I’m a licensed psychotherapist and consultant specializing in individual and couples therapy. My work focuses on helping people heal from trauma, childhood wounding, attachment injuries, and relational challenges. I believe therapy should be a safe, inclusive, and affirming space—one where every part of you is welcome. In our work together, we’ll gently explore the parts of you that feel difficult to access or understand. Over time, we’ll uncover the internal patterns and protective walls that may have once helped you survive—but are now holding you back from connection, growth, and ease. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating the ongoing effects of painful life experiences, or are beginning to notice how their resistance to vulnerability might be limiting deeper relationships. My goal is to help you feel supported in doing this brave work. Therapy can be challenging, but I strive to make it less overwhelming, more grounded, and deeply human. I draw from a blend of evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies to support healing and long-term change. These include: Internal Family Systems (IFS) – to help you connect with and care for your inner parts Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – a research-supported method for processing trauma and distressing life experiences Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – to strengthen emotional bonds and resolve conflict in couples I tailor our work to your unique needs—whether you're seeking to recover from trauma, build more fulfilling relationships, or simply get to know yourself on a deeper level. If you’re ready to begin—or even just curious—I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process. Call (408) 800-7305 to get started!

Supporting all phases of life in a culturally sensitive manner
I am a psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings. I received my psychotherapy training at the San Francisco State University and graduated in 2012. After working at a private counseling center for 6 years, I opened my private practice in 2018 as a licensed marriage and family therapist. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults and Asian adults. My areas of interests include gay/lesbian and gender issues, sexuality. I have history of interest in issues of race and culture and their intersection with psychoanalysis.
Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Previously, I worked at San Diego State University, California State University Long Beach, Loyola Marymount University, and Metropolitan State University of Denver. I specialize in working with students to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I enjoy helping students develop greater self-understanding, explore aspects of their identity, and better relate in relationships.
Meaningful relationships are an essential part of fulfillment and happiness. I believe in the unique power of the relationship that develops between therapist and client. Through an exploration of this interaction, we can more wholly understand your past and current relationships and help shape future experiences. I work with people who are struggling in a variety of ways and are ready to dig in and do some difficult and deeply powerful work that will lead to greater choice and freedom. I view my opportunity to join individuals in their journey toward self-understanding as a great privilege and find the work exciting and gratifying. I am committed to working with culturally diverse individuals, couples, and families from every walk of life. While much of my experience has been centered on work within the LGBTQ community, I strive to create an open and affirmative space for all. I am particularly effective working with adults, young adults, and adolescents. Through my training at Stanford University and University of Chicago, I feel uniquely capable in addressing issues surrounding identity, work, and school. I provide individual, couple, and family psychotherapy at my office in Hayes Valley.
Are you stressed out and overwhelmed? Losing sight of your goals? Are 'old issues' getting in the way of moving forward? I care about "what happened to you" and I strive to provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns. Effective work can result in your improved ability to function and to pursue your best life. I offer acceptance without judgment, practical tools, constructive education and a conviction that you are capable! I do accept some insurance (Aetna and United Health) via Alma. Please contact me and I can walk you through the simple process. My approach is wellness-focused and is best suited for those who are not in crisis and who are ready to engage in deeper work. Developing increased self-compassion, radical acceptance and understanding about how we humans use self-blame to survive can help you move beyond the effects of trauma. I have a special interest in supporting persons who have been members of cults or high-control groups. These may be religious, psychological, treatment oriented or other. I offer online sessions via Zoom and some flexibility in my schedule (other than what is posted).
Each person comes to therapy for unique and personal reasons. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or undervalued in your relationships or career choices. You might be very good at taking care of others, but don’t pay as much attention to yourself. You may not fit into conventional categories with how you identify, or how others relate to you. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who empowers folks like you to connect to their authentic selves and make meaningful changes in their life. I frequently work with graduate students, and specialize in working with underrepresented communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, creative thinkers, artists and activists. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, races, faiths, and abilities.
Hello! I'm a wellness-based therapist drawing from many modalities to provide a space that feels caring, and safe for growth and change. Some issues I treat frequently are: anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem/self-worth, anger and communication struggles, difficulty regulating emotions, dating/relationship issues, substance abuse. Please feel free to reach out to ask any further questions about my practice, or to see if we're a good fit! ***Please note that I have availability outside of the listed times for remote sessions***
Do you feel like something is wrong with you? Are you wishing you could just "stop"? Do you always feel like adults don't understand? My practice is based around what happened to us, not what is wrong with us. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, interactive and fun space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to meet your goals. Together we will learn, build on your strengths, and celebrate your wins. I am here to support & guide you through this process, together.
Growing up and moving through life brings challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience, I provide individual therapy, parent coaching, and family support. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins in safe, trusting relationships, where clients can explore experiences, gain perspective, and discover new ways of coping and connecting. Therapy is about connection, and I believe it works best when it feels genuine and collaborative. My style is warm, approachable, and flexible—I meet you where you are and tailor our work to what feels most helpful. My goal is to help you feel understood and empowered as you navigate your journey. In sessions, you’ll have the chance to explore what’s on your mind and make sense of challenges. Together, we may uncover patterns, develop coping strategies, or find new perspectives that bring clarity and ease. Over time, many clients leave feeling more grounded, confident, and connected—to themselves and others
Very often feels that if one area of your life is going well, another takes a nose dive. Often the clients I work with are determined, successful and focused but still, something feels like it is not correctly aligned. Many of my clients struggle with relationships, feeling comfortable with others, anxiety and depression. College is a formative time but can very often feel that you are alone trying to figure everything out: what do I want to do? How do I separate what I want from what my parents, friends, professors or peers want? Do I feel ready to be an "adult?" Therapy can help you figure out who you are and where you want to go. Most importantly, meeting with a therapist can help you make sense of it all.
If you've experienced frustration and anxiety, you might wonder whether it's always going to be like this. Life doesn't have to be this way anymore. I've developed helpful tools and resources to help you experience relief and work toward healing. I walk you step-by-step through practical approaches to regaining confidence in yourself and relationships around you. I offer therapy in person in Irvine, CA and also through a convenient online format to residents in California. Coaching sessions are available for international client's. My website can address any questions you might have, or you can call or email me to schedule a free initial consultation.

Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. Well done on the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. I look forward to collaborating. I have training and experience in working with trauma, family of origin/generational cycles, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, sex work and with LGBTQAI+ persons. I love working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I am Level I Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy trained. I enjoy working with and understanding folx from their perspective; I work with singles, couples, non-monogamous consensual relationships and families. I provide a safe, unassuming space in which you can find felt safety. I appreciate the eclectic person you are and would like to help you identify your own cracks, so that you can let your own light in. Feeling lost, anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, alone? Figuring out how you feel, what you want, or who you are is just plain difficult, especially in the world we're living in now. Add to that a difficult personal history and doing 'well' can feel nearly impossible. You don't have to carry this all on your own. I became a therapist through my work in the arts and teaching meditation. I help clients develop a healthy inner life, relate to others deeply, and find meaning in their lives. My approach is relational, psychodynamic, Buddhist-based, and creative. My specialties include relationship issues, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and existential dilemmas. I work with individual adults, couples, and facilitate interpersonal process groups. If you’re struggling with relationship issues: connecting with yourself or with others, experiencing grief, anxiety, or depression, or suffering through an existential dilemma, please reach out.
