Hi! I'm Grace, a white, queer, disabled, cis-woman. I believes that therapy is an intuitive and collaborative process. I view my work as a privilege, and believe that the therapeutic relationship is built over time. I hope to co-create a space of mutual growth with you, exploring pathways of healing, connection, and meaning. I bring humor, compassion, and support to the therapy space. I truly believe that we heal through our relationships with others, ourselves, and the world - and hope to provide safety and containment for folx exploring relational or attachment trauma, and/or those living with chronic illness and disability. Other areas of speciality include queerness and identity formation, anxiety and depression, disordered eating and body image, and life transitions.

I am a human being learning, like you, how to be here. In a world that can feel overwhelming, I offer space to slow down, understand what you are carrying, and find ways to cope that feel aligned, rooted in care, intention, and honesty. My approach to therapy is collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I support clients in exploring how their experiences shape how they feel, relate, and move through the world.

Hey, I’m Laura Fidorowicz. I work with college students who are used to holding it all together—but underneath are dealing with anxiety, burnout, depression, or using substances more than they’d like to cope. A lot of the people I work with are high-achieving and hard on themselves. You might look like you’ve got everything handled, but inside it feels like constant pressure, overthinking, or never quite feeling “good enough.” Maybe you’ve started relying on alcohol or other substances to take the edge off, check out, or just get through the week. My style is real, collaborative, and practical. I’m not here to judge you or lecture you—and I’m definitely not just going to sit quietly while you talk. We’ll actually dig into what’s going on and build tools you can use in real life, whether that’s managing anxiety, breaking perfectionism cycles, or changing your relationship with substances. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to get support. If something feels off, that’s enough. If you’re ready for a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and start making real changes, I’d love to work with you.

I often work with students who feel weighed down by stress, perfectionism, or the pressure to have it all figured out. My goal is to give you a supportive space to sort through those challenges, build healthier coping skills, and feel more confident in both school and life.

I'm excited you're here! Therapeutic relationships can be an incredibly powerful resource for accessing your truth, increasing self-love, and healing through connection. My aim as a therapist is to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space that supports clients in divesting from narratives of self-pathology, rewriting their stories in empowering ways, and in feeling more grounded and more joyful in their daily lives. My practice is rooted in a social justice frame and a belief that symptoms are most often related to the trauma of lived experiences of oppression and discrimination, not due to internal failing. I work with clients who need help managing anxiety, exploring identity, managing life transitions, managing symptoms of trauma, and undoing internalized white supremacy. I offer a politicized lens and believe in the connection between relational healing and collective liberation. I intend for therapy to be an affirming, healing and celebratory space. For those pursuing gender affirming surgeries or HRT, I'm happy to provide letters for your insurance/surgeon. I identify as White, queer, trans, nonbinary, fat, and neurodiverse (ADHD). As of August 2025, I have availability for virtual clients. Please feel free to reach out - I’d love to chat about potentially working together!

I see patients ages 18+ for initial evaluations and medication management. I have 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including providing medication management/therapy at a university counseling center, evaluating patients in a crisis response center, and providing medication management/therapy in outpatient private practice and community mental health settings. Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is able to accommodate both in-office and Telemedicine Virtual Psychiatric Appointments. I am experienced in the medical treatment of depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, trauma disorders, and others. I can help patients switch or taper off of psychiatric medications. I prefer to use the least amount of medication possible for patients. I truly enjoy helping people feel like themselves again. I am a down-to-earth, understanding, and informative provider for my patients. I take a holistic approach. Recommendations may include medication, therapy, changes to diet, activity, lifestyle, and sleep hygiene. Patient education is important to me; all steps recommended are explained thoroughly.

When I retired from professional ballet, I attended Princeton University for my undergraduate studies. I started going to therapy and found it helped me participate more fully in my life and find more joy in my experience of college. My interest in mental health led me to study social work at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by sport psychology in Scotland, as a Fulbright scholar. I enjoy working with a variety of people, including athletes/artists/performers navigating transitions and retirement.

Welcome! Your courage to work towards a better you is commendable. When starting out in therapy, our focus will be on developing a therapeutic relationship based on trust. I approach sessions with empathy and compassion in a nonjudgmental space where you may ask yourself, "What do I want from this experience?" I can support you through addressing current/past hurt and be present with you as emotions come up. I will be with you as you explore the internalized narratives that influence your functioning and wellbeing. I believe therapy should be an empowering process, in which your strengths are highlighted. I consider multicultural systems and identities in my framework for treating adolescent and adult clients within the contexts that matter most to them. I have specialized interests in serving college and graduate students; multiracial/multiethnic identifying clients; clients who identify as racial minorities; LGBTQIA+ clients and women. Prior to transitioning to private practice, I worked as a counselor at Immaculata University's Counseling Center. During my time there, I supported students in navigating the college experience and its nuances. This included, but was not limited to, supporting students experiencing homesickness; supporting first generation college students; supporting students' challenges with perfectionism; supporting students navigating identity development; supporting students of color in navigating a predominantly white campus; supporting students with time management; supporting neurodivergent students; supporting seniors in navigating anxiety around graduation etc.

You're welcome to connect over a free 15-minute consultation before deciding to book. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in non-profit, hospital, school, and community behavioral health settings. I come to this work rooted in a deep commitment to social justice. I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you! "You're Braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem. and Smarter than you think." - A.A. Milne

"Why now?" is a question I often ask at the beginning of therapy. Some people come in the aftermath of a personal or relationship crisis, some seek relief for old pain, others simply feel certain that its time for a change. My work is well-suited for people experiencing anger, grief, compassion fatigue, trauma reactivity, anxiety, depression, patterns of conflict and concerns of purpose and identity. I'm not overwhelmed by strong feelings or complex struggles. Whatever reason you may have to begin therapy, we'll work together to find the heart of the matter and what might help. My process is insight-oriented and collaborative but I'll tell you what I think. Clients have appreciated my warmth, directness and cultural competency. Some have stayed with me for years or returned after long breaks. I've had success connecting with adolescents and people who feel ambivalent about therapy. I'm deeply curious about how each of my clients experiences the world and I'll be glad to meet you. Reach out, and we can see if we might work well together.

I started my career as a social worker in Philadelphia working with adults living with HIV/AIDS. After finishing graduate school at Temple University and receiving my Master of Social Work degree, I began working with children in the foster care system. Much of my professional career has been working with non-traditional families formed through foster care and adoption. Many of my current clients are teens or adults who were adopted, individuals or couples who have chosen to adopt, or first parents (biological parents) who chose adoption for a child. I’ve always been drawn to, and count myself among, people who share the feeling of not quite fitting in. Through therapy I strive to help people find and celebrate what makes them unique and to find strength in their difference. My identity as a white, heterosexual, cisgender woman who is married and a stepparent plays a role in our work together. I’m also an animal loving vegan who grew up on a farm, loves to travel, and is trying to develop a green thumb. I share these things about myself so we can potentially explore how our social positions, life choices and interests impact our therapeutic relationship.
