If you’re someone who lies awake at night replaying your entire day—going over conversations, decisions, and moments that felt harder than they “should” have—this might be for you. Many people who reach out to me say some version of, “I’ve always felt a little different. I can get things done, but it takes so much out of me. I overthink everything, I second-guess myself constantly, and I feel overwhelmed by seemingly small things” You might lose hours to indecision, get stuck in spirals of overthinking, or feel paralyzed. Often there’s a layer of self-criticism running underneath it all—wondering why it feels so much harder for you. You may relate to a lifetime of trying to keep up, mask, or push through. What once worked doesn’t anymore. Now it can look like burnout, emotional overwhelm, difficulty regulating your energy, or feeling like your nervous system is always “on.” On the outside, you may look high-functioning, capable, and like you’re managing well—but inside you’re worn out. Therapy isn’t about something being wrong. It’s about understanding how your mind works and finding support that actually fits. We can slow things down, make sense of what’s been overwhelming, and build more ease. I also offer nature-based therapy to help calm your nervous system and create space to think more clearly.
It's been some time since you felt like you. Have you noticed that you been withdrawn? Overwhelmed? Maybe you are noticing that your feelings of being down, sad, worried, or anxious just aren't going away. Maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, that your life is turned upside down, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. You've thought about reaching out for therapy, but you weren't sure. It's ok. We are here. Reach out today. We help you feel like you again. Through engaging in counseling we will assist you in accomplishing your goals. We believe that each of us encounters our own challenges in the course of creating a full life and that through partnering with a helping professional the path of improving your own wellness may be a bit brighter. We strongly believe in each individual’s capacity for growth and insight. Engaging in therapy with one of our therapists and starting (or continuing) your healing process, we believe you can develop and strengthen your own inner light and we hope to share in this process with you. As your collaborative partner, our clinicians will use their attuned listening skills, reflections, and specialized training to provide quality, individualized, and counseling and psychotherapy. Taking the first step towards change is never easy, but is often rewarding. When you are ready to take a step on a new path, let us be there to help you strengthen your own Bright Light. Our clinicians work with young adults, college students, and adults who are diverse in their identities, life experiences, and backgrounds. Areas of expertise include treating anxiety, depression, life transitions/adjustments, emotion regulation, traumas and stressful experiences, cultural and racial stress, and relationship issues. Additionally, each of our clinicians have their own areas of expertise. You can learn more about our clinicians on our website.
Transition. In one word, college comes with a lot of transition, a foot in two different worlds. Sometimes you just need someone to provide support and help you navigate these changes. Sometimes you've struggled with feelings like depression or anxiety for quite some time but maybe haven't had a name for it, thought everyone felt this way, or haven't had the opportunity to address it. Maybe you struggle with negative self-thoughts or have had life experiences that leave you struggling. These are some of the common challenges I've had the honor of addressing in my work with students.
I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.
I have over 25 years of experience working collaboratively with people navigating life transitions. My expertise includes managing anxiety, depression, job loss, parenting challenges, and adjusting to life changes. I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Psychodynamic Approaches to understand and help navigate your challenges.
For the past 20 years, my clinical focus has been helping people ages 10 and up who have identified depression, anxiety, life transitions and family issues as sources of stress in their life that they wish to work through. My clients come to me to reduce/eliminate their symptoms and regain their own definition of ideal functioning. I also support my clients through difficult life transitions and/or family issues. I am known in my community for working with adolescents and young adults at Purdue University.

We strive to create an environment where clients feel welcome, supported, and understood—starting from the very first session.
I specialize in individual therapy with young adults. I use a solution-focused approach which means that we will be spending less time talking about the history of problems that may be present in your life, and more time building solutions for the present and future. I am warm, open, and friendly and I genuinely love working with people. I have a deep respect for each person's ability to bring about desired change. I will listen to your therapy goals, build a trusting relationship with you, and ultimately help you progress toward greater happiness and health. Nobody comes to therapy without having tried some other things first. So, you already know a bit about what works for you and what doesn’t. And you know what you want your life to be like. Once we can shift our focus from “problems” and “past” to “solutions” and “future," all things are possible. I invite YOU to be my teacher. Teach me about your life, your goals, what works and doesn’t work for you. Teach me about your struggles, your fears, your hopes, and your successes. I will listen and absorb what you what you tell me. I will seek to understand. I will make connections and ponder and apply that new information.
