Hello! I am Dr. Amy Lee, I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA®), a member of the prestigious National Register of Health Service Psychologists organization, and a certified perinatal mental health expert. I have approximately 10 years working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Generally, my patients view me as someone who is transparent, humorous, and flexible in therapy. My "typical" patients tend to have difficulties regulating their emotions/impulses, tolerating stressful situations, and feeling overwhelmed and guilty about almost "everything." I have success with patients who have depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, work-related problems, family conflict, a history of trauma, relationship challenges, and social skills deficits. Please visit my website to get a feel of what I am like as a psychologist. I also provide one free 15-minute consultation to ensure that I can help you meet your goals, determine if we are a good fit, and answer any questions you may have about therapy.
We are often engaging in life through the means that we have been taught by all of those who have come before us. Life has become a perpetual cycle where bliss, peace, harmony, and all of the other facets that make life worth living seem to escape us more and more. Instead, we are trapped in depression, anxiety, distrust, judgment and more often than not our physical temples are suffering. Collectively, a shift in perception is needed. This starts with the individual. Traditional integrative psychotherapy infused with an array of healing modalities intuitively tailored to your specific needs. The sessions can include Kundalini yoga and Meditation, Energetic Clearing, Light Language, Shadow Work Healing, Ancestral Clearing, Womb Activation Healing & Cosmic Coding. If you do not have self –awareness; if you do not bask in your own love, if you are running on autopilot and have no INNERstanding- the world around you will reflect this. Your life is your classroom it is perfectly woven to bring you back to you. No exceptions. Take the time to be in relationship with self and know that all else will follow.

My therapeutic practice is based on my personal belief in inclusivity, human connection, and, human resiliency. I believe all people deserve to be seen and heard. As your therapist, I am committed to creating a safe space where you can better understand yourself and the world around you. Using psychodynamic approaches we can tap into not only how you can cope with life’s challenges but also, design a plan to help you feel empowered to create the life you desire. I am also experienced in working with issues such as depression, anxiety low self-esteem, grief, race, relationships, and mental health.
You don't have to figure it all out on your own! Students I work with are empathic and intelligent and are feeling pain about their personal lives and the world at large. They have difficulty asking for help as they are often the person others turn to for assistance. Distress can show up as failing classes, procrastination, insomnia, sadness, lack of focus, irritability, anxiety and feelings of hopelessness about the future. In our work together, we will identify sources of distress, resolve conflicts that are holding you stuck, and learn, practice and integrate coping strategies. We will tap into inner resources--including intuition, humor, beauty and resilience--to access healing and joy. Our work will enable you to become more grounded, self-aware, confident, and self-directed. I studied English and Environmental Studies at SUNY Albany and Williams College. I received my Masters in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University and my Masters in Social Work from New York University. My professional experience includes over 15 years working in academia, including serving as the director of a university women's and gender resource center, adjunct professor and academic advisor, in addition to my work as a psychotherapist. I am a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America and am a climate-aware and trauma-informed therapist. Many of my current clients are dealing with trauma and social anxiety. They often feel isolated and struggle with initiating and building healthy connections and friendships with others. Therapy can help you uncover choices and social skills you may not even be able to imagine now. My studies in creative arts therapies, mythology, Tarot, dreams and archetypes help you see your life stories with fresh perspective and flexibility. Students who work best with me approach therapy as partnering with a warm, compassionate, knowledgeable guide who can help them access intuitive, academic, physical and practical resources. We weave together a unique net of strategies that you can tap into as needed for coping with obstacles and stressors in your life.
Learning how to navigate life as a young adult is hard! You are trying to balance the demands of work or school, family, and friends, all while figuring out who you are and who you want to be. As a driven and successful individual, you may put a lot of pressure on yourself and feel constrained by your own expectations. This can lead to constant self-doubt and feeling like you're always reaching for an unattainable (or unrealistic) goal. You may be overextending yourself to others, and not focusing on yourself. Perhaps you have negative thought patterns or behaviors that are causing discomfort or you don't always understand your reactions. Virtual therapy can help. Let's work together to discover the barriers that are keeping you from finding balance in your life - taking care of yourself and setting boundaries is not selfish!
I specialize in supporting college students as they navigate academic pressure, identity exploration, relationships, and life transitions. College can be an exciting but overwhelming time, and therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and build skills that support both mental health and personal growth. I work best with undergraduate and graduate students who are motivated to understand themselves better, develop coping skills, and make meaningful changes during their college journey.

I believe everyone has the inner capacity to heal, which guides my work. As an Asian American clinician, I’m passionate about culturally informed care and creating a safe space that honors each client’s identity. “Adulting” can feel overwhelming—especially when anxiety, relationship challenges, or major life transitions are in the mix. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I specialize in supporting young adults, college students, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are facing these exact struggles. Whether you are feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure of your next steps, you are not alone—and you do not have to figure it out by yourself. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy or positioning myself as the expert with all the answers. Instead, I see our work together as a partnership—one where we explore your strengths, clarify your goals, and build a path toward the life you want to live. In our first few sessions, we will focus on building trust and identifying what you hope to gain from therapy. I offer a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Together, we will create a personalized roadmap that honors your values, experiences, and aspirations. I am looking forward to meeting you!
I have worked with many young adults who are developing a secure sense of who they are and who they want to become. This stage of life has become even more difficult as our world is evolving at a greater rate and the choices so much more complicated.
Kelly Solis is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the social service and behavioral health field. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked with various populations in a number of different settings. Currently, Kelly provides individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic, grief, or stress. Many of Kelly's clients experience feelings of sadness and low mood, sleep difficulties, low energy, trouble with concentration; as well as, feelings of anxiousness and worry, difficulty relaxing, and feelings of restlessness. She also provides support to those experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, loss, relationship issues/conflict, work stress, and trauma. Using CBT concepts, she educates clients on how one's thoughts can influence their feelings and behaviors. For those experiencing stress, Kelly works with her client to identify what is contributing to their distress and explore ways to improve coping, so that those stressors become more manageable. Kelly takes pride in meeting clients where they are and fosters a space where clients feel heard, safe, and where judgement does not exist. During the intake, Kelly will utilize that visit to gather information to understand the client's history and set goals together. She may assign homework which can help clients become more insightful as they move through the therapeutic process. Clients often leave sessions feeling relieved, understood, and overtime notice a reduction in symptoms. Whether it's your first time pursuing therapy or you're familiar with the process, it's important to choose someone who is a good fit and that meets your needs. Everyone deserves to have a space where they can be their authentic selves, express their feelings, receive unbiased feedback, and where they feel supported. I understand personally how challenging it can be dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other life issues, which helps me relate with clients on a deeper level. There's a life saying that I love which is "Grow through what you go through." College can be a great time to start exploring relationships and even making long-term bonds. However, the stresses of college life can challenge even the most loving of relationships. I assist couples to identify communication and intimacy issues that prevent them from connecting both physically and emotionally. There is no size fits all. Thus, I seek to collaborate with my clients to co-create a therapeutic experience that creates the trust necessary to do deeper work.
