Making the choice to pursue therapy is an investment in yourself. Therapy is a journey that is shaped by the relationship established between the therapist and the client. Regardless of how the pursuit of therapy evolved, I aim to establish a relationship based on trust, honesty, humor, and respect. These qualities are imperative in working through the difficulties that can disrupt life and relationships. Together we will work toward the fulfillment of your goals and potential.
My goal as a therapist is to work with my clients to help them use their natural strengths and abilities to move past their challenges. I believe that most people already possess the natural abilities and talents to move past mental health or sleep challenges, but might need some coaching or occasional suggestions in order to do so. I utilize therapeutic methods that have been rigorously researched and studied. I have extensive experience working with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, insomnia, and trauma.

When things are difficult, it can isolate us, drain our emotional reserves, and limit our ability to look at things in new ways. I work to help clients appreciate the depth of their experience, and support them toward personal strength and healthier relationships. My style is open, collaborative, direct, and supportive. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years in private practice. I also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Rochester's Counseling Center for many years. I bring a range of approaches, but tailor my work to the specific needs of each client. My specialties include issues of loss and trauma, depression, anxiety, medical concerns, life changes, ADHD challenges, LGBTQ+ support, and stressful family or workplace relationships. Many of my clients work in arts-related or other creative fields. I look forward to meeting you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York with over 8 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families through a wide range of life challenges. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I view therapy as a space to explore challenges from a holistic, eclectic, and ecological perspective. Together, we look not only at symptoms, but also at patterns, relationships, and life experiences that influence where you are now. I believe that the difficulties that arise in life can become opportunities for growth and expansion—when approached with curiosity, support, and willingness to explore. I currently offer telehealth services for clients across New York.
College and early adulthood can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. You may be trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and questions about your future, all while wondering if you’re the only one who doesn’t have everything figured out. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, burned out, lonely, stuck, or like you’re constantly overthinking. Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and care deeply about doing well. From the outside, they often appear to have it together, but internally they’re struggling with stress, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I won’t just sit back and nod, I ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and support you in developing healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to yourself and others. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in ways that promote meaningful growth. I provide virtual therapy for college students and young adults throughout Florida, New Mexico, New York, and Texas, making it easier to fit therapy into your busy schedule. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, engaged, and committed to helping you navigate this stage of life, I’d be honored to work with you.
Hi! My name is Tristan. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington and New York. I am an affirming and inquisitive therapist, and I believe through self-reflection and self-examination we can reach a more joyous, peaceful, and healthier life. I also prefer a person-centered approach, so we go at your speed, and what makes you comfortable. Sometimes I will push you a little more, but within limits. Loss is a quiet grief that doesn't conform to the world's pace, especially when we need stillness as well as acknowledgment. Whether your loss involves a companion animal, a relationship, a career path, or a life that looks OK to others but feels hollow to you, your circumstances deserve to be honored and processed with care. For many years, I have been drawn to working with people who carry more than they can say out loud. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, where I sat with families as they navigated some of their toughest moments. Those experiences, as well as my own, inspired me to become a therapist and have informed and shaped how I understand deep pain. I employ a variety of professional modalities, along with humor and a touch of sharp wit, when working with clients, centering them as they move forward with their lives. Grief is not a problem to solve, regardless of the type of loss you're experiencing, what others say, or what hustle culture expects from you.
