Hi! My main goal is always to help my clients to help themselves, so you feel empowered to embrace stress and change as it comes. With experience working in an eating disorder hospital and 7 years working as a therapist in the Athletic Depts at UT Austin and CU Boulder, I've been involved with supporting my clients through the life challenges that high schoolers, young adults, and adults face for my entire professional career. I am EMDR certified and use this to treat trauma, eating disorders, chronic pain, urges in addiction/EDs, and sport performance (both positive reinforcement as well as treating mental blocks). I particularly enjoy teaching tools for navigating anxiety and depressive symptoms, helping to make peace with body image, and supporting mental performance for sport. I also have a passion for supporting perfectionists to expand their view of themselves and learn to release a little of the control that is actually controlling them!

College can feel overwhelming. Many of the students I work with are dealing with anxiety, academic pressure, burnout, relationship stress, or uncertainty about their future. I work best with students who feel stuck, overthinking everything, or constantly stressed but still trying to hold it all together. Whether you’re struggling with motivation, confidence, major decisions, or the pressure to figure out your direction, therapy can help you regain clarity and control. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on real-life tools you can use right away. We’ll work together to manage anxiety, improve coping skills, and create a clear path forward. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a school counselor helping students navigate academic stress, mental health challenges, and major life decisions. I also have experience working with student veterans and individuals adjusting to major life transitions. If you’re looking for a therapist who is easy to talk to and focused on real progress, I’d be glad to connect. Insurance is accepted through Headway and SonderMind. Please contact me to verify your specific plan and coverage.

I am Alexandra Patricia (Tricia) Adams, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (LPC-A), supervised by April West, LPC-S. I am located in Grand Prairie, Texas, between Dallas and Ft. Worth, and can work with clients throughout the entire state of Texas. I obtained my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I also hold a Master of Arts degree in English – Technical Writing. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University. I specialize in individual, couples, and group therapy, and practice within several treatment areas. I was born in Dallas and raised in Quitman, located in East Texas. I began my career as a medical assistant and have been an allied health professional for over forty-five years. I spent twenty years of my career as a medical assisting instructor, and another twenty years as the author of Kinn’s: The Administrative Medical Assistant and co-author of Kinn’s: The Medical Assistant. I have authored four editions of both textbooks. This project totaled sixteen texts, including student study workbooks, instructor resource books, test banks, lectures/presentations, and procedure guidelines. I believe that anyone can benefit from the counseling process. It is my hope that my clients will grow through this process and live happier lives. According to the American Psychological Association, mental health therapy can help a person going through a challenging life event or situation, treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, and address symptoms like sadness, guilt, or anger. The process is also helpful when dealing with relationships with family, friends, and coworkers. I work with adults and adolescents, as well as couples and groups. I have found a niche working with first responders experiencing moral injury, generational trauma and estrangement, adoption, abortion, and miscarriage issues, chronic pain, DNA testing matters, grief, loss, and suicide prevention, intimacy issues, legal/offender issues, overcoming church hurt or past abuse, parental alienation, sexual assault/rape, and low self-esteem and self-confidence. I would be honored to work with you as you begin to live your best life. Counseling can help you as you confront long-standing life issues, or specific concerns that need to be addressed. The length of counseling can range from several weeks to several months, depending on the number of issues that will be discussed. Contact me for a complementary consultation and take the step forward to a richer, more rewarding future.

College is supposed to be an exciting time, but sometimes it just feels like a lot of pressure. Between keeping up with classes, balancing relationships, and trying to meet everyone’s expectations, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in your own head. I help college students navigate anxiety, academic pressure, relationship stress, and uncertainty about what comes next. Therapy with me isn’t just talking about your feelings, and it’s not about being told what you should do. It’s a collaborative process where we make sense of what’s going on, look at the patterns that keep showing up, and figure out what’s driving them so they don’t keep running the show. Together, we’ll work toward goals that matter to you and find practical ways to approach your thoughts, decisions, and relationships differently. Over time, you can develop more confidence in yourself, a clearer sense of direction, and tools for handling whatever comes your way.

Hi, I’m Regina (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent therapist who believes healing happens in spaces where you’re truly seen and affirmed. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a healthy dose of irreverence into the therapy room, and I deeply value the trust it takes to show up authentically—especially when the world hasn’t always made space for who you are. I primarily work with women and nonbinary adults—especially those who are late-diagnosed neurodivergent, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or navigating non-traditional relationships (like ENM or kink). If you're untangling trauma, questioning your place in a society that often feels hostile or broken, or working to rebuild self-worth in a neurotypical, cis-hetero world—you’re in the right place. My approach is eclectic and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all mold. This work isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about reconnecting with your values, making meaning, and feeling more at home in your own mind and body. If you’re looking for a therapist who affirms your identity, respects your complexity, and understands what it means to feel like an outsider—I’d be honored to walk with you. Schedule a free consultation so we can chat about whether I’d be a good fit.

Anxiety, trauma, and childhood wounds don’t just disappear. They sneak into daily life and make things feel heavier, even when nothing seems wrong. I work with teens and adults, often helping people whose feelings weren’t fully seen or supported growing up. Anxiety and trauma can show up as overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or that constant “something’s off” feeling. I take a warm, trauma-informed approach, moving at your pace so you can feel grounded, seen, and in charge of your life. I help teens and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and childhood wounds using EMDR, Parts Work, somatic techniques, and CBT. Together we build coping skills, process difficult memories, and work toward healing. Therapy can be intense, but we also laugh, roll our eyes at anxiety, and celebrate small wins along the way. I help you care for the inner child you once needed, challenge the beliefs feeding anxiety, and rebuild self-worth. It’s okay if it’s messy, we will work through it together. Step by step, we’ll create space for calm, clarity, and connection. Reach out for a free consultation and let’s get started.

The cause could be past unresolved trauma that is blocking your ability to move forward. Trauma changes the nervous system and brain; therefore, treatment needs to be able to address the body and mind. I am certified in EMDR treatment and provide a safe space for processing traumatic memories or disturbing life events. Monica is a bilingual therapist and the child of immigrants who believes that true healing grows from the threads that connect us — to our bodies, to the people around us, and to the world we inhabit. Growing up between cultures, she learned early how identity, language, and community shape our sense of self. Her journey to counseling has been shaped not only by professional experience in diverse communities and holistic mind-body practices, but also by years of personal self-healing and self-discovery through reading, reflection, and engagement with feminist theory and history. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how gender, power, and society influence our inner lives and relationships. She works with women and femmes who have ADHD and has a nuanced understanding of how gender shapes ADHD lived experiences. Monica provides compassionate support for the unique challenges and strengths ADHD brings, helping clients navigate identity, relationships, and self-trust with insight and validation. In working with Monica, clients will learn about themselves and ways to leverage their neurodiversity to their benefit, allowing it to enhance their lives rather than hinder them. Monica is also passionate about supporting women in reclaiming their sensuality, self-trust, and pleasure, particularly in the wake of trauma. Her work in this area integrates conversation, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and embodiment practices, including yoga. By creating a safe and affirming space where clients can explore intimacy, desire, boundaries, and identity without shame, the therapeutic space allows clients to heal, reconnect, and embody their true sensual power. Through therapy, Monica guides clients to reconnect with themselves fully. In connecting to their bodies, minds, desires, and voices, clients can cultivate lives that feel grounded, empowered, and authentically their own.
