Hi there, I am so glad you’re here. Whether you're feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or just trying to figure things out, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can breathe, speak freely, and be fully yourself. I’m a warm, caring listener who shows up with patience, presence, and deep respect for whatever you’re carrying. I specialize in supporting people through life’s in-between moments - whether it’s starting college, questioning identity, launching into adulthood, adjusting after a loss, or facing the “what now?” moments of life. I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to show up just as we are, and I’m here to support you at your pace. My background includes years of working with adolescents and young adults in school, community, and clinical settings. I hold licenses in Clinical Social Work as well as School Adjustment Counseling. I draw from a range of approaches, including person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices, to create the therapeutic space that works best for you. I bring a grounded, nonjudgmental presence and see our work as a collaborative process. I’m here to help you deepen self-understanding, explore your values, and build the tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and committed to creating an inclusive space for all identities and lived experiences. My goal is for you to feel truly seen, heard, and supported in every session. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, talk through what you're looking for, and see if it feels like a good fit. You deserve support that feels right for you.

Marc is a seasoned clinician who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in his work with clients. CBT focuses on exploring relationships among a person's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. During CBT Marc actively works with clients to uncover unhealthy patterns of thought and how they may be causing self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. By addressing these patterns, the client and Marc work together to develop constructive ways of thinking that will produce healthier behaviors and beliefs. For instance, CBT can help clients replace thoughts that lead to low self-esteem ("I can't do anything right") with positive expectations ("I can do this most of the time, based on my prior experiences"). The core principles of CBT are identifying negative or false beliefs and testing or restructuring them. Oftentimes clients being treated with CBT will have homework in between sessions where they practice replacing negative thoughts with more realistic thoughts based on prior experiences or record their negative thoughts in a journal. Studies of CBT have shown it to be an effective treatment for a wide variety of mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and schizophrenia. Individuals who undergo CBT show changes in brain activity, suggesting that this therapy actually improves your brain functioning as well. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has a considerable amount of scientific data supporting its use.

I am a master’s-level clinician supporting adults across the lifespan navigating a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-criticism, and relationship concerns. I work with adults who often feel stuck, uncertain, or challenged by life circumstances, guiding them to explore their experiences, recognize patterns, and move towards a more meaningful and authentic life. My work is grounded in mindfulness, values, and identity. I primarily draw from ACT and existential therapy and integrate elements of EFT, narrative and psychodynamic therapy, and positive psychology. We examine patterns with curiosity and compassion, while developing practical skills and strategies to better navigate thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I aim to create a collaborative and supportive space where therapy is centered on your experiences and what matters most to you. Together, we explore new perspectives, deepen self-awareness, and experiment with approaches that help you navigate challenges with curiosity, intention, and a greater sense of purpose.

*When emailing me, please specify what you are seeking therapy for!* My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone is worthy of health, recovery, and a positive relationship with food and their body, no matter their size. My goal is to create a space that feels safe and supportive enough to make positive change happen. I specialize in eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED), self-esteem challenges, anxiety disorders, depression, and self-harming behaviors in young adults (18+) and adults and am currently the assistant clinical director of a nationally recognized eating disorder outpatient program. I utilize evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, with the belief that therapy is not "one size fits all." We will work as a team to figure out what is most supportive and effective for you. Recovering from disordered eating in a society that encourages it IS possible. If you are ready to take the next step in your recovery, I would love to schedule a phone consultation with you to see if we would be a good fit.

My clients are aware that something is not working and are motivated for change, even if they're not sure where exactly that change starts. My clients are often very conscious of the systemic stressors that make their lives more difficult, and come to me looking for support as they navigate challenges and imagine their futures. I specialize in identity exploration, trauma-focused practice, and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I use a blend of talk therapy and drama therapy to engage my clients in reflection on their present challenges from an embodied perspective, and provide a fuller understanding of how their past shows up in their present. I bring myself into my work, and hope to challenge the old idea that therapists inherently know more than their clients. You are the expert of your own life, and I would feel honored to be invited into your world. If you are interested in learning more about how I could support you, please be in touch.

Hello and Welcome! Whether you're new to mental health care or have tried it out already, making the decision to seek care is an important investment in your overall wellbeing. In my private practice, I care for concerns that are common among people in university settings, including anxiety, depression, stress, sleep, and self esteem. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy services. In psychotherapy, I also work with people on all kinds of issues that may not have a specific diagnosis to go with them, but which still can have a big impact on wellbeing, like navigating life transitions, relationships, family, setting goals, and managing the stress of the world and of being a student or university employee! My practice strives to be open and welcoming for people of all backgrounds and lived experiences. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and related disorders in college students and young adults. I also work with clients looking to effectively navigate and cope with current life stressors (e.g., work challenges, interpersonal relationships, transitions). I use evidenced-based techniques in my work with clients, and primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective. By emphasizing the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors clients will gain greater insight into their concerns and learn techniques for managing their anxiety and other life stressors. To target the behavioral aspects of anxiety, I will frequently incorporate exposure and response prevention (ERP) into my work to help clients to engage in exposures both during sessions and in real-world settings. I use a collaborative, personalized, and warm approach, working with clients to better understand their anxieties or challenges and encouraging them to become their own therapists over time while achieving their goals. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bowdoin College, research assistantship at Boston University at the Family and Development Treatment Lab, doctoral studies at Boston University where I trained at their Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), clinical internship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I then was a staff Psychologist at the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP), an intensive outpatient program at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Most recently, I was a staff Psychologist and Assistant Director at Emerson College’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Therapy with me is a place to slow down, understand what's driving this, and feel some relief. Having difficulty navigating family or relationship issues? Dealing with work stress/burnout? I have an extensive background in cognitive behavioral therapy and have over fifteen years of experience working with individuals to help them achieve sustainable change in their lives. I help clients to learn, grow, and resolve their problems -- whether big or small, simple or complicated. Those problems may include: self-defeating habits, hurtful relationship patterns, overwhelming anxiety, or debilitating depression. Milton Erickson is the psychiatrist, who revolutionized approaches to both psychotherapy and hypnosis. I practice in his tradition. That means: I don't just listen. I also reframe problems you might think unsolvable, change perspectives that stymie you, awaken dormant strengths, and teach lessons and skills you're missing. I am presently providing teletherapy services only to new clients. Although I do provide insight-oriented therapy to clients, who want better to understand themselves, most of my work is short term with clients, who merely want to solve their problems as quickly as possible.
