As someone who’s always loved the creative process and felt deeply attuned to the inner world, I believe that our emotions and sensations carry important messages. They can guide us toward understanding ourselves, healing, and finding balance — especially in a college environment where it’s easy to get caught up in expectations, pressure, and constant thinking. When we disconnect from how we feel in order to “get things done,” it can lead to burnout, anxiety, or a sense of numbness. In our work together, we’ll take time to slow down and reconnect — using somatic (body-based) techniques, art-making, mindfulness, and personal reflection to help you better understand what’s happening inside. This process can be especially meaningful if you’re exploring identity, navigating relationships, managing stress, or living with neurodivergence. I support students who are dealing with anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, perfectionism, or who simply feel “different” or overwhelmed by the world. My approach is grounded in the belief that you already hold the wisdom and insight you need — my role is to help you access it with curiosity and compassion. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University. I’m also an artist, yoga teacher, and trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). In sessions, I integrate talk therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, KAP work, and somatic practices to create a collaborative space for exploration, growth, and self-discovery. If you’re curious about working together or just want to learn more, I’d love to connect.

Life can bring stressful experiences that, ignored, can lead to feeling like we’re drowning in a sea of our own emotions and memories. These experiences can bring uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and sensations that are hard to understand– It can feel hard to trust others and ourselves. It can be hard to let ourselves get close to the people we love. Thoughts, feelings, and memories can feel unbearable. If you’re ready to take a step toward a more balanced and fulfilling life, together we can: Release painful memories keeping you trapped Swim above the numbness keeping you disconnected Tame the spiral of thoughts keeping you out of control Does this resonate with you? If so, you’re ready to work with me. Through deep, challenging work, I will guide you to a renewed sense of connection with yourself, your relationships, and your world. Let’s get started.

Are you seeking emotional safety, clarity, and practical tools to strengthen relationships, manage stress, build resilience, and move through life transitions with greater confidence, connection, and self-compassion? As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, developmental disorders, and relational challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to heal, build resilience, and show up as your authentic self. Reaching out for support is a meaningful first step, and I look forward to working together to help you feel understood and inspired as you move toward meaningful change. My style is collaborative and genuine, and tailored to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences. I’ve always believed in approaching therapy through a trauma-informed lens, honoring every person’s story and pace, allowing me to better create a welcoming, collaborative space where individuals feel safe, supported, and encouraged to show up as their true selves. Outside of therapy, I enjoy cooking and baking; getting outside to hike, run, or ski; and catching live music when I can. I also love spending time with friends and making space for the people and activities that help me feel connected, grounded, and recharged.

I help young adults shed their self-doubt, people pleasing, and outdated expectations of who they should be, so they can discover what feels genuinely aligned and feel more connected to themselves and in their relationships. Our work can support you in setting clearer boundaries, understanding and expressing your needs, confidently making authentic decisions, and relating to yourself and your body with more compassion and trust. This is a space to let go of perfection, get curious about what you're experiencing, and reconnect with yourself so you can feel more grounded, whole, and fully alive. I offer walk-and-talk and virtual therapy; many of my clients come to me for support with anxiety, low self esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, and eating disorder recovery. We can talk, create art, play games, or connect with nature while we explore your emotions, find your voice, and move through challenges at your own pace. Together, we can uncover patterns and past experiences that may be keeping you stuck, helping you untangle the threads, release societal pressures, and create lasting change. My goal is to help you live a more confident, fulfilling life. If anything here resonates, reach out for a free consultation. I'd love to hear your story!

I am dedicated to supporting people as they navigate through the new chapters that pregnancy and parenthood bring. I'm certified and trained through Postpartum Support International as an advocate to increase awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. I also specialize in grief and loss, infertility, and adoption. In addition, I offer services and support to individuals and couples wanting to improve their relationships with themselves, their partners and/or their family. I specialize in working with those who are experiencing; depression, anxiety, grief, relational challenges, self-identity issues and trauma. My goal as your therapist is to provide you with an environment where you feel heard and understood. I value creating relationships with my clients and want to build a trusting space for you. I work in collaboration with you to find skills that work for you on an individual basis; actively working towards moving your life in a direction that you desire. Unlike traditional talk-therapy, our work is present-focused, where we work on identifying your values and goals, and look into how they fit into your life. It’s common to believe that you should be able to handle whatever life throws at you on your own, however having support and guidance along the way can make the learning curve much less intimidating.

Students I work with often have a lot on their plate and feel stuck trying to manage it all. You might be dealing with anxiety, feeling down, struggling in your relationships, or unsure of your direction. Even if things look “fine” on the outside, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or frustrated by patterns that don’t seem to change. Many of the students I work with are motivated for things to be different, even if they’re not sure how to get there yet. You may have tried to figure things out on your own but feel ready for support that is practical and actually helps you move forward. In our work together, I focus on what’s already working in your life and help you build from there. Therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and centered around your goals. You can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, gain clarity, and take manageable steps toward feeling better, improving your relationships, and creating meaningful change.

Hi, I'm Michael, I understand that tackling life's challenges can feel daunting. We can feel overwhelmed, and not sure where to start. Whether you are going through a tough time or have been grappling with an ongoing mental health concern, therapy can be a tool to help you learn more about yourself and develop strategies to better manage these challenges. Prior to going into private practice I worked in college counseling for 5 years so I am familiar with the unique challenges college students face in managing their mental health while in school. In working with me, clients can expect to have a warm and non-judgmental space where they can work through personal challenges as well as work towards goals and areas of growth. Outside of work I enjoy catching a horror movie, hiking, and spending time with my diva of a cat. Some of my areas of clinical interest include, relationship and family issues, college counseling, trauma, anxiety, non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, substance use, grief & loss, and depression. I have a passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and have experience providing safe and affirming therapy for trans and non-binary clients. Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you is so important. If you are interested in learning more about me and my approach to therapy please reach out and we can schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi there—I’m Odira, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience guiding students and young adults through life’s twists and turns. I understand how hard it can be to fit therapy into a busy schedule, so I offer sessions only in the evenings and on weekends, whether we meet in person in Abilene, TX, or connect virtually across Texas and Colorado. Many students wrestle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship ups and downs. That’s why I blend person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approaches to create a space that’s uniquely yours. You know your story best—I’m here to listen, offer fresh perspectives, and partner with you to build practical tools for navigating transitions, strengthening connections, and fostering growth. Over the years, I’ve led behavioral health teams and delivered therapy in community and clinical settings—experience that’s deepened my understanding of the pressures you face on campus and beyond. My passion is creating a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore your strengths, cultivate resilience, and gain clarity. Ready to get started during those after-work or weekend hours? My approach to mental health counseling and high performance psychology does not focus simply on getting rid of challenges and difficulty, but rather aspires to honor what is good and right about you, and what makes each day worth living according to your beliefs, identities, values, and enriching relationships. Ultimately, I hope to help students like you move towards empowering the identities and values most important to you, building enriching relationships, and thriving in your chosen passions. I offer in person services in Lawrence, KS, and telehealth services across 42 states (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I have extensive experience and passion working with undergraduate and graduate students, including student-athletes, and students who identify as autistic and/or have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. My aim is to provide a space that invites exploration of challenging yet vital places of growth in the service of what is most important to you in your life and performance space. In particular, I love supporting students' resilience to shame ("not enoughness"), self-criticism, pressure to be perfect, social and performance anxiety, body image concerns, grief and loss, panic, and trauma. At my core, I am inspired by feminist and multicultural approaches to healing that seek to interrupt systems of oppression that impact you. From that core, I use trauma-informed, evidence-based methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and self-compassion to support you in taking action towards what matters even in the presence of challenge. Finding a good fit is so vital to your counseling or sport psychology wants, and can be such an emotionally taxing journey. After an initial meeting, if you don't feel there is a great fit between us, I will work hard to connect you to people who may be a better fit for you. Let's make this process as stress-free and successful for your needs as we can.
