Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
In today’s fast-paced world, many people are expected to keep pushing forward while quietly carrying the emotional and physical burden of chronic illness. I am passionate about supporting individuals navigating chronic health conditions and the psychological challenges that often accompany them, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, and disenfranchised grief. I believe in a holistic path to healing; a path where the mind, body and spirit is embraced in the work that we will do together. I primarily use a combination of IFS, mindfulness, SE, hypnotherapy, CBT, ACT, and narrative therapies. Over the last 20 years I have worked extensively in a variety of healthcare settings including long-term care, hospice, and an acute care hospital setting. Recently, I worked as a medical social worker in the ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic where I supported patients and their loved ones in navigating the unknown. I also have experience in supporting those who suffer from more rare illnesses including autoimmune diseases, multiple chemical sensitivities, mast cell activation syndrome, chronic inflammatory response syndrome, and chronic Lyme. Working in a variety of healthcare settings has provided me with a unique lens into the many needs and adversities that individuals encounter in the US healthcare system. Through my experiences I have seen firsthand how connected our minds and bodies are, which led me to study interventions and techniques that can help manage a multitude of symptoms such as anxiety, pain, GI distress, and much more. I also have additional training in trauma-informed care and am now a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I work hard to find the right combination of therapeutic interventions to meet each individual's needs.

I received my postdoctoral training at the Harvard Medical/McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute residential program in Belmont, MA. I earned a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, PA in 2018 and a BS in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Conditions treated include: All presentations and subtypes of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) - Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) - Hoarding Disorder - Skin Picking Disorder - Trichotillomania - Perfectionism - Violent or sexual obsessions - Treatment of co-occurring disorders - Social Anxiety Disorder - Panic Disorder - Agoraphobia Anxiety Depression I integrate a variety of treatment techniques with a primary focus on CBT, ERP, ACT and mindfulness-based approaches. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma-informed care, crisis stabilization, and supportive interventions for individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Whether you’re facing a moment of crisis or working through the longer road of recovery, I am here to walk alongside you. My work is rooted in crisis response, de-escalation, and community-based behavioral health care. I believe that everyone deserves compassionate, accessible support during life's most difficult moments, and am committed to being a steady, grounded presence when you need it most. My goal is to help you find stability, safety, and a clear path toward ongoing care. When we work together, you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely heard and supported. I draw on person-centered and strengths-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), to help you build insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My style is collaborative and adaptive, meeting you where you are and tailoring care to your unique experiences, goals, and the pace that feels right for you. Above all, I am passionate about helping you access the support and stability you deserve. My path to becoming a therapist grew from a deep calling to support people through high-stress and vulnerable moments in their lives. That calling shaped not only the work I chose, but how I show up for it every day. Each experience along the way deepened my commitment to providing care that is both accessible and compassionate, particularly for those who need it most. In my practice now, I bring a grounded, empathetic presence to every session, and am honored to be a part of your journey toward healing. When I’m not working, I cherish time with the people who matter most to me, especially my daughter, family, and friends. I also enjoy getting outside, watching movies, and finding small, everyday moments to slow down and recharge. These moments of connection and rest are what keep me present and energized for the work I love.
Experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, I am passionate about helping patients improve their overall well-being and quality of life. I have more than 15 years’ expertise in various settings and roles, helping adults navigate struggles with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, postpartum and related women's mental health issues, grief, and schizophrenia. I value a collaborative approach to treatment, working closely with you and partnering with medical and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, individualized care. Improving lives with mental health care begins through collaborative care. That’s why I empower you to take an active role in your treatment, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and the use of evidence-based practices for diagnosis and treatment. I believe that medication is most effective when paired with therapy, healthy coping strategies, and supportive interventions, so I utilize all approaches to help you achieve your healing needs and goals. Mental health has always been a part of my life. My father worked in mental health as an Occupational Therapist, and my mother was considered a specialist in Autism, ADHD, and IDD as an Occupational Therapist. When I was 9, my brother entered the world with neurodivergence, and I had to adapt and learn quickly to support him. These lifelong experiences led me to become an advocate for patients, driving me to work collaboratively with them, treat holistically, and provide education. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy attending comic conventions, exploring new experiences with my two young children, 3-D printing projects with my husband, thrifting, collecting crystals and minerals, and crafting.
I help individuals from high-demand religions and neurodiverse individuals thrive in life and relationships.

Ready to become unstuck and empowered to take charge of your deepest struggles? Many aspects of our lives can make us feel completely powerless, but having a therapeutic guide can remind us of what we already know about ourselves while pushing us to think outside the box, discover personal meaning, and branch out of our comfort zones. I enjoy using creative, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions that will help you embrace your complex and beautifully human life journey. I’m ready to meet you where you are with intuition and empathy. Together, we can initiate healing that leads you toward confidence, fulfillment, and wholeness. Regardless of the presenting challenges and diagnoses, I often focus on how your struggles relate to and are impacted by the systems in which you exist, such as family, intimate relationships, friendships, work, and society as a whole. I also believe therapy can hold both depth and humanity. Humor, authenticity, and genuine connection are part of the process. Even when we’re discussing difficult or uncomfortable topics, you will be met with openness, curiosity, and no judgment. I'd love to hear from you if you have questions or are interested in involving me in whatever journey you're on!

College can bring a lot: new freedom, pressure to succeed, and the stress of figuring out who you are and where you are headed. Many of the students I work with feel weighed down by anxiety, burnout, overthinking, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to be perfect. Others are coping with ADHD, past/current trauma, anxiety and social anxiety or just the everyday stress of classes, relationships, and big transitions. With 12 years of experience working in university counseling centers, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges of college and graduate students' lives. In our work together, you will find a supportive space to talk honestly about what is on your mind, learn coping tools to manage stress, and feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to help you feel less alone and more able to handle the challenges of college life.
As a queer therapist, I believe there is no one “right way” to live our lives. This is the same for therapy, there is no “right way.” I believe we all have the power to harness our strengths and find the path that gives us the most meaning and purpose. Clients are the experts in their own lives – each person has the tools and skills to solve their problems, though sometimes may need some outside help to find those tools and learn those skills. Together we can create a therapeutic alliance that is conducive towards self-discovery, growth, and fulfilling your potential while honoring your history, resiliency, values, and beliefs. I completed my Masters in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I am working towards being a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, gender diverse, the consensual non-monogamy (CNM) community, and I am kink/BDSM-affirming.

The loss of relationships, shifts in identity, anxiety, and depression can all pile up fast. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to push through it by yourself. I specialize in working with college students who are balancing academics, relationships, and personal challenges. Whether you’re navigating stress, self-doubt, loneliness, or a major life transition, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel confusing and overwhelming. Let’s work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and in control of your journey.
Welcome to Greever Counseling! It has always been a deep conviction of ours that each and every person has immense value, meaning, and potential. Sometimes, life has a way of beating us down, until we no longer can see this within ourselves. Sometimes, we have been so hurt that we hide, avoid, lose hope, or give up…Sometimes, we run to coping patterns that ultimately leave us even more disconnected and isolated from ourselves and others. It is within this space where we want to welcome you. You don’t have to be perfect here. Often, it is within the context of brokenness where beauty and growth can occur. We take this work as a sacred opportunity to meet you, exactly as you are, and to help you find your path towards freedom and healing. It’s not an easy journey, but it is so worth it. Greever Counseling specializes in PTSD (trauma), Anxiety, Sex or Porn Addiction, Intimacy Issues, Couples Work, and Men’s Issues. If you are a psychological theory nerd (as we are), we operate from an integrative viewpoint which includes Relational Psychodynamic and Interpersonal Neurobiology, as well as processing tools within Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Mindfulness. Ultimately, we believe that the starting point for healing is found within the context of a deeply authentic and relational encounter with another.
My approach relies on a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship where we can safely engage in healing work. We will navigate the pains and challenges of today, while fostering an understanding of how the past has played a role - all while inclining toward a meaningful future. I will provide tools for immediate relief as needed to support this process. I often work with folks who are highly sensitive, feel different or misunderstood, have overwhelming emotions, struggle with relationships, have low self-esteem, are queer or questioning, or are seeking to develop identity, purpose, and meaning in life. I would love to talk to you more about how I work, hear about your goals for therapy, and answer any questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you!

And we're here to walk alongside you. We provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based therapy for adults navigating emotional and psychological challenges. We are a social justice oriented psychotherapy collective, committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for all clients to explore their lived experiences.
We all hold the inner knowledge of what is best for our lives but sometimes need a gentle guide to help us find our path. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where you will feel comfortable expressing difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences, whether that be through traditional talk therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) or psychedelic integration work. EMDR is an evidenced based modality that assists in resolving distress related to past traumas. Trauma is not always what happened to you but sometimes what did not happen, such as physical or emotional neglect.
