I have spent most of my life surrounded by people who are uncomfortable with or unwilling to discuss their bodies and sexual desires. This has always felt like an injustice as having a someone that you feel comfortable discussing sex with can be a very healing and enlightening experience. Our bodies and sex are inherent parts of self and I believe that your relationship to and understanding of your body is one of your core forms of knowing yourself. To understand your desires, or lack thereof, is to better understand yourself as a whole. I enjoy working with people who wish to understand themselves better on a sexual level. If you are someone who is working to unpack purity culture, working to reclaim your body after a sexual assault, working through discrepancies in sex drives with your partner, working to have an organism, or you are exploring kink I would love to be the person who provides you with a comfortable and safe space to do so. Another one of my passions is exploring the relationship between ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergence with your ability to experience both sexual desire and sexual gratification as it is largely under-discussed and deeply important. I would love to work with you as you figure out what that relationship looks like for you, and how desire and sex function with your specific wants and needs. The more you learn about and understand your relationship with desire, the more comfortable and confident you can feel in and out of the bedroom. Gaining the confidence to own what you want, or even understand why you want it, will help you gain a sense of freedom. You deserve to feel confident in your relationship with your bodily autonomy. I cannot wait to work with you as you empower yourself in your body, in your sex life, and your life as a whole.

Accepting new clients! Hi There! My name is Olivia and I want to let you know I understand that life can be challenging much more than we can handle. However, by doing some therapy, your perspective may shift to your benefit and you’d be closer to meeting your goals. If things are little more complicated, we may need a little more than just few sessions. Whatever your need I am sure we can sort it out and discuss in more detail. I would love to hear from you! I am currently accepting patients virtually. I mainly use a client centered approach, allowing you to unpack your worries in the order you desire to release and share. I ask questions, as needed to progress towards the goals you desire to meet. Modalities I use include: Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy. Aside from being a therapist, I'm also a mother to three wonderful children and have been married since 2010. I have had my own trials and tribulations and I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the therapeutic process. My own journey has allowed me to better connect and understand humans on a deeper level.

How many times have those close to you tried to tell you what you should do? Do you feel like no one is really listening to your story? I strive to provide a space to be heard without being forced to conform to someone else's individual biases. You are the expert of your life: you live it. I'm an expert on process, and I want to help you find what change looks like in your life. I love the power of story, and your story is unique and rich. I tend not to subscribe to just one theoretical orientation simply because there is no "one size fits all" method of counseling. Rather, I draw from many different theories to devise a plan that will be the most helpful for you. My goal is to create the safest space possible: the one place where you'll never feel judged or criticized. Also, I am an Army vet, so I have a special place in my heart for vets and their families. I offer a discount for vets and their immediate families.

Life changes and personal growth are inevitable, and sometimes can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. ESPECIALLY attending college, being on our own for the first time, and trying to figure out this “”adulting” thing. A lack of change or growth can cause us to feel unhappy with ourselves. Whether you are struggling with adapting to changes in life or are feeling stuck, or feel pressure to trying to figure out your future, I’d love to help you! My approach is to meet you wherever you are (emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or physically) and help you set goals (at your pace) that you want to accomplish in therapy. My goal is to offer you a laid-back, sometimes fun, safe place for you to process your challenges, to feel supported, and to build confidence in your ability to initiate that desired change; or face those scary, inevitable changes. I received my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. My experience has been focused on working with children, adolescents, and families in residential, school and home-based, and inpatient mental health treatment settings. I have a background in working with mild to severe mental health issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation/self-harm, perinatal/postpartum issues, bipolar and related mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, and co-occurring disorders. Therapeutic approaches I commonly utilize are Motivational Interviewing, Brief-Solution, Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills, and Mindfulness Practices.

In my experience working with people from different countries, I’ve seen the importance of providing a safe space where you can be yourself, feel understood and accepted regardless of your culture, religion, race, gender identity, sexual preference, or background. A good therapeutic relationship and a common comprehension of what led you to start therapy, will allow us to guide the therapy process, integrate techniques from different therapies, and give you a better grasp of how to achieve your goals. I’m Bilingual in English and Spanish, I have a master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an Advanced Certification in Schema Therapy. I draw from an integrative psychotherapy orientation, that allows the integration of other evidence-based therapies/techniques.

Hello! First and foremost, I am so proud of you for reaching out to find support and connect with someone. It’s not always easy to say “hey, I am struggling!” but we all do, and we all deserve a safe space to process life. I am a life long Michigander, avid concert goer, board game enthusiast, and mom of two. I love being a therapist because I love connecting with others and creating a space to allow individuals to be themselves and talk about the heaviness of the day to day without judgement. I am an ally, advocate, and celebrator of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and genders. I am not religious but welcome and respect any religions you want to incorporate into your therapy. I offer telehealth sessions for college students- current priority will go to MSU students. If you do not have insurance and finances are the barrier to treatment, please reach out 💚🤍
