I'm Mary. I have been working in the field of mental health for 13 years. I worked 10 of the 13 years primarily in the residential treatment sector with teenagers and have loads of experience working with teens and young adults. I also have worked with children ages 3 and up, along with adults. Although I have experience with all diagnosis, my specialties include post traumatic stress disorder and grief. I also have worked extensively with clients who are neurotypical including ADHD and autism. Let's connect and see if we would be a good fit to work together.
I believe in a therapeutic process that is collaborative and flexible — meeting my clients where they are to foster meaningful growth and change. I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and honest reflection to create a non-judgmental space for self-exploration. I am passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing emotional struggles, low self-esteem, transitional issues, and attachment injuries. My aim is to collaboratively help you understand patterns in which you feel stuck, find relief from narratives that are no longer yours, and learn how to move towards your goals. I am a graduate of Columbia’s School of Social Work and have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I am intensively trained in working with body image issues and disordered eating. My style is warm, genuine, and non-judgmental while providing transparent feedback throughout the therapeutic process to maximize emotional growth and healing. I work as a supportive and collaborative partner with each of my clients to find and achieve long-term solutions.
The clients that I typically work with come from diverse backgrounds and present with an array of concerns, including but certainly not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relational dynamics, infidelity, parenting changes, nontraditional family styles, LGBTQ+, kink, polyamory, non-monogamous relationships, marginalized populations, underserved populations, and the list continues. No matter what brings you to therapy, if this is your first or fourth time, healing is always possible, and you can enact change in your life. No matter what brings you to therapy, healing is always possible.
Kaitlin Boyd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Yoga Teacher. She specializes in helping teens and adults who are struggling with worry and sadness and want to learn how to confidently embody their authentic selves. Many of her clients are Empaths or Highly Sensitive People--they crave "more" out of life and are seekers with big questions about how to create a life worth living. They have a multitude of strengths, including the ability to feel deep compassion for others and to think critically about the world we live in. But they can also struggle with feeling misunderstood and can develop low self-confidence after focusing so much of their time and attention on others. In therapy, Kaitlin works to help clients express their true selves and find inner peace. Her approach is holistic and evidence-based, using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Existential Therapy. She teaches skills to help clients cope and relate to others in healthy ways, as well as mindfulness to get in touch with the "root cause" of clients' suffering, which can be anything from an unhelpful thought pattern to an unexpressed emotion. Kaitlin welcomes a diversity of clientele and provides a safe space for clients interested in exploring their experience of oppression in the multitude of ways it manifests in our culture. Kaitlin offers the flexibility of remote online therapy sessions.

There's something different about you. Maybe you're figuring out what sexuality, gender, and romantic life can look like, or exploring polyamory or kink. Maybe you're a plural system. Or maybe your life has been changed by traumatic experiences. You may view the world through a neurotype or spiritual lens that doesn’t match the people around you. It might be really hard to trust people--to risk opening up about what you're dealing with. I get it. It’s hard to know who actually has your back. And trying to find the right counselor when you're already struggling with so much can feel impossible. That's where I come in. My job is to listen--to get to know you and help you shape your life into what *you* want it to be. As your therapist, I'll help you work toward the life you want, based on your specific situation and needs. I won't blame you, or try to change you in ways that you don't want, or force you to talk about things that are too hard. You might feel overwhelmed, but you've made it this far. You're taking steps toward feeling better--feeling okay. I know you're in pain, and I believe you're doing your best. But when things aren't working, you don't have to try to figure it all out alone. Send me an email, or a text, or a phone call. We can figure it out from here, together.
Navigating today’s world can feel overwhelming, filled with constant change, pressure, and uncertainty—often beyond our control. Whether you're feeling weighed down by the past, overwhelmed by daily life, or struggling to bridge generational or interpersonal gaps, you don’t have to face it alone. I believe healing begins not only with safety and understanding, but also by recognizing the strengths you already carry. Learning to work with your mind, rather than against it, can be a powerful first step. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and those navigating the complexities of ADHD. My approach is multifaceted, I use different approaches depending on what you need, offering a compassionate space to explore your experiences and build meaningful tools for growth. I'm not here to judge or be shaken by your story. As a trauma-trained therapist, I offer a grounded, supportive space to process, heal, and grow. If you're seeking better understanding of yourself, peace with the past, or tools to navigate life, let’s connect for a consultation and take the next step together!
Are you someone who is struggling with life in college? Perhaps you're in your first semester and you are feeling overwhelmed and lonely with all the changes that have taken place. Maybe you are well into your college career but you are feeling confused about the path that you've chosen to take. Regardless of where you find yourself, I am here to help. I have been working as a therapist for over 8 years and have helped many people through depression, anxiety, addiction, stress management, family issues and more. I want to help you be the person that you are wanting to be. It is never an easy journey to work on yourself, but it is undoubtedly a worthwhile one.
I was born and raised in Rockford, Ill. before moving to Columbia, Mo. to attend the University of Missouri. I graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism and moved to Rogers, Ark. where I worked as an editor and designer for Celebrate Arkansas Magazine. I fell in love with Northwest Arkansas and stayed in the area to attend graduate school at the University of Arkansas. I earned a Masters of Science in Counseling in 2015 and opened a small practice in 2016. I relocated to Denver, Colorado in 2020. I decided to become a counselor because -- most simply put -- I believe in counseling. Throughout my own counseling work I have come to see the value in sitting across from another person and allowing them to see all of me—my fears, my doubts, my shame, my joy, my hurt. I find author and researcher Brene´ Brown sums it up best: “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
Hello, my name is Blake. I’m passionate about connecting with individuals who are navigating complexities in life, particularly those who may be feeling overwhelmed or struggling in silence. In a world that often portrays an idealized version of success and happiness on social media, it’s crucial to acknowledge the realities many face behind the scenes. Sometimes, we feel lost inside our own bodies. Life can become a whirlwind, leaving us feeling like we’re falling behind or that certain aspects of our lives are lacking. I am committed to fostering a supportive, trauma-informed environment where these conversations can take place. I have found success in using several modalities in treatment such as CBT, DBT, and ACT to fully foster a connection to therapeutic success. I invite you to reach out and connect with me. Let’s navigate this journey together, one step at a time.

I believe that therapy can help us to move toward greater self-understanding, empowerment, and fulfillment. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic space in which you and I can collaboratively process through thoughts, feelings, and experiences with openness and compassion. So often societal messages and stigmas can cause us to view our behaviors with shame and judgment, which can lead us to feel even more stuck. My goal is to support you in slowing down, shifting toward curiosity and compassion, and feeling empowered to make the changes that you seek. Originally from Chicago, I moved to Colorado to pursue my Master’s at the University of Denver, which confirmed my passion for social work. Before opening my private practice, I worked extensively with survivors of intimate partner abuse, individuals in recovery and couples in crisis. This experience provided me with deep expertise in attachment therapy and reinforced the vital importance of trauma-informed care. My background has shaped a clinical approach rooted in curiosity and a drive to understand the motivations behind actions. This perspective allows me to serve my clients through relational lens, focusing on meaningful connection and growth. If you choose to work with me, you will find a collaborative environment defined by non-judgment and openness. Regardless of your goals, your identities, or where you are in your journey, it would be my honor to support you and your loved ones. I look forward to being your advocate as we work together to reach your goals.
