Welcome! I work primarily with those who identify as high achievers, problem solvers, and doers. Often that identity can be really functional in some parts of life, but leave us feeling stuck, confused, and frustrated in other parts of life. You can find me on Instagram at @act_therapy_pgh.

You never quite felt like you fit into this world, never checked off the boxes you were forced into, but you still strive to make a difference. Maybe you relate with being a geek, nerd, misfit, or gamer. I love to work with those who want help creating their own life, their own identity. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent, or the misfit community, I’d love to help you rewrite your story to make it your own. And feel free to unmask yourself, you’re accepted here. I am a warm and welcoming therapist, but I won’t sugarcoat things for you. I’m blunt and will call you out, but I’ll always remain on your side. I meet you where you’re at, whether that’s discovering your identity or diving into deep trauma work. I use a humanist approach, with touches of somatic and strength-based modalities.

You’re feeling like you’re barely holding your life together, and you’re tired of pretending you’re okay. Maybe you’re a little quirky, a little artistic, but you’ve always felt like something was “off” and you never quite fit in. Yeah, all of that is exhausting. I want you to find real joy in your life, whatever that looks like for you. I love working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, those who might be a little neurospicy, and others who just want to explore their identity more. You won’t have to spend the first 3 sessions worrying if you’re going to be accepted, you already are. My style is eclectic and I’m always willing to meet you where you’re at in your healing. I like to focus on gentle guiding and building tools. I enjoy following where you want to lead, side quests and all! Don’t worry, if I notice we’re avoiding something, I will circle back to it. I’m friendly, accepting, and a little silly (with a dark sense of humor). I love laughing at the absurdity of life! I want to go into the hard, messy, and weird stuff with you. I want you to understand yourself and reframe your narrative. I know admitting you’re not okay feels scary, but I’d love to be with you, looking underneath everything that has been piled on top of you.

College is a lot — and if you're juggling classes, a social life, and a brain that won't cooperate, you don't need a six-month waitlist on top of it. Little Dove Psychology is a fully virtual practice for college students. Two things we do differently: if you've always wondered whether you have ADHD, we complete comprehensive virtual ADHD evaluations in under a month — including the documentation you need for academic accommodations. And our individual therapy sessions fit an actual student schedule, with evening and weekend appointments, all from your dorm, apartment, or parked car between classes. I'm Dr. Meghan, a licensed psychologist who loves working with teens and young adults. We use approaches with real evidence behind them (CBT, ACT, DBT skills) for the things students actually deal with: anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination that's really something deeper, homesickness, relationships, and figuring out who you are. No judgment, no lectures — just practical help from someone who gets it. Your therapy doesn't have to end when the semester does. Through PsyPact licensure, we can see you in most U.S. states — so if you head home for winter break, spend the summer out of state, or study away from campus, your sessions continue without interruption or starting over with someone new. Currently accepting new clients — reach out and we'll usually have you scheduled within days.

I work well with students who are functioning on the outside and struggling underneath. You're turning things in, you're showing up, and nobody around you would guess how much effort that costs. The anxiety runs constantly in the background. Or you're stuck in loops, checking, redoing, needing something to feel right before you can move on, and you've never said it out loud to anyone because it sounds strange. I also see students who have reorganized their lives around avoiding one or more things: heights, a needle, a flight, an elevator, driving, insects, throwing up, speaking in front of people. It's manageable until it isn't, and then it starts costing you. And I work with students who have spent years wondering why school takes them so much longer than it seems to take everyone else. I do testing for ADHD and learning differences, which means an actual answer instead of another semester of guessing. Therapy is on video across Pennsylvania or in person in Wexford. Testing is in person. I'm currently accepting new students.

Most of the students I see come in with a question they've been carrying for years. Why does reading take you three times as long as it seems to take everyone else? Why can you focus for six hours on the thing you care about and not fifteen minutes on the thing that's due? Why did school get harder the moment nobody was structuring your day for you? I do psychological and psychoeducational testing, mostly for ADHD, Autism, Neurodivergence, and learning differences. It's a few sessions of structured tasks, not a quiz you can fail, and at the end you get a written report explaining how your brain actually works, plus recommendations you can take to your disability services office. For a lot of students the relief isn't the accommodations. It's finally having an explanation that isn't "you're not trying hard enough." I also see a smaller number of students for therapy, usually around anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and family expectations. Testing is done in person in Wexford. Initial intake and follow-up appointments can be done online if you are located in Pennsylvania. Therapy is on video across Pennsylvania or in person. I'm currently accepting new students.

College can be an exciting and rewarding time, but it also comes with high expectations, stress, and many transitions along the way. From adjusting to campus life and building independence to navigating relationships, academics, and eventually entering the career world, each stage can bring its own challenges. When things feel overwhelming, talking with a therapist can provide support in exploring strategies to manage stress, build healthy boundaries, and navigate these transitions with greater confidence from both on campus and beyond.

College can be an exciting, fun, and rewarding time, but life doesn’t always go according to plan. We can’t always prepare for when trauma or unexpected experiences may impact us, and navigating those experiences while balancing college life can feel overwhelming. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space to help you process your experiences, understand how trauma may be affecting you, and learn effective tools to work through it. You don’t have to navigate it alone as you heal, grow, and continue moving forward.

College comes with a lot to juggle, including classes, deadlines, relationships, and figuring out what comes next. If ADHD or OCD is making it harder to manage it all, therapy can help. As a therapist specializing in ADHD and OCD, I help college students better understand their patterns, build practical tools, and feel more confident navigating college life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and ERP, tailoring the therapeutic approach to best fit your needs, strengths, and goals. Together, we can find the tools and approach that work best for you and help you move toward the goals you want to achieve.

My approach combines various modalities and I will utilize the style that best meets the needs of my client and then tailor the therapy as trust is built. While I am warm and empathetic, I will also challenge each client's belief system, as change will not occur without learning newer, positive ways of thinking. I believe this journey continues between sessions and I will often give ""homework"" when appropriate. I value the therapeutic relationship and believe that change will occur when a client feels safe, supported, and heard. I believe that everyone experiences some hardships in life and they have the potential to overcome their barriers and even achieve breakthroughs. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where people can share their pain, feel understood, heard, and empowered, as well as find the right way to get through the difficult times in their lives. I think a trusting and consistent relationship is very important in healing, so I respect the uniqueness and differences of each individual and I use therapy interventions based on individual's needs.
