I provide therapy for adults and adolescents in private practice, specializing in mood disorders, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, addiction, and trauma. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, chronic worry, low mood, and low motivation, including those who feel stuck in a functional “freeze” state, able to meet daily responsibilities but struggling to fully engage in life. I also support individuals coping with suicidal thoughts. My practice includes treatment for ADHD/ADD and executive functioning difficulties, such as challenges with time management, organization, focus, and follow-through. I also work with high-functioning individuals, including those with high IQ and nonverbal learning differences, who may experience frustration, overwhelm, or issues with impulsivity. I address addiction and compulsive behaviors, including substance use as well as problematic screen use, social media, and video games, often in connection with underlying emotional regulation and impulse control difficulties. I specialize in trauma therapy, working with both single-incident trauma and complex developmental trauma, including adoption-related trauma.
You don't have to have all the answers yet. If you've always felt different but never knew why—overthinking social situations, struggling to start or finish tasks, feeling overwhelmed by schedules that seem easy for everyone else—you might be neurodivergent. Many college students arrive at my office without a formal diagnosis, just a deep sense that something has been harder for them than it should be. I specialize in working with ADHD and autistic students, including those who are questioning or self-identified. Together, we can make sense of your patterns, build systems that actually fit your brain, and separate who you are from the shame that has built up over the years. No masking required. You're not broken. You've just been using the wrong manual.

I work best with students who are used to being the "high-functioning" one - the person others rely on, the one who pushes through, achieves, and keeps going even when they're overwhelmed internally. Over the past decade, I've helped clients navigate anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and the pressure to always do more. Many of the clients I work with struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, self-criticism, or feeling like they can never fully relax. They often appear successful on the outside while privately feeling exhausted, emotionally disconnected, stuck in pressure, or constantly worried they're falling behind. Some students come to therapy because they feel burned out academically. Others are navigating relationship stress, family pressure, identity changes, career uncertainty, or difficulty balancing achievement with their mental health. My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative -with enough challenge to help you create meaningful change. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and build healthier patterns without losing the parts of yourself that are ambitious, driven, or deeply caring.
Hi! My name is Mary Denning and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves helping clients live happier, healthier lives. I've worked across many age groups, cultures, and diagnoses. I started my career with geriatric clients, then worked with adolescents and families throughout the public school system, all while working in palliative and hospice care. Those experiences shaped my private practice today and gave me the skills to meet a wide range of needs. As your therapist, my goal is to help you reach yours. I'll be a sounding board where you can freely share your thoughts and feelings, and I'll work to fully understand you so I can help you understand yourself. Together we'll set realistic goals and build the tools to reach them. I genuinely love helping people see themselves in a new light and create real change in their lives. I know firsthand what it feels like to be heard, supported, and guided, and how much that can shift your whole outlook. Therapy can help anyone, and I'd really encourage you to give it a try. Life is too short to be at war with yourself! Looking forward to meeting you! Mary Denning, LCSW

As an individual, couples, and family therapist, I work with college students and young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring academic pressure, internship and job challenges, career uncertainty, relationship challenges, family expectations, loneliness, identity questions, the stress of figuring out who you are and where you’re headed and more. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by everything on your plate, struggling with stress or motivation, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, having difficulty setting boundaries, or trying to balance school, relationships, family, work and your own needs. Sometimes, you may simply know that something feels off and want a space to talk it through. I support college students and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, family conflict, self-esteem, identity, career, vocational concerns, internship and job challenges, grief and loss, life transitions, and more. My therapy approach is warm, welcoming, collaborative, and judgment-free. We’ll work together to identify goals that are meaningful to you and explore what may be getting in the way. Some of the goals clients have worked toward in therapy include managing anxiety and stress, building confidence and self-esteem, improving communication and relationships, establishing healthier boundaries, navigating family dynamics, gaining clarity around identity and career, and adjusting to major life transitions. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You can come as you are, and we can begin from there.
You're showing up to class, turning in the assignments, smiling in the group chat — and falling apart the second you're alone. If you're exhausted from holding it together for everyone but yourself, you're not broken. You're carrying more than anyone can see, and it's time someone helped you put it down. At Peace-Filled, we work with college students navigating the pressure to perform — academically, socially, online, and at home. Whether it's anxiety that won't switch off, a depression you've gotten good at hiding, family expectations that don't leave room for who you actually are, or a past you haven't had the space to process — we get it, and we know how to help you move through it. Our therapists are diverse, culturally grounded, and trained in trauma-focused care. We don't hand you generic coping tips and call it a day. We help you understand why you feel stuck, build the tools to actually change it, and walk with you while you do — virtually or in person, on your schedule. You don't have to have it all figured out to reach out. You just have to be ready to feel lighter.
You're functioning well by most measures. And something is still off. Maybe anxiety has become the background noise of your day. Maybe you've long wondered if there's a name for why focus, energy, and follow-through feel harder than they should. Maybe you're navigating burnout, a difficult relationship, or a life transition you didn't see coming. At Let's Talk Psychological Wellness, we specialize in anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions. We match you with a clinician whose background fits your life and can usually get you in within the week. We are in-network with Aetna and out-of-network with all other major insurance plans. The Essential Counseling Services team is a group of mental health providers helping adolescents and adults through challenging times. Our professional therapists help people heal through traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other emotional hardships.
You might be here because life feels overwhelming, or you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, or the lingering impact of trauma. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in painful emotional cycles or disconnected from who they used to be, whether because of relationship changes, career shifts, immigration experiences, or earlier life events that continue to affect them. In our work together, I offer a safe, collaborative space where you set the pace. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors and draw from narrative therapy to explore how your life experiences shape the way you see yourself and your future. We’ll also integrate mindfulness and self-compassion strategies so you have practical tools to navigate challenges day to day. My previous experience includes supporting individuals in crisis, leading wellness groups, and connecting clients with resources to enhance their well-being. These experiences strengthened my dedication to whole-person care and the importance of meeting people where they are. I specialize in supporting adults, including those navigating cultural identity-related stress and life transitions. As a trilingual clinician, I pay close attention to the ways culture and identity can impact mental health. My goal is for you to feel truly heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward lasting growth and well-being. When I’m not working, I recharge by sharing meals and conversations with friends, enjoying movies, or listening to music that helps me reset after a full day. If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need to have everything figured out to start. This is your time and space, and I’m here to meet you wherever you are.
