Therapists for college students near Boston College
Do you feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together? Maybe you have always been the responsible one or the person others rely on. You pushed through stress, anxiety, and family challenges because you felt like you had to. At first it seemed manageable, but now the pressure feels heavier and harder to carry. On the outside you appear confident and put together. Inside you might feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or worried that you cannot keep this up much longer. Wanting a break does not mean you are failing. It means you are human. I’m Sara, and I help students who are tired of perfectionism, constant pressure, and the weight of expectations. I work with people who want healthier relationships, better communication, and support as they process past experiences that still affect them today. My background includes ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, Brainspotting, and group therapy training, which allows me to tailor our work to what you need. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, honest, and real environment where you can finally let your guard down. I show up as myself so you can feel comfortable showing up as yourself too. You deserve a space where you can put down the pressure you have been carrying and focus on feeling grounded, supported, and hopeful. I am here to help you get there.

Welcome! You’re on the right track if you’re reading this right now. Seeking help is hard, especially while dealing with the transition to college life. I have found that my interest is in college age individuals after years of working with young kids to young adults. College life is tough and it might be the first time you’re truly on your own. I was once in your shoes but also have a lot of clients that have been too. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or just stress of everything college brings (academics, lack of sleep, social relationships, etc). I’m here for you. My main job is to listen to you but also to challenge you and your thoughts. I really value working as a team with my clients, we work together to reach your goals, both small and big. If you feel you want to learn more about me or have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to reach out. Every individual is unique and it’s important to find what works for you.
It's ok to ask for help. But it's also ok to wonder if a therapist can really help you. It's true that I can't erase your past or instantly take away your pain (although I wish I could). However, I can help you carry your burdens more lightly, whether that means healing from trauma, finding closure from a relationship, or learning new ways of coping with depression and anxiety. I can offer you a new perspective on the issues that you are dealing with. You have struggled alone long enough. Therapy is your time to feel supported and understood. I have extensive experience treating a variety of issues (see list of specialties below). I use several therapeutic approaches including person-centered, strength-based, interpersonal, compassion focused, multicultural, and CBT. Therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach. We will work together to figure out the best approach for your individual needs. I know it's difficult to reach out to someone you hardly know and share struggles that are so deeply personal to you. I will offer you a safe space where you can just come as you are. Clients describe me as kind, caring, and nonjudgmental. Please contact me for a complimentary consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.

As a new therapist, I bring fresh energy, deep curiosity, and a strong commitment to creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and truly yourself. I lead with a person-centered approach and believe that meaningful change happens when you feel safe to explore your thoughts and experiences without judgment. I work primarily with young adults navigating the complexities of identity, relationships, and the many transitions that come with this stage of life. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure of where to begin, you're welcome here exactly as you are. In our work together, you can expect honesty, care, and an affirming environment where all parts of you are invited into the room. This is an LGBTQ+ affirming space, and I'm committed to supporting you in becoming more grounded and secure in yourself while we explore whatever challenges you're facing.
