one where you're heard and accepted as you are. She works with adults carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, attuned to how culture, race, and identity shape how we see ourselves. Many clients are also moving through a shift: going through big life transitions/adjustments, or untangling patterns that once protected them but no longer fit. Whitney meets each person with warmth, in person in Hanover or by telehealth anywhere in Massachusetts. Sessions center on the relationship as much as technique. Whitney draws on relational, humanistic, and psychodynamic thinking: naming patterns that keep you stuck, building steadier ways to ride out big emotions, and understanding how family and culture shaped how you cope. You don't have to arrive with the right words or a tidy explanation of what's wrong. My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little lighter, not fixed, just less alone with it. If you're ready to be heard without having to perform being okay, I'd be honored to hear your story and support you along the way.

So glad you've started this process and found yourself here. Should we decide to take the next steps together, you will find a dedicated space just for you, where I fully encourage, and want to see, your authentic self. Whether you are experiencing sadness, relational concerns, anxiety, or difficulty with adjustment, the main goal is for you to grow and make new meaning out of your experiences. We may work particularly well together if you're looking to explore your sense of self, identity concerns, social justice concerns, trauma, and relationship challenges. My approach explores how ideas of self and the world have formed and works towards reframing these ideas to create personal meaning. I strongly believe that society has a profound impact on mental health and individual concerns don't exist in a vacuum. We will create the opportunity to explore, acknowledge, and rework your personal narrative. *PLEASE NOTE: I am in-network for Aetna in NJ only*
Bianca Staudt (of Sacred Space Psychotherapy)
You’re eager to come home to yourself, and grow roots there - no matter what life throws your way. Life can be both messy and beautiful, and sometimes in the drama we lose connection with the inner wisdom that helps us navigate the changing seasons. We might feel far from ourselves, longing for confidence, peace, and contentment. This is your invitation to rediscover yourself—to cultivate the joy, creativity, and inner wisdom that may have felt out of reach. Together, we’ll create a space that feels alive, compassionate, and safe for your whole self to unfold. I integrate expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and attachment-based approaches to help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom and your innate creative spark. Through movement, art, reflection, and presence, we’ll explore what it means to trust yourself again—to feel more grounded, open, and authentically you. I work with people who want to feel more rooted and confident in themselves—whether you're discovering who you are in new ways or moving through an important life change. Many of the folks I support are navigating transitions like entering young adulthood/quarterlife, shifting in midlife, or facing the complexities of major illness, grief, and end-of-life caregiving. I also walk with people exploring post-traumatic growth, reconnecting with creativity, or seeking a whole-person approach to wellbeing. Often, I simply meet people in that tender place of feeling tired and ready for something new. My style is collaborative, warm, and curious. I believe healing can include laughter, play, and moments of wonder alongside deep, authentic emotional work. As you strengthen self-compassion and your capacity for joy, you can begin to experience greater ease in your relationships and a more vibrant connection with life itself. Available via telehealth for folks in NH & MA

I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and healed, and that as your therapist, it's my job to meet you exactly where you're at. Izabela Skorska
Hi, I’m Bela. College can bring a lot of change, pressure, and uncertainty, but it can also be a meaningful time for self-discovery and exploration. It’s completely understandable to feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck at times. I work with students navigating relationships, identity, family expectations, food and body image, and difficult past experiences. I offer a warm, genuine space where you can be yourself, explore what matters to you, make sense of what you’re going through, and find a way forward that feels aligned with your core Self. If you’re curious about working together, we can start with a no pressure chat to see if we might be a good fit. If you’re outside my insurance plan, I’m also happy to talk about financial flexibility and options. I’m licensed in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. I meet with clients in person at my West Hartford office and offer telehealth throughout both states. For students who live, study, or spend time in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, this allows us to combine in-person and virtual sessions while maintaining continuity of care. Telehealth sessions are available whenever you are physically located in either state.
