I am a Licensed Therapist in private practice, providing individual and couples therapy across Texas through secure telehealth. My specialties include helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, anger, infidelity, trauma, and relationship challenges. I also work with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional intimacy using research-based methods such as the Gottman Method. While faith is not a requirement for therapy, I welcome clients who would like their Christian values to be integrated into the counseling process. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on equipping clients with practical tools to create lasting change in their personal and relational lives.

I have a passion for working with youth who are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, substance use, and other mental health issues. I'm specifically honored to serve LGBTQiA+ folks as a proud member of the queer community myself. I love helping anyone tap into their autonomy, self-love, find their strengths, and accomplish their goals. I practice harm reduction, which helps people determine how to do what they want to do (whether that be coming out as transgender or non-binary, building community, sexual exploration, drug use, etc.) to their own level of comfort and safety at their own pace. I provide a collaborative and open approach to therapy without any judgement. You are in the driver's seat and determine what the destination is. I'm just in the passenger's seat with a stack of maps, helping you find your path.

We are not biologically wired to cope with life alone. Even if we are not "alone" sometimes the ones we love lack the ability to fully support or understand us. Even if they may be a solid part of our support system. This is where therapy comes in. I specialize in guiding individuals through the intricate terrain of strong emotions. I have completed extensive training and research on healing strategies targeted for those trying to heal from adverse life experiences, trauma, ptsd, c-ptsd (attatchment/early childhood wounds) anxiety, depression, anger, and borderline personality disorder. **Treatment Modalities:** I am trained in EMDR, designed to reduce emotional distress due to traumatic life experiences. I also have special training in its use for helping those with borderline personality disorder and early childhood wounds, and anxiety-related issues. EMDR is considered a first-line treatment for trauma and has been shown to reduce emotional distress and accelerate the healing process. In addition, I use cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which has similar aims through different treatment techniques. Somatic (mind-body) techniques are also incorporated throughout the treatment process. We can talk about what will be the best fit for you. I also incorporate dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) skills for emotion regulation to tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, and anger. My clients will have take-home strategies that they can use outside of therapy. If you think we would be a good fit, I can be reached by call, text, or email.

Have you ever felt like you're accomplishing everything but still feel unfulfilled or unsatisfied? Do you give so much of yourself to others that little is left for you at the end of the day? Feeling stressed and overwhelmed with the day to day basics and requirements? It just might be time to take a deeper look. I’m Tiana Welch, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, providing telehealth therapy for teens and young adult/adult women. I am a therapist with 13 years experience who recently relocated to Maryland. I have specialized my work in the medical setting with those with chronic illnesses and have also cared for many in the LGBTQI+ community. I enjoy providing counseling to pre-teens, teens and young adults. I have had the privilege to witness the most vulnerable moments with my clients and then observe their growth, healing, and evolution. I would be honored to play a role in your journey too. The idea of therapy is challenging for some. I focus on meeting my clients at their comfort level and prioritize their personal goals and needs. I utilize evidence-based modalities: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Both of these examine the connections between thoughts, feelings and actions to help individuals make changes in their life. I also have training in: Emotional Freedom Technique, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems I believe that counseling should capitalize on the client’s creativity, imagination, and interests. Therefore, I often encourage artistic expression and the use of physical movement to address depressive symptoms, anxiety, and the challenges of grief and loss. Let’s work together to tailor an approach based upon your unique strengths and areas of need. I am only self-pay at this time. I am in the process of being paneled with Carefirst/BCBS (PPO, POS, HMO and Federal plans) and Johns Hopkins Hospital EHP (However, if you have a different insurance plan and it offers out-of-network benefits, you should receive some.)

**Accepting clients who reside in Georgia or Texas.** Having worked on college campuses in admissions, academic advising, and career counseling, I love working with college-age students and the unique stressors that this season of life can bring upon them. When I meet with young adults, I often hear comments like, “I’m overwhelmed and stressed, and I just can’t get out of my own head” or “This situation or this challenging relationship is leaving me frustrated and stuck, and I don’t know what to do about it.” Navigating relationships with others can be challenging when we are confused about what we can control in the situation. I know because I, too, have struggled with how to handle difficult people and difficult relationships in my life. This means that you are not alone in the challenges that you may be facing right now. I'd love to work with you through this difficult season. I also provide Career Exploration Coaching for clients who are looking for extra support on decision-making for choices of major/minor or potential career paths that fit them best. I'd love to help you through this process.
