Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
We are all a product of our stories— the good, the bad, and everything between. Many times, we aren’t aware of how rooted we are in past beliefs and relationship narratives or how deeply they’ve impacted our current choices and decisions. Therapy allows us to uncover the different sides of ourselves, to unlearn unhelpful beliefs and to emphasize positive ones. Together, we can create a collaborative environment that will help you gain a greater sense of self-awareness and self-esteem. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and PTSD with a range of modalities including EMDR and IFS. Focused on college students and adults. My therapeutic approach has been described as warm, positive, and creative. My intuitive and down-to-earth approach paired with my clinical expertise will create a foundation for you to feel safe and seen, listened to and understood. We’ll work together to get you on a path toward renewal and the understanding of self. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach. I get to know each of my clients individually to devise a plan that will best work for them. Currently, I am located in Bozeman, Montana and am dually licensed in Montana and Colorado and see individuals via telehealth. I look forward to connecting with you!
Can You Relate? As a teen, you feel lost, broken, misunderstood, unseen and unheard. You don’t know why it has to be so hard. You look around and desire the relationships, confidence and life that other people seem to have so easily. You’re worried about what other people think and can’t seem to get out in your head. As a young adult, you search for independence, but feel overwhelmed with all the “adulting”. There are so many transitions to manage and questions you can’t answer just yet. You want to address the things that do not feel quite right, so you can create the best version of yourself and thrive. Im a firm believer that your struggles do not define you. You come with a unique set of beliefs and experiences that shape the way you show up with yourself and the world. I welcome all my clients to show up to our space exactly as they are, and I promise to do the same. As I often find myself pushing back on traditional ways of thinking about approaches to mental health and wellness, I embrace the unconventional and seek to find out-of-the-box and cutting edge solutions that align with your values, strengths and goals. I don’t treat problems — I partner with you. Together, we will build a connected and balanced life free of the limitations you currently feel and experience. I’m excited to get to know you! I’m even more excited for you to get to know yourself in new, life-changing ways. Throughout our time together, we will look at all the not-so-fun parts of you and the not-yet-understood parts. Most importantly, you’ll discover the very best parts of you that were always there, but perhaps got a bit lost as life got more complicated.
I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I am accepting new clients who live and/or attend school in Indiana, Colorado or any other state covered by psypact (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). If you’re a college student navigating stress, anxiety, academic pressures, or life transitions, you’re not alone. As a clinical psychologist working from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, I help young adults develop practical skills to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors more effectively. CBT is an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, or self-doubt, therapy can provide you with tools to build resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of well-being. College can be an exciting but overwhelming time. Let’s work together to create strategies that empower you to thrive.
Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
Hello! I’m Emily, A Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. My goal is to work to help others build healthy relationships in their personal and professional lives. Think of me as your self awareness gurue, family role interpreter and boundary builder. I work with Individuals as well as couples using the Gottman method. My goal is to help you discover yourself in new ways and bring awareness to themes in your life and how they relate to your family of origin. I have spent the last 10 years working on my craft to care for others and help break unhealthy cycles. I draw from CBT and TF-CBT strategies, DBT strategies, family systems, Gottman and relational psychodynamics to help others with anxiety, depression, processing loss and trauma, as well as, family conflict and relationship issues. I use DBT and client centered therapy techniques to help pay attention to your emotional experience, identify the role you play or played in your family that is still being played out in other relationships today. I help you find self acceptance in your own personality and build awareness of how that is impacted by others. Are you the middle man, the scapegoat, a leader, the avoider or the drama queen? No matter your role, you are enough! Let’s dive into how your role in your family unit contributes to unhealthy cycles that have happened in the past or happening now. I use reenactments in sessions, CBT and family systems strategies to bring awareness to how your role in their family may be contributing to unhealthy cycles. What is your “no” and what is your “yes”. Sometimes we don’t know what that is, but I’m here to help you figure it out. Together we can identify the boundaries that need to be created for a more healthy lifestyle and grieve the boundaries that did not exist in the past and learn how to have “repair moments”. I’m here to build up your self care and create coping skills that serve well in establishing healthy relationships.

I prioritize striking a balance between thoughtfulness and intentionality, while allowing space for ease and flow. I specialize in working with young adults and adults who are interested in exploring identity development, interpersonal relationship issues, and life transitions. You might be struggling in the most important relationships in your life, or trying to find a way out of feeling stagnant. Perhaps you have felt a pull to understand yourself more deeply. Through creating a safe and strong connection, we can be curious about these things together. In my graduate and post-graduate experience, I have primarily worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma across a variety of settings. While I am mainly relationally focused, I have experience with psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and behavioral approaches. By leaning towards authenticity, humor, and connection, I believe we can gain insight and create shifts in how we approach our life and our relationships. Therapy is a collaborative and creative relationship that can provide the opportunity to navigate this together.
I’m a self-talk specialist and I’ve been helping people for over 20 years transform their lives through the words they speak to themselves. My approach is very relational and welcoming. Ultimately, I help people create a healthy and loving relationship with themselves that impacts every aspect of their lives. I’d be happy to guide you through this process of healing and growth as well.
Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.
Are you Autistic and/or ADHD and struggling in a world not designed for your neurotype? Or do you suspect that you may be Autistic and/or ADHD and want to work with a down-to-earth neurodivergent psychologist to find out? Are you looking for a therapist who gets the struggle? I offer collaborative and neurodiversity-affirming assessment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the needs of Autistic and ADHD clients. Assessment may help you better understand yourself or your child. I offer neurodiversity-affirming Autism and ADHD assessments for all ages, and have a special interest in clients whose autism and/or ADHD are masked by other factors such as high cognitive and/or verbal ability, gender, race, age, or other psychiatric diagnoses. DBT may help you understand and manage your thoughts, feelings, and behavior to align with your goals. I offer DBT (group-only or comprehensive DBT) tailored to the needs of Autistic clients, and am currently co-authoring a manual for Guilford Press on tailoring DBT for the needs of Autistic clients.
