Life can be overwhelming at times, but growth is possible—even in the midst of struggle. I approach therapy as a partnership built on trust, empathy, and curiosity. My hope is to help you gain clarity, deepen self-understanding, and build the tools you need to live more fully and authentically. Most clients I see are looking to heal from trauma, family dynamics, or attachment wounds that continue to influence their current relationships and sense of self. If you feel uncertain, stuck, or pressured to “have it together,” I provide a compassionate, empowering space to explore your story, heal, and grow into your authentic self.
I've spent many years working in different college counseling centers and have a true love for the college population - so much is happening in emerging adulthood, especially figuring out who you are and what you want life to look like. Because of increased stress and responsibilities, it is also a time where mental health concerns can either emerge for the first time or increase in their severity. I find great joy in getting to be a supportive space and teammate for folks navigating this incredibly rich period of life.

Hi there! I am a mental health therapist (LMSW) who offers virtual appointments only, with some flexibility for weekday and/or weekend scheduling. I have limited capacity to accommodate emergency sessions. I currently work with adult individuals only. I am an unambiguously Black, pansexual, cis-presenting, able bodied femme who understands and emphasizes the importance of intersectionality within mental health. Born and raised in Detroit, I have a thorough understanding of the environmental obstacles marginalized folx are challenged with when exploring the state of their mental health. I uphold the belief that exploration and management of mental health is a life-long journey, and I take pride in being able to assist on this journey. I have an eclectic approach to mental health, including the promotion of methods for holistic health. My areas of focus include creating safe spaces for Black folx, POC, non-monogamous folx, and those in the LGBTQIA2SP+ communities. I provide talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral informed therapy (DBT-informed), motivational interviewing (MI), and solution-focused therapy models. While these are my current areas of comfort, I am open to exploring additional modalities that may be of interest to clients. Therapy is a collaborative space, and I treat it as such. Other areas of focus include treatments for anxiety, depression, fat acceptance/liberation, intersectional stigmas, ableism, ageism, sexism, womanism, mindfulness, sexual liberation, sexual health, communication skills, academics, life skills, religious trauma, and the importance of Black femmes putting their cape down and resting. I look forward to being part of your healing process.

It affects our relationships at work, home, and even our sex lives! It's not YOU, it's LIFE! My Specific areas of interest include marital conflict, divorce and/or remarriage, Infidelity, sex addiction, grief/loss, and more. If your LIFE is weighing you down, let's talk.

College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Many of the students I work with are trying to figure out their career path while also managing stress, anxiety, or feeling down. You might be questioning your major, worrying about the future, struggling with social anxiety, or feeling pressure to keep everything together while balancing school and life. I work best with college students who want a supportive place to talk through what they’re experiencing and learn practical ways to cope with stress, anxiety, and uncertainty about their next steps. Together, we focus on helping you feel more confident in your choices, manage difficult emotions, and build skills that make college—and life beyond it—feel more manageable.
We support young adults through life transitions, stress management, and learning new skills to cope with anxiety and depression. We also offer trauma focused therapy and crisis support.
Being a student in today's world is an incredibly challenging feat. Learning your place in the world in addition to trying to understand it are massive hallmarks of our generation. Don't worry, I'm not far ahead of you! Chances are you are looking for a therapist with an understanding of your unique set of challenges. As a neurodivergent therapist who's been through it I use EMDR, IFS, DBT, and CBT to help you embrace your neurodivergence as well as help you navigate your current and past traumas. Let's work together and see what we can come up with!
