Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
I am currently seeing clients throughout Colorado via telehealth, as well as a local office for in person in Grand Junction CO. Adults I work with are often struggling with trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, or caregiver stress and feel stuck despite insight or past therapy. They may experience emotional reactivity, shutdown, dissociation, or repeating relational patterns and want deeper change. I help clients move beyond talk therapy using EMDR as a primary approach, supported by parts work and integrative mental health principles. Together we process stuck experiences, reduce emotional intensity, and build greater stability, clarity, and internal capacity for lasting change. I specialize in EMDR therapy for trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and codependency. I’m certified in integrative mental health and also use parts work and other trauma-informed approaches. I help clients process stuck experiences, reduce emotional intensity, and build greater stability, clarity, and balance. You may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, overwhelm, shutdown, or relationship struggles that haven’t shifted despite your efforts. I offer a supportive, structured space to help you process what feels heavy and create real change. If this resonates, you’re welcome to reach out when you’re ready.
Balancing academics, relationships, work, family expectations, and planning for the future can feel like a lot. I enjoy helping college students and young adults navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm in a supportive and down to earth environment. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more confident, grounded, and connected to yourself.

I am a therapist specializing in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ identity and relationships, life transitions, men's health, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual health, stress management, and student mental health — working with patients of all ages. With more than eight years of experience in direct care mental health settings and a background as a former educator, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing is a collaborative process and am committed to working alongside people from all walks of life to help you navigate your challenges and discover solutions that are right for you. My practice is founded on evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, and collaborative approaches. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to create a space where processing your experiences, build new understanding, and work toward meaningful goals all come together, so that every session moves you forward in a way that feels both grounded and purposeful. My path to becoming a therapist grew naturally out of my work as an educator. Many of my former students sought me out specifically, recognizing that they needed someone to direct and honest with them about their patterns and behaviors. Being surrounded by therapists throughout that time, I found myself continually inspired by the depth and impact of their work. That inspiration led me here. Today, I bring that same directness into the therapy room, helping you explore how your feelings and emotions connect to your history and how patterns, often without our awareness. By shining a light on those cycles, we can begin to understand them and, together, find a new way forward. Outside of the office, you can find me practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, playing video games, making art, or catching up on reality TV. These varied interests keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and rest, all values I bring into my work with you.
Welcome To Our Group Practice A message from the Founder and Clinical Director: I want you to know how excited I am to meet you. I light up when I think about ways I can support you and be a part of ushering human beings into a new world. I feel hopeful when I see the work of Brene Brown, HeatherAsh Amara, Tara Brach and many others like them who are doing work on a large scale to help us move out of the old paradigm of living from the head- comparison, acquisition, power at all costs, being the smartest person in the room, and fierce independence. We are evolving into heart-centered living- which is practicing empathy, compassion, acceptance, cooperation, openness, interdependence and curiosity. This is how I want to live, do you? I believe it is possible and heart-centered living starts with healing past wounds and freeing up our energy to take responsibility for our lives. I was a kid who had a lot of energy. I loved doing cartwheels in the grass, voraciously reading every single one of the books in the Babysitters Club series and climbing the weeping willow trees that grew near my house. I've always loved exploring, learning, and moving my body. Now, I use that energy to climb rock walls, hike mountains, and enthusiastically lead therapists in our thriving private practice while facilitating a kick-ass women's empowerment program. I get energized when I feel into how much healing we get to do together. I have discovered my gifts of curiosity, intuition, and a natural tendency to care about and hold compassionate space for others. I channel this into my work with individual clients, workshops that I facilitate, and the mentorship and training that I offer to the therapists who work with me at Insight. I want you to feel excitement about your life and journey towards bringing your gifts forth. We can help you discover who you are under the layers of self-protection, survival mode, and numbing the overwhelm. The first steps toward this is saying yes to yourself, beginning your healing, and trusting the process. Our group practice offers so many avenues for growth. We have specialties in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, group work and workshops, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Existential Therapy, and more. Explore our website to see what speaks to you and reach out to our Client Care Coordinator. She can determine who and what will be the best fit for your goals. If you feel a YES rising in you, if you want to live more from your HEART and SOUL- then give us a call and schedule your first appointment or join our next workshop. You are worth it. You matter. Take the leap! With Love, Respect, and Hope, Bethany

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in sex and intimacy, relationship dynamics, and identity-affirming care for queer, polyamorous, and kink-friendly clients. I offer a collaborative, non-judgmental space to explore desire, communication, and emotional connection.
Experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, I am passionate about helping patients improve their overall well-being and quality of life. I have more than 15 years’ expertise in various settings and roles, helping adults navigate struggles with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, postpartum and related women's mental health issues, grief, and schizophrenia. I value a collaborative approach to treatment, working closely with you and partnering with medical and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, individualized care. Improving lives with mental health care begins through collaborative care. That’s why I empower you to take an active role in your treatment, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and the use of evidence-based practices for diagnosis and treatment. I believe that medication is most effective when paired with therapy, healthy coping strategies, and supportive interventions, so I utilize all approaches to help you achieve your healing needs and goals. Mental health has always been a part of my life. My father worked in mental health as an Occupational Therapist, and my mother was considered a specialist in Autism, ADHD, and IDD as an Occupational Therapist. When I was 9, my brother entered the world with neurodivergence, and I had to adapt and learn quickly to support him. These lifelong experiences led me to become an advocate for patients, driving me to work collaboratively with them, treat holistically, and provide education. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy attending comic conventions, exploring new experiences with my two young children, 3-D printing projects with my husband, thrifting, collecting crystals and minerals, and crafting.
We are a small private practice located in Fort Collins, CO who treat individuals struggling with depression and/or anxiety. These conditions include a variety of symptoms including feelings of sadness, loss of motivation, low energy, isolation, feeling worthless, disruption to appetite or sleep, racing thoughts, over-thinking, worry, nervousness, and panic attacks. Due to these symptoms, the ability to function normally is impacted, and many of our clients are having difficulty in school and in their relationships. We use an evidence- based treatment called Cognitive Behavior Therapy to address symptoms and help our clients feel better. We work well with individuals who are motivated to make changes and implement the tactics they learn in between sessions. Please visit our website for more information: evolvecounselingnoco.com

Hi, I’m Ana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy in Colorado. You may appear to have everything together, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or like you are constantly masking parts of who you are. Many of the people I work with feel caught between identities, cultures, or expectations that never quite feel like home. I work with young adults and adults (18-30s) navigating minority stress, trauma symptoms, burnout, high-functioning anxiety, and feeling detached from themselves. Many are college students or early-career professionals trying to understand who they are and build a life that feels more aligned with their identity and values. My approach centers the connection between identity, culture/environment, and the whole Self--mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul. Drawing from somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, multicultural therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and systems perspectives, I help clients understand the protective patterns that once served them, reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with who they are. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have not always felt understood or supported in other spaces. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation where we can talk about what brings you here, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

Looking for a therapist can be overwhelming, but finding the right fit shouldn't feel like a group project you're doing alone. Hi! I'm Cait, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who genuinely enjoys working with college students. I first found myself in the client chair during my undergraduate years, so I understand how vulnerable and sometimes intimidating it can feel to reach out for support. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and down to earth. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, talk through what's been weighing on you, and develop tools that help you feel more confident navigating life's challenges. If you'd like to learn more about me and my approach, I invite you to explore my website. I also offer a free 30-minute consultation where you can ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and you deserve to find someone who feels right for you.
My name is Sarah Lucas, and I'm a licensed professional counselor in Denver, Colorado. I was born in North Carolina and have Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Studio Art from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, and a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, transitions, pre- and post-partum difficulties, and relationship struggles. I utilize multiple therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT to create a treatment plan that suits each client's unique needs. I'm a practical therapist, so I want to give you strategies to use outside of the therapy session in your daily life- as well as offering a listening and understanding ear. I hope you leave every session with me feeling empowered, supported, and more compassionate towards yourself. I want to help you navigate transitions and design your life with courage and confidence. We'll open up, talk goals, make plans, and work together to help you feel good. Along the way, I'll be here beside you to remind you that you are wonderful, just as you are.
I specialize in trauma therapy, with extensive experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and other traumatic experiences. If you’ve been through something overwhelming, it can feel like a fog has settled over you, affecting every part of your life. You might find yourself overthinking, being on edge, shutting down, or feeling numb, even when you want to feel present and connected. Many people I work with feel stuck in this space and are unsure how to move forward. Together, we’ll work to understand and process your emotions, thoughts, and past experiences so they no longer hold the same power over you. I use EMDR and other approaches to help you address what’s at the core of your symptoms. Feeling safe and understood is essential to this work. We’ll move at a pace that’s manageable for you, creating a space where you can show up as you are without pressure or judgment. While this is a vulnerable process, it’s also what allows for deep, lasting healing. Therapy can help you relate to yourself with more clarity and compassion, develop new patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and fully yourself—and to feel more in control of your life—I invite you to reach out. We’ll start with a conversation and see if working together feels like a good fit.
