I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with classes and social demands? Working through a relationship or family conflict? Hoping to build up confidence but not sure how? It’s understandable and normal that we might need help working through life’s challenges. It’s my goal to offer support and compassion as you navigate these challenges in hopes of creating a better and deeper understanding of yourself. I believe that through this understanding of yourself comes healing, growth, and an ability to identify and express your emotions. I want to help you find confidence, peace, and self-compassion. My specialties include college-aged women and post-college twenty-somethings entering the workforce. Women and young adults face unique experiences and I'm passionate about helping navigate them. Family systems therapy and attachment theory are the pillars of my work. I also use a trauma informed approach, person-centered therapy, and CBT. I approach my work with curiosity, humility, and humor (sometimes we just need to laugh a little). My goal is to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe and empowered to express your thoughts and feelings. Through a collaborative approach, I strive to create a compassionate and sincere therapeutic relationship.

College should be about growth, not just survival. If you're struggling with unpredictable mood swings, overwhelming worry, lots of sadness, or using substances to cope, or climate anxiety, I'm here for you. I work best with students who experience intense emotional ups and downs, find themselves caught in cycles of productivity followed by inability to function, or use alcohol or other substances to manage difficult feelings and thoughts, or those who are preoccupied with climate-related grief or anxiety. I offer a space where you don't need to hide your challenges or pretend to have it all together. We'll focus on getting to know each other, creating a safe space to open up, and increasing coping strategies, such as recognizing early warning signs, building supportive routines, navigating academic pressures, developing genuine connections without relying on substances, and handling the climate crisis with more ease. Whether you're facing mood swings, anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, climate distress, or all of these, there's a path forward. Reach out today to take the first step towards change, growth and stability.

You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. Hey there! I am so glad you're here. When I was growing up, I quickly learned that there were few places I could be truly myself and accepted just as I am. As a therapist, I've discovered many of us share that same story. We learn to conform and perform in response to the pressure of our world telling us who to be, and we are left confused, ashamed, and exhausted when it becomes too much to maintain as adults. In my work with clients, I offer space for you to be exactly who you are, wherever you're at, so that together, we can discover a life that feels good and enjoyable to live, based on your most authentic values and desires. In my practice, I work with members of the LGBTQ+ community, those struggling with body image and disordered eating, survivors of bullying, and folks wrestling with religious trauma. Together, we will explore your unique goals, the pain and behaviors that may be holding you back, and how to create satisfying relationships, both with others and yourself. It is a brave first step to reach out for support when you need it, especially when life feels difficult, and I would be honored to hear your story and explore working with you toward a greater sense of worth and hope. You can contact me through my website or via phone call/ text, and I will respond in 1-2 business days. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey! My name is Erin Zabel and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with five years experience in the mental health field. I became interested in psychology around the age of ten when a key individual in my life suddenly passed away. I learned firsthand the effects of grief and loss, and how to persevere through the emotional rollercoaster. I am a compassionate, empathetic professional who strives to provide those with a safe space to share their vulnerabilities. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, therefore I cater to what is most suitable for the client. I tend to work with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, and interpersonal conflict; to name a few. Please feel free to reach out if you’re struggling with any of these, and we can work together towards a life of relief, acceptance and freedom!

A need to always look put-together and strong can be destructive and exhausting. It seems like the harder you try, the harder it gets. The pressure to appear “all good” invalidates the emotions we all experience as human beings. Living in a culture of toxic positivity only reinforces the idea that negative thoughts and feelings are somehow inherently unhealthy. In therapy, outdated notions are challenged and you will not be invalidated for feeling…anything. Many of my clients have internalized beliefs about who they should and shouldn’t be- and most of these beliefs are false. Therapy is a non-judgmental space where you can truly express yourself without fear of being judged or shamed. Many of the clients I work with identify with being anxious, perfectionists who want better relationships. I also work with adults who know or think they may be on the autism spectrum. Overall, therapy can be great tool to get a better grip on life as well as for treating a specific diagnosis.. Whatever your background, your struggles, your ambitions, we will work together. Feeling better is within reach.
