I might be a fit for you if: - You believe in creating a positive impact in the world - You sense your life is at a moment of significance - You want more agency over your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors - You are someone aiming to take as much responsibility for your life as possible - The world seems daunting but also amazing and one worth navigating with some intent
We move through our days like houses filled with locked rooms, some we have never entered, some we have sealed off ourselves. We tell ourselves stories about why we cannot move forward, about the things that press against us—unseen but insistent. And yet, no one is truly alone. We are shaped by the hands and voices of others, by the echoes of what was said and unsaid. Change, is not a solitary act. My work is to sit with you in the quiet, to help you unlatch the doors, to sweep away the dust and debris of what holds you back. You do not need to become someone else—only to step fully into yourself. I also specialize in guiding those with ADHD through the labyrinth of daily life and helping people find clarity in their careers.
Hello! It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance! My name is Anna and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a native Oregonian, an Oregon State University graduate (go Beavs!), and received a master's degree in Social Work from Portland State University in 2019. I am a mom to one dog, four cats, and two human teenagers, and when it's not raining, you can find me out in the garden, eating chocolate, or listening to 90's music. I serve youth aged 10 through older adulthood and believe it is never too late to try something new. Conditions I treat most often include anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, anger, grief, and navigating becoming your most authentic self. I am an affirming, accepting, LGBTQIA+ ally and clinician.
Welcome! I am an LCSW with 29+ years experience specializing in trauma. I have been in private practice for 21 years and I worked in residential treatment and inpatient psychiatric hospitals with adolescents prior to this. I am licensed in CO, WA, OR and NY.
I offer a warm, welcoming space where you will be met with honesty and positivity. The therapy I offer is heart-centered and empathetic support for those who are experiencing anxiety and depression, and life transitions. I take a person-centered approach to collaborate with you on your goals, meeting you wherever you are in your journey. I believe in the healing and change that therapy brings people and believe in the power of tapping into the creative and deeper part of self that promotes true growth. I also believe in the unique strengths and abilities of people. As a therapist, my goal is to support you in increasing your self-compassion and self-confidence to achieve the life you desire.
Clients who come to my practice are going through life transitions - adjustments to school and moving, relationship concerns, and making life decisions. In addition to traditional therapy practices, I also practice (and teach) ecotherapy - a method of treatment that includes nature in the process. For some people this means we hold our sessions outdoors. For others, we include 'nature prescriptions' in their work outside of the office appointment. These methods are especially helpful for those who love the outdoors, and for clients struggling with depression and anxiety issues.
My expertise lies in working with young adults, ranging in age from late teens to 20’s and 30’s. Through years of experience working in counseling centers at colleges and universities and with clients in this age range, I understand the unique challenges life can pose for young adults and will help you strive towards greater satisfaction with yourself, in your life and in your relationships. I view the relationship between therapist and client as a partnership. We will work together to get you where you want to be. I work with a variety of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, sexual orientation and identity, self-esteem, substance abuse and life transitions. I am currently offering teletherapy sessions and I am accepting new clients. I practice Gestalt therapy in a warm and supportive environment, where I will help you gain insight into past patterns of behavior that are no longer useful, help you uncover barriers that are holding you back, develop new ways of coping, and build on existing strengths. Feel free to reach out with any questions about me or my approach!
I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. They are often overwhelmed by the demands of their sport, which can blur the lines between passion and harmful habits. Their primary goal is to reclaim their lives and their love for their sport, seeking not just recovery, but transformation—an opportunity to realign their beliefs and values towards a healthier, more balanced existence. They crave empowerment, resilience, and the ability to thrive both in their athletic pursuits and personal lives.
What haven't you said? And what might change if you said it? Some things only become known and shift under the right conditions. I'm Andrew, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Ashland, OR, remote across OR, MD, and NY. I've been a therapist for 15 years. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship snags, troublesome patterns, career and purpose questions, and the more diffuse sense that something is off. I work with students and graduate students sorting out what it means to become themselves while meeting everyone else's expectations, and with medical students and residents under the particular pressures of clinical training. I've also spent years with addiction, trauma, and more acute struggles. My training is psychoanalytic, but in practice I'm more interested in you than in applying any of it to you. I'm not here to fit you into a framework or hand you formulas for how to be. Together we explore what matters, what repeats, what gets avoided, what happens between us. You come to know what's best. That stays with you anywhere. The first conversation is a brief phone call, fifteen or twenty minutes, to talk about what brought you in and whether we're a fit. Not sure if therapy is for you? That's a fine place to start. Reach out.
I specialize in helping young adult navigate their 20s. It isn't easy to navigate school, work, family, friendships and romantic relationships. Many young adults are experiencing anxiety, depression and confusion. I am here to help you gain clarity on who you are and what you want. In therapy we will work to identify what is working in your life and where you are struggling. I am here to help provide a friendly ear, a nonjudgmental space and help you acquire the skills you need to feel more relaxed, more clear and happier. Reach out, there is no need to do this alone.
Soothe anxiety, heal past wounds, and come home to yourself. You long to feel more confident and at home in your own skin, but right now you feel stuck, lost, and exhausted from feeling like you're never enough. You can't seem to find lasting relief from anxiousness in your mind/body, even after trying so many ways to feel better. Perhaps you have been made to feel like your sensitivity and tender heart is "too much". You don't have to figure this out alone. I support young women as they cultivate inner peace and a renewed sense of wholeness. I support clients with a warm, compassionate, and relational approach backed by trauma-informed tools to make feeling grounded more accessible. A holistic mind-body-spirit approach can help you cultivate a sense of peace and clarity in the present, while accessing deeper emotional healing. If this resonates with you, email me to schedule a free consultation call.
I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where sources of emotional pain and anguish are discovered and revisited, where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or come to be unspeakable can become imagined, felt and spoken. The process generates an understanding of ourselves that is vastly more dynamic than what our relationships, politics and culture allow, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities. The therapy I provide is open, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to say or how to feel. It is an invitation to notice what comes to mind and what does not. What can emerge in a therapy is dynamic. It can surprise, frustrate, thrill and provoke. These experiences are worked through together. As you bring yourself as fully as possible to what confuses or afflicts, I will help guide you with my understanding of the mind toward a life of growth and healing.
What is an Authentic Life Path? The question should really be What is YOUR Authentic Life Path? Often in the hustle and bustle of the “real world” we kind of just go with the flow and often lose ourselves. Sometimes it is scary to live our lives authentically. Living authentically means the person you feel you truly are on the inside. I started my career in the IT field, but realized I did not have a passion for it or enjoy it. I wanted to help others. I became a licensed marriage and family therapist, and am now living my authentic life path and want to help you find and live yours. I specialize in working with children, tweens, teens and adults who identify as transgender or genderqueer. I also specialize in the LGBTQIAA+ community. I work with all religions and spiritualities and all types of families no matter what the unique makeup. I provide a safe, supportive environment for you to explore yourself and grow into your most authentic self and find the path that is right for you. Give me a call or email if you have any questions.
I love providing support to students navigating the challenges unique to the college years. I work well with both traditional and non-traditional students. I offer a warm and empathic connection, with plenty of care balanced with humor. I enjoy building a therapeutic connection and assisting my clients in their own growth and development.
