The Courtyard Counseling Center, LLC provides psychological services to clients in the Central Pennsylvania area and virtually in the state of Pennsylvania. Our six clinicians provide counseling for individuals, couples and families. We have been providing services for 40 years and are the longest operating group practice in Snyder, Union, and Northumberland counties.

However, there ARE many ways of processing these very important aspects of who we are. Therapy is a wonderful and fulfilling way to do just that. I'm glad you're here. I currently maintain an all-virtual private practice and provide therapy to both individuals and couples. I am comfortable with a variety of presenting concerns and have a specialty focus of relational/couples therapy. I have completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, an evidenced-based approach to couples therapy. My approach is warm and practical, providing evidence-based care tailored to your individual needs and goals. For those interested in the details of my approach, I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including more specific CBT-based treatments (e.g. Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and various evidence-based treatments for PTSD). In addition to therapy, I also provide a variety of assessment services, including diagnostic clarification and psychoeducational assessment, including diagnosis of ADHD. I believe that at some point in life, everybody needs somebody. None of us are immune to hardship and distress. Really, it is not a matter of "if" but "when." Even though there are natural ebbs and flows, sometimes we need for someone to hear us, hold our pain, validate our experience and model a new way of coping with patterns of thinking and behavior that keep us stuck. For that reason, my passion is to aide in a client’s journey towards self-fulfillment. Through my clinical work, I am committed to supporting and empowering clients in times of distress through warmth, compassion, and challenging them to discover their true selves. I use a variety of systems that takes an integrative approach to help clients develop strategies for generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, phobias, separation anxiety, PANS/PANDAS, tics, hair pulling, skin picking, and trauma. Additionally, I have experience working with selective mutism, survivors of violent and non-violent crimes, and first responder’s mental health.
My practice specializes in evidence based treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I help patients learn how to reduce depression, anxiety and ocd symptoms and live more fulfilling lives. I offer a DBT Skills training groups to learn tangible ways to stabilize mood and anxiety.

I spent 24 years studying and working in universities as a student (undergrad and grad), program coordinator (staff), assistant professor (faculty), and state specialist (extension). I worked hard to earn my degrees and make my mark in academia, but I was often looking for guidance and support from my peers about my career. Sometimes finding a listening ear who truly understood me, my strengths, and my goals was challenging. This sparked ideas for a career change, and back to school I went for 5 years part-time while working as a professor, being a spouse, raising two young kids, and still fitting-in some outside pursuits. I became a counselor, and I founded AutumnSpring Counseling, to help students, faculty, staff, and others connected to universities navigate through and cope with the challenges of academic study and work. I am dual certified in mental health (NCC) and career counseling (CCC), and I strive to help clients develop strategies for their present and their future career situations. Dr. Iris Kim is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in treatment for ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, psychiatric symptoms resulting from medical illness, psychotic disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Kim's clinical approach is evidence-based and personalized, focused on understanding her patients in the context of their unique lives. After a thorough evaluation process, she works collaboratively with each patient to build a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing medication when appropriate, as well as psychotherapy. Dr. Kim strives to help patients make the most of their particular strengths and pursue fulfilling and meaningful goals. Dr. Kim received her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Northwestern University. She earned her M.D. degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, serving as Program Chief Resident during her final year. She is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
