You may be feeling stuck—restless, lost, or weighed down by things you don’t fully understand. Maybe it’s unfinished business from childhood, the pressure to always have it together, or just a nagging sense that something is missing. I get it. Life can be overwhelming, and it’s easy to feel lost in the noise. During my time in the military, I saw how deeply these struggles run, and I’ve spent my career helping people work through them. I will offer you non-judgmental space where you can sort through it all. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about real conversations, self-discovery, and building the life you actually want. My mission as your therapist is to collaborate with you in discovering your higher self. I practice from a Person-Centered lens that blends aspects of Gestalt Therapy, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in Natural Flow EMDR & Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. I will treat you like a human, not a science project. I pride myself on my laidback, casual style and in this approach I hope to show you that therapy is not as intimidating or mysterious as it may seem. I urge you to come exactly as you are, bringing your whole self. I appreciate you and I look forward to meeting you very soon.
Peaceful Resolutions primarily serves women of color who are dealing with concerns such as anxiety, stress and life adjustments such as moving to a new city, becoming a mom or wife, or navigating interpersonal relationships as a whole.
We all have moments in our lives when we need support. Especially during these challenging times, meeting life’s demands is tough. Feeling stuck might be preventing you from moving forward and living your best life. You may be feeling overwhelmed, and it may seem like you’re facing more stress than you can handle. Therapy can give you the tools to get through life’s many challenges. It can offer you a way to let go of suffering, provide a sense of well-being, and allow you to learn, grow, and thrive despite what you’re facing. Making the decision to begin therapy is a healthy step toward making positive changes and moving toward creating the life you want for yourself. I have been trained in a variety of evidence-based practices, but since each person is unique, I will tailor my approach to your specific needs. My most important goal when we meet will be to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to work toward healing, growth, improved self-awareness, and feeling good about yourself. Due to my background and experiences, I would especially enjoy the opportunity to work with nontraditional students, first-generation students, and international students. Have you recently experienced trauma or struggling with past trauma? I provide trauma-informed therapy in a way that is warm and engaging. Are you stumbling through the relentless bs of the last few years? Perhaps current events reopened old wounds or crushed you with crippling anxiety. I work with clients who are distressed, in pain, and ready for relief - who go between feeling incredibly tense or just numb. I treat different types of trauma with a focus on complex childhood trauma. Together, we'll identify the source of your pain and find ways to help you heal so that you can feel and function better. Often that looks like improved relationships, a calm mind, relaxed body, and a clearer vision about what you want to accomplish moving forward.
I work with clients who are grappling with anxiety, depression, and stress. Many are dealing with changes in their family, including substance use, codependency, and relationship issues. My clients are diverse but they all want to feel understood, heard, and validated. The most important part of therapy is the rapport between the clinician and the client, which is known as unconditional positive regard. The client needs to feel supported so that they can freely discuss the presenting problem. Throughout this process, I strive to be warm, empathetic, and knowledgeable; clients have previously described me as patient and open minded.
*TELEHEALTH ONLY* My practice is a safe place for all women and their unique beliefs. Are you exhausted? I'm here to help women who are struggling with life's inevitable ups and downs. Are you navigating modern motherhood, and work-life "balance" (is there EVER really complete balance)? Does making friends feel like a chore? Maybe it's ADHD, anxiety, or postpartum? Is perimenopause knocking at the door? Let's figure it out together. I am kind, but direct in my approach. Please understand that I no longer conduct phone consultations. I believe that the best way to truly decide if we are a good fit working together, is to meet and go from there. My approach to working with clients is that the client is always the expert on their own lives. I see clients from a strengths-based perspective, and help my clients recognize and use those strengths fully. I take an integrative approach to meet your needs. I am a psychodynamic therapist, but I make use of polyvagal theory and mindfulness as well. I know it can be overwhelming to reach out for help when you need it the most. It takes bravery to take this next step. Be proud of yourself for being here right now. I typically respond within two business days. Check your spam folder to be sure you didn't miss it. Please note that I ONLY work with WOMEN in my practice and ONLY via telehealth at this time.
Providing steadfast hope for individuals and couples.
Are you confused and do not know what your next steps are? Do you look in the mirror and no longer recognize the face staring back at you? If so, just know that this is the first step to a new start and I look forward to us working together to assist you in finding the balance. I have a love for people who are in the unknown and stuck points. People who are uncertain of themselves or their identity. Individuals that need to feel empowered and healed. Ones who have learned to operate on autopilot in the outside world only due to avoiding healing the inside world. If this sounds like you, reach out so we can unpack it together. During our sessions, we will develop a collaborative relationship where we work on any presiding issues that you have. This will allow you to really dig deep within yourself to gain a better understanding of your self-awareness. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to be your most authentic self. My therapeutic style isn’t your textbook therapist. I aim to provide some light through relatability, experience and knowledge, while we take a close look at how we can rewrite your story. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and I am to be more holistic. I will combine my personal and professional experiences to get you to a place of whole healing. Together, we will find a balance and your truest self.
Welcome. And when I say “welcome,” I welcome all of you— Mind, Body, Heart, Spirit, Soul. You get to shed the chameleon’s skin you’ve been wearing, let go of the weight of keeping it all together, and you certainly have permission to not walk on eggshells any more. Trying to please others for so long can make us want to scream. Especially if you have been working so hard to heal from trauma, you may feel especially exhausted. Together, in a safe and authentic relationship, we will uncover important pieces of the puzzle for your healing & thriving. Let's meet and embrace your authentic self, the life that is uniquely yours to live. Therapy with me is body-centered and nervous system-oriented. The body and nervous system (NS) hold our memories, experiences, and pathways to healing and our personal truths. Inviting in the body and NS can come in many forms; we may explore CranioSacral Therapy, somatic techniques, therapeutic yoga, Yoga Nidra, breathwork, etc. It is your choice! The feedback I most often receive is, “Your presence is so calming," and, "I immediately feel safe with you." I vow to be a safe person, to maintain a safe space, and to connect with you authentically. I would love to walk with you in your journey of healing, transformation, and self-empowerment. I hope you'll reach out.
